I'm celiac and pretty sensitive to cross contamination. Our waitress was so helpful. Most of the menu can be made gluten free. I had the chicken picatta(I couldn't get it out of my head after reading another review!!). It did not. disappoint and was DELICIOUS!! French onion soup was so good as well. The chocolate lava cake was the best we've (my non celiac husband and myself) had in a long time. I suggest making reservations as the place isn't very big. We will be back.

The chicken piccata made gluten free was delicious! The waitress made sure she double checked everything with the kitchen that she didn’t know, including verifying the red pepper bisque soup was safe for me to eat as well! Everyone is so friendly, and you’ll often see the owners there working along side their staff, which I always think makes a place better! It’s not shown on their online menu that they can make most items gluten free, but it is on the menu in the restaurant. If they could add that detail in, I think they would get a lot more customers as Hamburg seems to lack places that have a lot of options for gluten free dining. You can’t go wrong here!

My wife and daughter Are both celiacs, and we’ve eaten at Mason’s many times. The owners wife has celiac disease, and the take the preparation very seriously and communicate GF options very clearly. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are great, the staff are very knowledgeable and welcoming. Every visit has been a success, and I’ve never dealt with my wife or daughter complaining about being “poisoned”. Mason’s is definitely worth the stop.
