Let me start by saying I've loved MV my whole life. They have GF items listed on their menu but after our waitress checking with the kitchen 3 times to be sure, it comes out that not even the tacos or chips are safe for celiac because of a shared fryer with flour tortillas. Staff is not prepared for celiac customers. Our 7 yr old celiac ended up getting the only "safe" thing- disgusting tacos made from soft corn tortillas, rice and beans. She didn't eat any of it.
— Not at all
— Gluten-free items are marked on the main menu
— Not Much
— Poor
The staff was knowledgeable however the only safe option was the soft corn tortilla shell as the hard shells and chips are fried in the same oil as the flour tortillas.
Lived here my whole life & LOVE MEXICAN VILLA!!! Never have had an issue getting sick. I usually have the Tostada w a side of beans now that they will prepare GF menu items. I sure fo wish I could have a Sancho Enchilada style & some cheese dip though!!! MMMM...so good!
The food is crappy Mexican food. The tacos are like expensive Taco Bell quality.
The gf sauces have msg and the guac is bland. Won't be going back. We all felt sick before we even checked out.

Food is not good if you like real mexican food. The locals seem to like it but I found the sweet salsa disgusting.
Delicious food, great service!! Very knowledgeable about gluten free, states on the menu what is gf. Did I mention the service was awesome? We told them it was our first time to visit there, and they explained everything. If we ever return to Springfield, we will eat there again.
