We ordered a gluten free vegan pizza and had no issues with cross contact for Celiac or dairy allergy.

Typically order in from the uptown location. Ate at the North Loop location once since my daughter was diagnosed. She had the GF cheese pizza and no adverse reaction. Generally I think their GF pizza crust is good. We don’t allow gluten in our house, so when we order in the whole family eats GF.

Good gf crust and options, but I got a definite reaction that woke me up and can’t eat the $50 worth of leftovers.

Tasty pizza but I got a reaction all 3 times I’ve eaten here this past summer. Currently typing this up at 3am dealing with some symptoms. I don’t think this is a very safe celiac place. I think that, with flour being able to get everywhere, it is really hard to not cross contaminate. Good pizza, but I’m way too sensitive to eat here.

Ate multiple times. Convenient, fast, seemed safe. Able to select gf when ordering online and only those options came up. Gf confirmed at pick up. Options were mainly pizza and pasta. The only gf pasta was spicy (as noted on menu) which wasn’t great for a child. Pizza worked well.

I had a boss pizza and wings. The staff seemed knowledgeable. Everything was good. I am very sensitive and didn’t get sick.

I have been here a couple dozen times, but have gotten sick the last few. Make sure to tell them you have a gluten allergy so the kitchen is aware, otherwise it will be cooked the same as the normal pizzas. The baked potato pizza my favorite.

Excellent knowledge of GF items. Menu is well designed and labeled for GF and GF by request. Pizza is delicious. My non GF husband said it was really good and he is extremely picky...

It was a treat to have GF lentil pasta with meatballs delivered. The sauce has a little kick to it and the pasta didn’t overcook in transit.

I’m from Chicago and am pretty darn judgmental about pizza. Luce has an insanely good gf crust and excellent sausage to boot. Power greens salad w tahini dressing also excellent.

I trust this kitchen and have never had a bad experience there. You can order wings and salads gluten free, and they will assemble the food in the gluten free area of the kitchen to avoid cross-contamination. The pizza crust is awesome, though it doesnt reheat well for leftovers. Their vegan cheese, both the mozzerella and ricotta versions, is also very good. The gluten free bread they include with bruschetta and artichoke dip is FANTASTIC too!

Great GF pizza, bread and wings. Lots of options.

Have only had the pizza and wasn’t impressed. There were other non-pizza options but I’m not sure I’d go back.
Great pizza, excellent service and no reaction. The artichoke dip and GF bread is amazing!
Pizza was great and their menu had items labeled whether they were already gluten free or could be made gluten free upon request! They could even do appetizers! They also had a GF brownie sundae :)

This is my old reliable for GF pizza. The crust isn't amazing, but if you're specific about being Celiac they take every precaution to avoid cross contamination. They have a great selection of specialty pizzas as well as creating your own. The GF stuffed shells are solid, too.
If ordering delivery I recommend calling rather than ordering online since there isn't a good way to designate Celiac with their online form.
I've never been dosed when dining in and the only times I haven't felt great after are when I ordered online.

Had spinach artichoke dip and gluten free Althea pizza and didn’t get sick then I went a few weeks later and got really sick and ordered the same thing, ugh.

The menu clearly indicated gluten free options (it has many). The staff was educated in gluten free options as well. I can’t speak to cross contamination, but the menu outlined that their pizza crust was made locally at a gf dedicated bakery. I highly recommend the Pizza Athena. It was one of the best crusts and pizza topping combos I’ve ever eaten. The Burning Pyro Pale Ale was great too! Highly recommend this spot.
Best pizza I’ve had in my life!! Wish I lived closer!!!
The staff was super friendly, and the gluten free bread was amazing! My sister who can eat gluten said the gluten free bread was better than the normal bread! There also were a lot of options available.

So good! Enjoyed every bite. Vegan cheese also available.
They have a gluten free crust and put the pizza on a piece of parchment or something while it’s cooked. They told me it’s in the same oven which has a fan so cross contamination seems likely. Good option to have thought.
Bruschetta has the best GF bread I’ve ever had! I have to say it was only the bread that was good. The tomatoes and cheese were average. Ordered the pizza and it was average at best. The GF pizzas are also close to $20. But I will always remember this place for the bread!
The staff at this location was very knowledgeable about Celiac and cross-contamination. The bartender even informed me that their ciders on tap are on dedicated lines to prevent cross-contamination from beer. I did not have a reaction after eating here. However, I feel that the $4 upcharge for a gluten-free pizza is rather excessive, hence only 4 stars instead of 5.

Fun pizza options, even the seasonal option can usually be made gluten free. I haven't been sick any of the time's i've eaten here over the years.

Had the gf stuffed shells with garlic toast and it was fabulous!! Going to wind it up with the Molly Sundae which I anticipate will also be wonderful. Kyle, my waiter, is the perfect mix of service and hands off so I can enjoy my meal and my book. I would definitely come again--Margharita pizza next time! Yum!
Yes
Contacted the restaurant and they prepare items in a dedicated space but bake the pizzas on the top shelf in the same oven. I’ve had their food just as I was diagnosed with Celiac, but before I knew about cross-contamination. The taste was fabulous. If they get a dedicated oven, that would support their dedicated space.

The staff was very knowledgeable about Celiac safe gluten free options, which included pasta, pizza and even a dessert!

Got the GF stuff pasta shells and it came with GF garlic roll.....all of it was fantastic
the stuffed shells are an incredible treat.... I rarely see g-free stuffed shells!!! And the g-free rolls are huge and delicious! Add in speedy delivery to my downtown hotel and I wish I could give 6 stars!!!

I have celiac and I have been staying off of diary, and I was thrilled with the pizza available at this place; it was delicious. It really means so much for someone to take the time to create great food that tastes so good and that doesn't make me sick to my stomach. I got no kickback from this place

Dinner tonight was AMAZING! I have Celiac and am dairy free as well. The staff was very knowledgeable and reassured me they take very serious precautions. They also offer a dessert-which is rare in the Celiac community that was both dairy AND gluten free. Loved my experience and wait staff.

Never had an issue. Pizza and appetizer options. And go for brunch and get the gluten free pesto egg benedict.

Ate here recently and the gfree crust was so thin and burned it was almost inedible. Previously, crust was thicker so not sure what happened.
Fantastic gluten free bread and artichoke dip. They deliver as well and were very prompt in getting my order to my hotel. Highly recommend.

Been going here for years with no issues (I have celiacs and am highly sensitive). Everything that’s gluten free is clearly marked, staff is knowledgeable and there’s plenty of options.

No issues. Okay artichoke dip with well-toasted GF bread. GF pizza only comes in one size ((10”) and reminds me of the Udi’s frozen crust (it may be, for all I know), which I like. A nice lunch.

We had an amazing time - the food and environment are top notch. They have so many options and are so conscientious about gluten. They bake pizza on its own tray at the top of the oven to prevent cross contamination, and are very flexible about changing out ingredients to make it work for you. While it’s not a dedicated kitchen, they take care to keep you from getting sick. Mocktails are great too!

Pizza Luce has an exceptional variety of pizzas, appetizers, wings, and seasonal desserts that are gluten free, and the kitchen takes great care in their preperation. They did once put wheat-bread in my delivery order, and if I hadn't been a regular I wouldn't have known better/wouldn't have called to check-- the gluten free bread is like a soft hamburger bun while the wheat bread is crusty. The manager apologized, offered to send another delivery person out to give me new bread (I did not accept this since it seemed excessive but it was endearing), refunded me for the entire cost of the appetizer, and spoke to the new employee who made the error. Despite the scare I still feel comfortable ordering there because it's clear they take safety seriously, but it is worth noting that somewhere in the order assembly process there's a chance for a mixup.

I have eaten at Pizza Luce on multiple occasions and will keep returning! The pizza topping range from classic (cheese, pepperoni, supreme) to interesting. The gluten free pizza comes in one size. You are also able to get most classic or specialty toppings so you don't have to miss out on flavor and fun! I have eaten at the restaurant and takeout with no issues in regards to my allergies. Staff seemed knowledgeable and they take reasonable precautions when you mention (or even just order) gluten free.
