It was a fun place and a good change from the norm, but nothing was WOW. We will probably go again someday.

Took over an hour to get food and it wasn’t very busy. Bartender took our order, told him I have Celiac (boyfriend eats regular) and he brought me out regular pasta that looked exactly like my bf’s. Asked if it was gf and he said yes, I wasn’t comfortable eating it because I knew in my gut it wasn’t. Waiter came back and told him I wasn’t comfortable eating it because it looked like regular pasta…sure enough kitchen said it wasn’t gf because water put it in as regular pasta, not gf. Won’t be coming back, that bartender needs to be educated.

Cute little Italian place in downtown Colorado Springs. They have GF pasta and GF crust. Nothing really marked GF on the menu but the waitress was really helpful and answered all my questions and if she didn’t know, she would go ask the chef in the back

Fantastic Italian Restaurant. They have a dedicated gf area in their kitchen our server was very knowledgeable. Many items can be made GF. I had the Chicken Marsala. They subbed gf penne pasta for the gnocchi. Also had delicious gf cheesy bread. This was the first Italian I have eaten in years at a restaurant. Sure wish my home town had one, but my hips are thankful for that. Lol highly recommend.

After seeing so many positive reviews on our local GF FB group we tried it. It was so good. The waitress said they have a separate prep area for GF. She was very knowledgeable and asked the kitchen to confirm everything before placing our order.

Gluten free options for garlic bread, most pasta dishes and pizza crusts. I had the alfredo and it was amazing with the gluten free pasta. Flourless chocolate cake is a dessert too!

Came to visit my kids and granddaughter for a few days and found this wonderful place last minute. We didn't have a reservation but they sweet hostess sat us anyway with a 2.5 hour time limit 😂 party of 4 with 1 toddler. My gluten sensitivity makes eating out hard and Red Gravy goes all out! Our server was also wonderful with keeping me safe! Pizza! Pasta! And Cheesy bread?!? Safe to say, I OD'd on carbs that day. Will definitely and always be back when I am back in town. Thank you ❤

I love this place so much and have been here ~10 times. I never had a problem until my most recent experience. I got pasta (which was wonderful) and then ordered a pizza to go for my lunch the next day. Probably an hour after eating the pizza I started having awful symptoms & realized I most likely was cross contaminated. I think it may have been my fault for not clarifying again that I needed them to be extra careful when I placed my takeout order at the end of my meal. Will go back and give it another try eventually because I’ve had so many positive experiences!

Lots of GF options. I got seafood pasta and tomato soup. It was delicious. Highly recommends!
The GF garlic cheese bread is amazing, and the pasta is truly one of the best I’ve had! I had check three times with our server to ensure it was actually GF… it was that good! The pasta was big rigatoni noodles and the texture was amazing!

We were on vacation, and I saw this place listed on this app. I called to order take out, and the woman who answered the phone was extremely helpful. I ended up ordering spaghetti with meat sauce, and she double checked with the kitchen to make sure there was nothing in the sauce that contained gluten. It tasted wonderful, and I had absolutely no gluten reaction.

Following the recommendation of do many on this site, I visited Red Gravy during my visit to Colorado Springs. The garlic cheese bread was delicious, and has a red dipping sauce that I think is the tomato bisque. Next came spinach salad with goat cheese, nuts, strawberries, and blueberries in a raspberry vinaigrette. THEN we had a gf pizza that was super and did not have a pre-fab crust.

Believe everything you read about the garlic bread. I’d go ahead and say it’s life changing. I’m just visiting but if I lived here, I’d be at Red Gravy daily for the garlic bread! The pizza was good enough… but the garlic bread, to die for.

Great options! So many gluten free pasta options as well as pizza options. However the portions are quite large which makes for good leftovers! Staff was knowledgeable and kind. Pizza was good but there was no ranch. The pasta was flavorful and contained nice gluten free noodles. Overall, I loved eating here and I would definitely recommend!

Most importantly, I didn’t feel sick after eating the garlic bread or the pasta. The gf garlic bread was amazing! The gf pasta was low quality. Way too expensive for just okay food. The server said that she couldn’t guarantee the safety of the food but would cook the breadsticks in the designated gf oven.

We got the pizza and it was gluten-free. They also offer gluten-free pasta with the exception of some dishes such as stuffed ravioli.
My three star rating is due only to the fact that the pizza was just OK for the price. I don’t mind paying more for exceptional food, but the food was not exceptional though the price was. We paid $50 for two GF personal pizzas for my wife and I, and a kids size butter noodles for my daughter. That seems quite high for pizza that was no better than a gluten-free Freschetta pizza from the grocery store. I’d also add that they use Provel cheese. It’s a processed cheese that’s popular in St. Louis recipes from what I read. I didn’t protectly care for it nor did my wife but some may like it. My rating has more to do , again, with the price than the cheese but thought someone may want to know about that.

Edit (I got sick) “I read the other reviews and saw garlic cheese bread, i asked the waitress for that (it didn’t mention they could do it on the menu) but she said yes! Cheese bread dipped in creamy tomato soup. I truly wish I would have ordered 2. It may be the best gluten free thing I’ve eaten”

What a great find! Everyone enjoyed their food— gluten free and non gluten free. The cheese bread was so great it made you think it wasn’t gluten free. The two gluten free-ers got pasta dishes and we were stuffed by the end! I even told them I couldn’t have dairy and they changed things accordingly. You can tell the chef really cares. We somehow made it into the live music room (the blue room/high tops) which made the night even more fun. Neither of us got sick so I’d call it a win!

The service was great and they seemed knowledgeable about celiac. However, the only thing worth ordering is the garlic cheesy bread glutenfree. The rest of the meal wasn’t worth the price! The quality of the ingredients was subpar, and the pizza was burned on the bottom.

I had the lobster risotto which was good, lots of lobster in it. I was a bit gurgly afterward but I don't think it was gluten related. The waitress double checked with the cooking staff that it was gluten free before I ordered. They offer gluten free pasta and pizza as well.

Amazing food and plenty of Gluten Free options. I have to find out where they get their GF pasta!!
Yes
This place is amazing! The food was excellent, starting out with GF bread and oil! I felt “ safe” and totally enjoyed the food and dining experience. The waitress was so knowledgeable about Celiac Disease and told me about all the choices that could be made gluten free. Their GF pasta was so good! We were there for Restaurant Week and were so glad we chose it. Bread, salad, tasty pasta dish and dessert all made for a great meal. We’ll be back!
Yes
Their pizza is the best gluten free pizza I have ever had, however, I got glutenized by cross contamination (or ingredients, not sure). To be fair though I just ordered gluten free and didn't stress not Cross contaminating. I was disappointed when she boxed up our pizzas and came back with hub's gluten and my gluten-free pizza in the same box. I will try this place one more time and stress to switch gloves and use clean pizza cutter and see if that helps. I'll also ask to box my leftovers myself. Can't wait to try some of their desserts, but won't eat here on a week night again. Tomorrow is going to suck at work (gluten triggers my migraines).
No
Pizza looked good, but Nima tested positive for gluten. I ordered the Fig & Pig. Chef was informed beforehand that I have celiac so cross contamination was an issue --and even substituted out the gorgonzola cheese after it was found to be processed in a facility shared with wheat.
No
I believe they make ask their own bread, pasta, and pizza crust!
My new place for my favorite pizza!! Amazing!
If my husband and I were both rating this restaurant we would give it vastly different reviews.
We went with a party of 8, my family with more than half of us being gluten free.
Awesome building, decor, and vibe. Although right inside the front door, it smelled like a cat's litter box, full blown stinky. Maybe a diffuser there would help with some essential oil to set the mood.
My husband ordered the special of the day, Spaghetti and Meatballs. (Not Gluten Free)
And I ordered the Linguine Tutto Mare without the tomatoes, with Gluten Free Pasta.
I also ordered a glass of a red Zin. My husband ordered the seasonal bear. Both were wonderful.
IT WAS THE BEST MEAL OF MY LIFE. No joke. So good that I felt like I had to close my eyes to eat it, just like you do when you kiss the person you love. It was THAT good!
I wish I caught the name of our server, he was kind, charismatic and super upbeat. He knew the menu well and what we needed to order to stay gluten free.
I think initially my husband liked his meal, but he spent the whole night nauseous. He figured the meatballs were made in the morning and weren't that great by night time.
But who knows.
So we had vastly different experiences. But this place was the official site of the best meal of my life. So I had to rate it five stars. Maybe it's hit and miss. But they had tons of gluten free options and really amazing sounding dishes. Give it a try. You might go home and be nauseous OR have the best meal of your life. Which I think is worth going for.
they brought out gluten free bread and a separate olive oil bowl for dipping, servers seem very knowledgeable on the topic, the gluten free pasta is homemade! There is a good amount of sauce options, I have yet to experience the pizza.
Wonderful gluten free option! Warm gluten free bread on the table with my own olive oil to avoid cross contamination. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the cleanliness of their kitchen and how they avoid cross contamination. I ordered the pasta carbonara and it was delicious!!!! I would highly recommend for a nice restaurant downtown.
Yes
warm gf bread and olive oil with garlic and rosemary was yummy. I was disappointed because when I looked at their menu on line I thought I would be able to have a meatball sandwich as there were only 2 sandwich options and said gf bread was available, however that was not the case so I guess only the grilled cheese is gf sandwich option? I instead had a margherita pizza which was decent. Had whole tomatoes on it which made it a little soggy.
Gluten free bread at the table with warm olive oil and roasted garlic, pasta, etc. yummy!
