Our server didn’t put us at ease much, but he seemed stressed with how busy the place was and rushed us along as quick as possible. He did tell us he has to warn us they can’t guarantee anything is gluten free (fairly standard in most restaurants these days). But I asked if they take precautions and use separate pans, etc, and he said they did. We ordered some delicious GF pizza and pasta and it was out of this world! Extremely delicious and none of the people in our group with celiac disease had a reaction, so it’s a win!

Great gluten free options! The staff was excellent! They were very knowledgeable and friendly. I had the penne pasta with chicken in a vodka sauce. It was so delicious! Even my non gluten free husband loved it. My mom, who also has celiac, got the baked ziti which was also delicious. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Palm Desert.

I was in Palm Desert for a few days with my family and ate here twice. The BEST gluten free, dairy free pizza I have ever had. I am celiac and very lactose intolerant and didn’t have a single issue.

Absolutely amazing. One of the best GF meals I've ever had. An entire GF menu, staff incredibly knowledge and able to speak on kitchen precautions. Cannot say enough good things about this place!

We had 2 different gf pizzas (basic cheese and a sausage one) and pastas (Alfredo and vodka rose) so delicious.

Just ate here, I’ve had the gluten free pasta with schrimp and it was amazing! They also serve gluten free pizza. And the most amazing thing is that they have gluten free chocolate cake. My husband and I shared the cake wich was a good thing to do because I would not have been able to finish it alone. But wow the cake is amazing!

After reading reviews here about this place we decided to try it out. My first time eating GF at a restaurant with a dedicated menu. Wow! I was so impressed and it was so good. I felt normal again and no side affects after. Wish it was closer I had the Penne pasta GF with Daiya cheese on top.

We chose Piero’s based on the recent reviews and we were not disappointed. The GF Pollo Pizza was delicious. And don’t forget to order the Flourless Chocolate Cake. YUM! We ordered the food to go, but will be back to dine in soon.

Dinner here was excellent - celiac and thrilled with the gf menu options and knowledge of the staff. I had the artichoke appetizer, Bianca pizza on gf crust and had some of my husband’s short rib (also gf). Everything was excellent - great atmosphere too!

One of the best gluten free meals I’ve ever had! Started with several gluten free apps-eggplant rollatini and the flatbread. Both were super tasty. For dinner I had the mushroom and burrata gluten free pizza which was so good, the crust was flavorful and crisp, the sauce and toppings were delicious as well. Service was great, food came out quickly, server/staff very attentive. Cannot wait to come back during next trip to Cali!

TL;DR - Positive experience, Celiac & super sensitive to cross contamination. Make sure they know allergy.

We went on a Wednesday at 2pm, and it was busy! We told our server that we have Celiac (very sensitive to cross contamination), and she gave us a gf menu. They do say that they take precautions, but can’t guarantee.

We ordered a gf pizza, but she came back after talking to the chef and said that because they were so busy, the chef was worried that they wouldn’t be able to help cross contamination as well as they would like.

She suggested that we choose pasta instead, as it would be safer. We both ordered gf pasta dishes (one w/ chicken, one w/ shrimp) and they were delicious!

Although we were disappointed not to be able to try the gf pizza, we appreciated that 1. The server talked to the chef specifically for us, and 2. They were honest about the situation!

She did say that when they are slower, they do take good care to not cross contaminate their pizza, so my suggestion would be to try to find a non-busy time - but seeing as we went on a Wed at 2, I’m not sure when that would be. Maybe right at opening?

Will edit review after a day or two to see if we had any glutening reactions. Overall, awesome.

They have a separate GF menu and when I mentioned I was celiac, the waiter noted it on the order. He did also mention that while they couldn’t guarantee 100% GF environment, they are careful.

We went twice, both times having salad and pizza. I love that the pizza dough made fresh and baked in the pizza oven. Nothing frozen here. It’s a thin crust, but has the crunchy, bubbled edges that you only get from a fired oven. We had the Speck both times, simple and yummy.

First time we had the Kale salad and second time the arugula. The salads are heavy on the greens, light on additions. They were dressed well with good dressings.

No GI issues afterwards either time.

I am a very sensitive celiac and I’ve done great eating here. Their GF pizzas are really yummy and I haven’t gotten sick after eating here. Highly recommend!

Dedicated gluten free menu. Pizza was very tasty, thin crust. House made mozzarella or dairy free daiya brand "cheese". I had mine without cheese or cheese substitute and it was delicious. Grilled asparagus wrapped in prosciutto was also very good. Gluten free pasta available.

They cook the GF pizza right on the sane oven surface with the gluten pizza. They were courteous and honest about it, but not a safe choice for celiac
