Absolutely the best meal I had on the island!! I asked the waiter for a run down of gluten free and he said let me bring you our gluten free menu! :) it listed items that were not gluten free. Mostly anything breaded or fried. So you have ALOT of options :). I had the most amazing Mahi Mahi and grilled shrimp on delicious rice. I sampled some of what my family was eating. The sausage, brisket, and peel and eat shrimp. I was so full! Fast service and loved how the waiter cared and knew about the separate gf menu.

The waiter didn’t know what celiac was but after I explained it a bit he brought me a gluten allergy sheet that had a list of things to avoid. Overall the experience was really good!

There is no separate gf menu. My server was very helpful, she told me which items are safe. So most of the smoked meat is safe, except the chicken. Several of the sides are safe. I had brisket and turkey, with mashed potatoes and broccoli. It was excellent, no reaction.

I advised waitress I had celiac and she came back with a sheet showing what should not be ordered if you cannot have gluten. So no gluten free menu per se but they do have some guidance on what is considered gluten free although the menu does state the kitchen is not a gluten free environment so cross contamination is possible.

This restaurant should be removed from the celiac friendly list. I wish I had read the other reviews before trying this place. They clearly do not understand what is gluten. I got very ill. I asked the waiter to double check and he sounded confident. I had the 3 meat plate with turkey, sausage and pork ribs with potato salad and pinto beans and just tasted a little bit of both bbq sauces after confirming they were Gf. I am super sensitive and it could have been cross contamination as well.

I didn't get sick! The food wasn't that great overall, and the communication was a bit lacking.

I was asked if I could have soy, and I said yes. It took another few minutes to realize she meant soy *sauce*, which was *not* gluten free!

I got a few different answers about the food from the waitress and the manager, and then even another from the chef that day.

I was told I couldn't have pulled pork because they make it with sauce and none of their sauces are GF. Turns out they can make it without sauce.

I was told no mashed potatoes, and I had just read another review that said mashed potatoes were safe 🤔

I was told the sausage was safe, but after I ordered the chef told the manager that they had marinated it in their beef stock that day, which is not GF.

Overall, I felt like I was taking a fairly large risk eating there, but I didn't get sick.

In reading their menu, we chose, as take out items, pulled pork and shredded beef. Sides were Cole slaw and pinto beans. These were chosen after discussing the GF options that were available with the staff. Meal was ready to go in 20 minutes. Knowing that there are few barbecue sauce choices that are GF, we had brought our own, proven safe sauce. We did this twice. The first time, everything was perfect. The second, was not quite so good, as the beef was greasier than the first time. The restaurant’s chef did tell us the second time that the mayo in the Cole slaw was not GF, but not having a problem the first time, we decided to do it again. No negative issues.

Ate here for dinner tonight. Had a very pleasant experience! Called ahead to see if they had gf options and checked with waiter upon arrival. It’s a bbq place so there were many options. I had a two meat plate with pulled pork and sausage. I chose mashed potatoes and creamed corn for my sides. It was all tasty! I would visit here again!
