Be careful of what is told to you by your server. I would request a manager. Dinner served with sauce that server "forgot" had beer in it. Luckily I verified with a manager before eating the dish. Once manager involved delish gf dinner was served. Great restaurant!!

Very knowledgeable about GF. Not a ton of choices. No specific gf menu. Server just went through menu and told me what I could have and what I could not. More nots. No gumbo.

Good place but expensive for lunch. 30$ for their specialty: hickory grilled red fish. The choice of GF options are limited

As a Cordon Bleu chef myself, and one who has eaten at many of the best restaurants in Europe, I am often disappointed when I eat out. But not here! The entree I have just eaten at Red Fish Grill is literally one of the best dishes I have ever eaten in my life, despite the fact that I requested the dish to be made without two of the main ingredients (crab and ham!). The sous chef who created my dish (Hickory Grilled Redfish: Tasso & roasted mushroom Pontalba potatoes, Louisiana jumbo lump crabmeat, lemon butter sauce) was Russell Bittermann, and he also created to order a vegetarian jambalaya (not on the menu) for my dining companion that was apparently absolutely amazing too. Frankly I am astounded that the reviews are not as gushingly positive as mine is. Sure it would be nice if there were more gluten-free desserts on the menu but if you go to New Orleans and fail to fine here for that reason you are insane! That sous chef is a genius, seriously! DO NOT MISS THIS ASTONISHINGLY FABULOUS restaurant! And not only was the food itself spectacularly good, the server, Ike Jackson, is adorable, entertaining and would be worth a visit even if the food were less good. I am over the moon. So so so glad I chose this restaurant. We will definitely be back. OUTSTANDING!

GF options are not indicated on the menu but the staff is very willing to directly ask the chef about your options and work with you. I had the red pepper and tomato soup and the grilled tuna salad- both delicious!

We had a great, safe GF meal here. The manager came out & explained our GF options. She also explained that they wash the grill and use clean utensils when prepping GF requests. We both had the signature dish, Red Fish with sweet peas & mushrooms & a side of grits. The only reason I give the review a 4-star is due to the lack of a GF dessert option. We ended up at Muriel's for some GF flourless chocolate cake & GF "snickers" terrine.

Staff and kitchen very knowledgable of gluten and contamination. Lee and Kenneth are the managers and directed us to wonderful combinations. I am100% intolerant of gluten, ate at Red Fish 8 times during our stay with no problems. I am waiting for Red Fish to do their famous bread budding gluten free.
