They stopped offering gluten free bread as a sandwich option. That's a shame.

They do not sell gluten free sandwiches any longer. The only gluten free options are the plates of pork. Extremely dissapointing.

I used to live in Durham right when these guys opened and I swear the food just keeps getting better. They said they no longer have the GF buns but I am always happy with the luncheon platter. I always ask for extra pork drippings on my rice and use the mojo sauce liberally. We also buy their traditionally rendered lard for home cooking. My favorite meal in the Triangle.

I was excited to eat here after reading the reviews, but did not get to, as they were out of gluten free bread and rice. Based on other reviews, this seems like a pretty common thing here, so I would recommend having a backup plan if you plan to eat here. The staff seemed semi knowledgeable about gluten but not entirely, and they were not apologetic about being out of gluten free bread and rice. It smelled amazing though, and my friends who were able to eat sandwiches raved about them, so it may be worth a try if you're in the area.

I have celiac disease and am pretty sensitive to cross contamination. I have ordered the sampler plate twice without any issues. They also offer gluten free bread, but both times I was there they had already run out. They also have a sign by the register that recommends that Celiac's do not eat the sandwiches.

The food itself is very tasty and plan to make this a regular lunch spot.

I looove this place. Their sandwiches are incredible and when they run out of bread there's still a pork plate with rice and beans etc. that's gluten-free yay! Also the coffee is perfect - reminds me of being back in Spain!

Awesome food, very friendly and accommodating staff, and just an overall terrific shop. Make sure you don't get your sandwich pressed like previous reviewers have mentioned. Outstanding sandwiches, the best GF sandwich bread I've had.

Very delicious! Went here for a Sunday brunch and got a Sandwich. The GF bread is $2 up charge, but worth it because it is actually bigger!

Very knowledgeable staff. I am dairy free and they were able to help with that too. Great menu options for gluten or dairy free. They cooked my sandwich with foil on the panini press. I had no problem with contamination.

i have died and gone to sandwich heaven. big fat pork sandwiches (veg options too) on locally made GF crusty bread from Imagine That Gluten Free. *Do ask them not to press it on the panini press bc it's used for regular bread. other house plates and sides are GF too, like maduros, rice, beans. All in an old bldg that actually looks like it's from La Havana in its glory days.
