Mancino's Pizza and Grinders

I get their gluten free pizza often and I do not have any reaction. The pizza is really good too!

How would you rate the taste and quality of the gluten-free food you tried?

— Excellent

Update August 2021. I usually get delivery (door dash) and don’t see the preparation but I stopped in for a pick up and they were running behind due to staff shortage. They didn’t know which order was mine and I was able to watch my pizza being made. I noticed the dough and pan were each Saran wrapped and then wrapped together when he started making the pizza. It was prepped at a separate table not attached to the usual prep area and the toppings were stored separately from the others. I saw him wash his hands and put on new gloves to make the pizza and put it in oven. He worked on other orders in between but washed his hands and put on new gloves when he checked it and and then again when he took it out of the oven. Made me feel even better about their pizza. The crust can be a little “doughy” if not cooked long enough but, when it’s crispy, it’s great!

Menu is clearly marked with red next to any menu option that is gluten free or is available GF with a modification. Menu is also available online to “plan ahead”. Fries & Nachos are GF. Most pizzas and sandwiches become GF with a crust or bread substitution. Pizza crust is great -very thin. Bread is ok. Salads are GF without croutons and all but one salad dressing is GF. The kitchen is in open view of the counter so you can watch them make your order. GF pizza and “grinder” sandwich go through the oven conveyer on new aluminum pan and pizza was placed in to-go container on same pan to take home which is great for reheating. Myself and another celiac (who is extremely sensitive) both ate pizza with no reaction. I have also had sandwich without reaction. Yes, there is a sign that says they don’t recommend celiacs eat there because of possibility of cross but, honestly, I think that is more liability protection than anything for them. Of course any kitchen that is not dedicated has the possible of cross even if they are careful but that is a chance I am willing to take when I see a restaurant that takes the needed precautions as they do - especially when you can watch the process.

Amazing Gluten Free Menu and I've never had an issue here.

We went out of our way to go here and were very disappointed to find that they are NOT celiac friendly. They have a sign by the order counter saying there is likely to be cross-contamination and they strongly recommend people with celiac disease NOT eat their food. Their food may be good for others, but celiacs beware. I gave them three stars because I appreciated the warning.

Had a grinder, it was fantastic! The bread is some of the best I've had since being diagnosed.

they have a sign up reminding you other wheat based products are used and made in the kitchen, so eat at your own risk of you have celiac. however they have lots of options, their bread is made off site at a gf facility and their staff seem knowledgeable. it's not fancy fine dining, but a nice place to stop of you don't want to cook or are on the road

gluten free grinders are awsome but there is a sign up on the wall where you pay and it states that it is NOT a guarantee that the gluten-free food has not been contaminated with some regular food

excellent! go there for great gf food. the grinder bread is amazing.

If I could give Mancino's more stars I would! The food is excellent, all of the staff are competent and friendly. ALL of their staff are certified in food prep gf and they have a designated kitchen to cook the gf food. We have never felt so safe eating gf at a restaurant.

Grinders are wonderful!!!! The pizza is okay. Best part is I can eat here and not worry about getting sick.

The management here is Excellent ! They take extra special care and precautions to make sure that there is no cross contamination of gluten. The gluten free food is really good and I would recommend this place to everyone.

I spoke with the management and found out that they have all their GF products separate from everything else. They even have their own dedicated work area and utensils for the GF orders. I think the pizza is alright, but I love the grinders. I've had several different ones already. Love this new menu.

Great gluten free pizza and grinders starting May 5th

The girders were absolutely delicious! The bread was soft and fluffy and didn’t have the grittiness that most GF breads have. My favorite was the steak, which had a nice amount of meat in it. We are only intolerant so we can’t speak to the full cross contamination for celiacs, but as for us everything was perfect. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about items. Lost anything can be made gluten free. Will go again and try the pizza next!

I called to make an order and our order was split between gluten free and gluten. I told them we had a few with gluten allergies and he said, “not from us you don’t.” I then asked if they had cauliflower crust and he said they didn’t have gluten free crust. (That was not my question) He then proceeded to hang up on me. I called back and said we must have gotten cut off….knowing we hadn’t been. He said that he hung up on me because I kept talking and he didn’t want to argue with me. I was not arguing one bit. I was clarifying and ASKING if they have cauliflower crust. He then hung up again. It would have been helpful for him to tell me if there were ANY gf options such as salads or grinders. I won’t be supporting this business.

Very accommodating to gluten free and dairy free dietary restrictions. The grinder I had was one of the best I've had. And the prices are very reasonable.
