I’ve had mostly good experiences here! Only four of their pizzas are available “certified gluten free” and those are prepared with fresh gloves in a separate area of the kitchen that only houses the gluten free ingredients. My only caveat is to make sure the server knows you need a certified gluten free pizza if you’re sensitive, since all the pizzas can be put on gluten free crusts without other precautions. Once I forgot to emphasize this and ended up sick.

I would never eat here if you are sensitive. I got extremely ill and had to go to the ER due to continued vomiting and stomach pain. Not worth it

Probably the safest mellow mushroom I've ever been to. The server specifically asked if I had celiac (I had never been asked this before). When I told her yes, she then told me not to use the paper straws because they use glue to hold them together that contains gluten. They went above and beyond to make sure they didn't cross contaminate!

We had 2 gluten free pizzas and 2 side salads. Food was delicious and my celiac daughter had no issues. Mellow is a safe restaurant for us wherever we go and this one proved to be the same.

Our waiter, Andrew, was wonderful. He assured me our gluten free pizza would be delivered to the table uncontaminated. It was nice to enjoy a meal out with our celiac toddler. A former employee of Mellow that we know had assured me they were careful there. We had a wonderful experience and we felt safe feeding our toddler their food. Thanks for caring, Mellow!
Yes
Definitely a hit or miss type of place. The actually care they take in preventing contamination seems to depend on how busy the restaurant is. And it's super expensive for a thin, crusty pizza.
Our waitress was very knowledgeable about gluten issues, cross contamination and what was safe. Great care was taken and it was a very good experience.

I ordered the 12inch gluten free pizza without cheese, caramelized onions, black olives and mushrooms. The pizza was ok and not my favorite dough made from sorghum, amaranth, teff and tapioca flour blend plus xanthum gum as it was a bit chewy. The Angry Orchard cider was good and the service was good too.

Went here with my GF kiddo. The staff was very friendly. Let the server know about the celiac. Told us which of the pizzas were GF. Kiddo decided on plain cheese. We were told they changed gloves, separate oven, etc., for gf. Good experience!
