I’ve been to another Mellow Mushroom before, so I felt confident that my pizza would be taken care of. They cook gluten free pizzas on a tray and prepare them in a designated section of the kitchen. There are 4 pizzas that can be made strictly GF. I always get the Kosmic Korma and enjoy it every time. I also like the pizza crust! Definitely a safe, tasty option for friends and families to eat at. Cool atmosphere too!

Mellow mushroom is always a good, safe chain to go to because they prepare their gluten free pizzas in a separate area (away from all the horrible gluten). The staff always brings the gluten free pizza out separate from the gluten ones to insure no contamination, which I appreciate. Never gotten sick!

Pizza was pretty good, but it upset my stomach both times I went there.. don’t recommend if you are extremely sensitive to gluten

Love this place. I’ve never gotten sick and eat heat often. They also have vegan cheese!

Menu marked. Separate area for prep. Pizza tastes like crap. I’d rather eat a tire.

We travel from ny to visit daughter. A must more than once! Very accommodating. Knowledgeable servers.

I like the thick crust that is so rarely found in GF pizza. The toppings are generous too. But there is nothing spectacular here. A good old pizza place.

Has the best GF crust around (we have had almoat all of it in Raleigh and Cary) Little low on the toppings for the price, but the crust is worth it.

Separate GF pizza menu and the pizza was delicious!! Can only get medium size so will cost you about $20 - so go hungry or expect leftovers!

I got very sick after eating here. Based on previous reviews, others seem to have had good experiences so maybe it was my server/that specific kitchen staff. I told my server it was an allergy. Thus, I recommend anyone eating here to be very explicit and repeat that they have an allergy several times. I was very sick immediately after eating at this location, but have been totally fine after eating at others.

Ate here the other night after convincing the boyfriend to try it with me. The server not only offered to re-clean the table upon hearing that we were going to be ordering gf. But even asked how severe my reaction may be with cross contamination. Was pretty impressed with that and him not treating me like another fad-dieter. He took it seriously. Upon reassuring him that I wouldn't die, just get sick later on. We ordered our pizza. Now we got the gf, dairy free (Daiya cheese is offered here since I also happen to have a dairy intolerance) Didn't get sick later, much to my surprise. It is a pizza place after all so I was skeptical. At this particular location they have a separate area that it is prepared in according to the menu in store as well as their online gf menu. Reading their online gf menu before we went, they seem to be more responsible than most restaurants around me are which was nice.

Not all Mellow Mushrooms have the same level of quality, but this one is exceptional. The GF pizza is separately prepared and handled, as it should be in all Mello Mushrooms. But this particular restaurant actually makes a great pizza. We've had the Mighty Meaty, Veg Out, and Cheese pizzas. They were all delicious and harkened us back to our pre-GF days. We always ask for extra cheese, and I recommend it. The management gets kudos for extra attention to our satisfaction !!

They do a great job of avoiding cross-contamination in their kitchen and the pizza is good - it has a bit of a hippy taste to it (you can tell they use sprouts and other veggies in the crust) but I like it a lot. Deducting a point because they never seem to know which toppings are OK for gfree. I've eaten the all meat pizza several times and not had an issue.

Gluten free pizza is pretty good. We've been several times with our daughter-in-law and the servers are great, they really take care to make sure the order is correct.

Great experience! The downtown Raleigh Mellow Mushroom uses a separate container (with a lid) for gf silverware and plates and even salt + pepper shakers. They asked if it was a diet preference or food allergy. There is an extra 15 minute process they go through in the back to ensure it is gluten free and no cross contamination. Worth waiting (not too long.) The pizza was delicious! Crust was good. They even let us do half and half of two different pizzas. Gluten free beer too. Great experience!!

Great pizza but way over priced!

very unfriendly and unwilling to answer questions and help out. the crust was soggy and not very good. on top if that the table was covered in gluten crumbs that they wouldn't clean off. got sick. not q pleasant experience

I ordered the 12inch gluten free pizza without cheese, caramelized onions, black olives and mushrooms. The pizza was ok and not my favorite dough made from sorghum, amaranth, teff and tapioca flour blend plus xanthum gum as it was a bit chewy. The Angry Orchard cider was good and the service was good too.

Can order online and they have 4 different certified GF pizza options. I always call when getting take out to be safe! I got their hoyse special pizza with GF crust, it was delicious.

Non GF family member happy with the pretzel bited & beer cheese.

Went here with my GF kiddo. The staff was very friendly. Let the server know about the celiac. Told us which of the pizzas were GF. Kiddo decided on plain cheese. We were told they changed gloves, separate oven, etc., for gf. Good experience!
