Waitstaff is super knowledgeable and assured me that the kitchen is super careful about cross contamination. They unfortunately do not have a dedicated fryer for fries but he was able to list all the gluten free sides very quickly and confidently.

Delicious meal that the whole family loved! Does not have GF items marked but our server was able to point out all safe options and answer questions. She was very helpful and made sure to mark a gluten allergy for the kitchen. Separate fryer for fries so I could enjoy them with my bison burger and GF bun that didn’t fall apart upon looking at it! Double win!! I would definitely recommend this place.

This was a win for sure. While they don’t have a gluten free menu the wait staff is able to talk you through what can be made GF. Big win - dedicated fryer! You just need to make sure you tell your wait staff you have celiac or a gluten allergy. They told me the kitchen sanitized and washes the area completely when handling our food.

My wife and I ate there last night. First time since I have been gluten-free. They had 2 beers on tap, Ecostar IPA and Amber Ale that are gluten removed and from local breweries. Very good. Tried the classic Hamburg with gluten-free bun and fries. One of the best buns I’ve had. Fries prepared in dedicated frier. Did not get sick. We will come back.

Gluten free fries, hurray! They have a dedicated fryer, just be sure to ask. I had truffle fries and they were amazing. I ordered the grain salad as well and panicked when I saw what I thought was farro on it. The server had the executive chef come and talk to me about it— it’s grout, not farro. He assured me it was gluten free. They never once made me feel like a burden for asking questions. No reactions and the salad was delicious!

We had great good, great service and our waiter was extremely careful to understand the gluten allergy issue. He was a fairly new waiter so took the extra effort to double check with the cook regarding our order.

My husband and I stopped at Montana Ale Works prior to heading into west Yellowstone. We ordered the special (mushroom risotto), two burgers and flourless chocolate cake. It was amazing! No dedicated fryer, but I had slaw as a side instead. Gf bun was great. Local meats that have a quality taste. Allergy was noted on the ticket for the chef.

Excellent veggie burger with GF bun

The food was amazing! Everyone in our party absolutely loved their meal. From the burgers to the schnitzel to the meatloaf, it all exceeded our expectations. The flourless chocolate cake was delicious. The restaurant wad very celiac-friendly, providing clear info on gf options. The GF buns were some of the best ever ever had. Can't wait to go back! (I've never given a 5* review before, but this was well-deserved).

The staff is very knowledgeable about what’s gluten free. They do offer gluten free buns for their burgers that aren’t listed in the menu.

This place was great! My non gf family said the schnitzel was the best one they’d had since they were in Germany. The chef made the red chili chicken enchiladas gluten free for me and they were so good!! They can make accommodations for almost everything on the menu, the staff is very knowledgeable; they even have desserts. Be prepared to wait a little bit because this place is popular but definitely worth it.

Menu not marked but servers are well trained and know the menu very well including what is GF. Many choices. I had the Alabama bbq chicken. Roasted chicken with excellent bbq sauce. They also have Green’s GF Amber pint bottles.

The food was amazing and delicious. The waiter was very knowledgeable about Celiac Disease and Gluten-free, when my food came out they asked which one was celiac and then gave it to me. Would recommend if you are gluten sensitive or celiac! They offer two gluten free deserts as well, the flourless chocolate cake and the crème brûlée.

My husband wanted to go here because he had a good experience here several years ago. It got good reviews on Trip Advisor and Find Me Gluten Free despite not having a gluten free menu or anything designating gluten free items on their menu.

The waiter was knowledgeable about gluten and was helpful.

My husband said the tater tots were excellent but his burger was dry.

My son and I split an order of fish tacos with which we were dissatisfied. The taco shells were dry and stiff and the fish did not taste fresh. Overall I just didn’t like the flavor combinations of the fish taco at all. The corn chips they served were good. The salsa is really sweet and not to any of our liking.

Sort of left feeling like I paid $$ prices for $ quality food.

The food in this restaurant is very good. The service was also excellent. They do not have a gluten free menu, but our server was more than capable of handling all of our gluten free questions. Great! While they don't have a dedicated kitchen, we were told one of the chefs wives has celiac disease, the wait staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable. And although my celiac symptoms don't seem to be incredibly sensitive I do have immediate issues with cross contamination but I had none and food was delicious!

Was in town 2 days and only ate out here both days. Great atmosphere, tasty food (burgers, steaks, chicken & salads). The food was flavorful and they answered all my questions about celiac safe/gf safe. Both servers were friendly and ver careful to make sure it was SAFE, no side effects either. They were accomodating and kind. My favorite meal was the Alabama rotisserie chicken with garlic mashers and roasted vegetables(yummy) but the wagyu burger was flavorful too. Although they have a dedicated fryer for gf, I didn't want to take the chance. I'd recommend this place to anyone !

Very knowledgeable every time I visit. Wasn't particularly impressed the time I ordered a bunless burger and it came on a bare plate- no lettuce, tomato, nada. Requested lettuce to wrap my burger and received one small piece... Sigh. Ate it with a fork.

From out of town but this is the second time I have been here. Burger and bun where very good! The staff is very aware of gluten and other Allergen issues. The waitress asked me if I was gluten free as a preference or was it celiac related. I am also allergic to dairy not just lactose intolerant. The waitress helped guide me through the menu and had great suggestions!

The food was great as was the service. Server took note of gluten and dairy allergy. When she served the food she stated "gluten and dairy free" as she set my son's meal down.

Staff was knowledgable and helpful. Several gluten free beers available. Gluten free options noted on menu. I had pasta and a flourless chocolare torte for dinner. Everything tasted great. Gluten eating party members liked their meals. The place has a great atmosphere. We really enjoyed our time there and would go back if we are in Bozeman again. I am not Celiac, so I can't vouch for contamination issues. I have other food intolerances and they were helpful with those issues.

Best GF restaurant in town! I am constantly surprised by the extent of options. The J bar l burger with Gf bun or Mac n cheese with bacon are my favorites. I was told one of the owners it's Gf so he tries to make everything accessible :)
