There is no dedicated GF menu. Staff (including manager) are very uneducated about Celiac and cross contamination. It’s evident the staff has zero training on food allergies nor do they care to learn. I’ve eaten here several times, different years of staying at the Westin and the Maya never gets better or seems to want to get better. Usually with gourmet type dining, they will attempt to accommodate you, this place never has or never will. Ultimately, every time I go, I leave very frustrated and not full. Big thumbs down with disappointment.

So. I have so many mixed emotions about this place. Up front I will say I did not get sick. But I would have if I didn’t ask a million questions.
First, they have a heated tent. During The Covid this is a nice offering. It felt very safe and we sat right next to the fresh air recirculation and tables spaced very far apart.
BUT. I had asked the day before if the chips were GF. Was told no. So I brought my own so i could still have the guac. Looked at the menu and it’s says tons of items are GF. Including the nachos. Well how can that be? Quiz the poor server (who clearly didn’t write the menu) and he goes back to kitchen for the report they are NOT gluten free. I then tell him i have very low confidence that anything marked on the menu is actually GF. I ask to talk to the chef, told it was too busy.
We didn’t have a lot of options at this point on Valentine’s Day and a Sunday night. I can usually find something at Mexican places to eat and did safely have the seafood platter (special) and the carnitas entree.
So if you eat here, make sure you ask 100 questions about your order. And be sure to tell them their menu needs updating ASAP. I did!

The menu was marked very well for things with and without gluten and/ or other allergens.

Inside The Westin
No gluten free menu but the waiter told me most items could be made gluten free. Chips are fried in same oil as gluten, so I couldn't eat the chips and salsa. I had the tacos and they were good.
Items are marked if they contain gluten. The waiter wasn't sure about the fryer risk so he gave me the tortillas unfried. I would suggest celiacs be careful here. I wasn't 100% convinced about the safety.
Had the gf tacos, 3 different kinds, all were very good. Came in a corn tortilla. I have celiac and had no problems. This was located within our hotel, inside the Westin.
