Great spot to grab some delicious, Mexican inspired food. Dedicated GF, so it’s safe for celiacs. I had a yummy mocktail, the “Dove”, and crunchy black bean enchiladas. They also have a bar in the front with a substantial tequila selection. This place is a must-try!

Gluten free empanadas… need I say more! My son had street tacos (2 different flavors) and both were great. Great place if you’re not a big meat eater like myself. It’s small but a gem!

“The food menu is naturally gluten free, but we suggest avoiding the Flan as it is prepared at an off-site facility. The restaurant is not “dedicated” or 100% gluten free, but the food ingredients just so happen to be naturally gluten free. Thus, we cannot speak beyond the parameters of our own scratch kitchen. We understand how freeing it must be for folks who suffer from gluten intolerance to be able to freely order from a restaurant, but we still have to communicate with folks about their restrictions just in case! In the meantime, if there are ever any specific allergies or dietary questions in the future, our team can be reached at [email protected] for the most accurate answers.”
WOW this place is incredible! I stayed in the Pittsburgh suburbs for a week with my partner’s family, and navigating a shared kitchen in their home, it was a struggle to eat complete meals. So I came to this place hungry, and the portions for the price were absolutely incredible (though I am from NYC, so I’m used to much worse 😅). Everything was so insanely delicious and not only some of the best GF food I’ve had, but some of the best Mexican I’ve had. I got a quesadilla and the tortilla did not fall apart like so many GF tortillas do, and the guacamole was incredible. I also got the queso, which had mushrooms in it — something I’ve never had in queso before but now realize is the perfect addition to queso. The rich flavors work so well together! The tortilla chips for dipping (which, each chip was an entire half of a tortilla 😂) were fried to perfection. Now that I’m back in NYC with abundant GF options, I’m craving this place more than anything. I can’t wait to go back!

The best. Everything is GF and delicious. I’ve eaten here countless times and never gotten sick

their website doesn’t say much about being gf, so I trusted period reviewers from just a week ago. I had the tres apertivos (nacho chips with guac, salsa, and queso) - good, but not sure it was worth the price. my guests had the vegan chorizo tacos and they liked them. also - no reaction, so might be worth the money for that? :)

Waitress said everything was gluten free. Everything I ordered was AMAZING! I am a super sensitive celiac and I did not get sick. I will go again.

Delicious food and drinks. I got the quesadilla with chicken tinga. My mom got two tacos and we shared a side of chips and salsa. My mom got a margarita and said it was one of the best she’s had. I’m celiac and didn’t have a reaction. My mom called ahead to make a reservation (recommend making a reservation because there is limited seating) and was assured that the restaurant is dedicated gluten free except for the flan which they outsource. Our waitress was highly attentive. I recommend eating here!

Wonderful option for gluten free- celiac can eat here and feel safe. The only item they recommended to avoid was the flan because it is outsourced. Servers/staff a great and knowledgeable.

Nov 5, 2023- Ate another fantastic meal. Please see my prior review below this entry. I had the pollo asodo tacos and all of the other sides/appetizers mentioned below. I'll post a picture of their updated menu as well. Great place!
Oct 7, 2022- Ate a late dinner at this place. Someone had recommended it on the 'GF Pittsburgh' Facebook page. The place is small so I would recommend that you make a reservation. THIS IS A DEDICATED GF FACILITY. Everything on the menu is safe for someone with severe Celiac disease. I did not get sick eating at this establishment. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious, authentic Mexican not some American-ized version. My wife and I ordered several things and split food like we did before I was diagnosed with Celiac. That alone made it a wonderful dinner. First, we ordered a guacamole plate and tres salsas. This was followed by an order of esquites (corn) and a plate of mixed salad greens. Those items alone would have made a great meal for two, but we ordered tacos next. I ordered the carne asada tacos and she ordered the beef birria tacos. Don't forget to try the casa picante hot sauce. Since everything was so delicious, I ordered shrimp tacos to go. That will be my lunch tomorrow. I posted pics of the menu and some of the dishes to go with this posting.

This place is dedicated gluten free! The only item that they put source is the flan. And that was recommended to me to stay away from because they couldn’t guarantee it’s gf. Otherwise, the chips are homemade and nothing else is in the fryer that has gluten. I did not get sick!!!!!!! I could choose from the entire menu and it was delicious! I would def go here again!!!

Delicious, dedicated gluten free, and amazing atmosphere! Definitely call in a reservation though, this place is often very busy (for good reason)! And waits can be up to an hour or longer depending on size of the group.

This place was great! Loved the ambience and the dietary accomodations 🙂 I am dairy free and gluten free and the waitress did explain that most of the menu can be modified to remove cheese or cream toppings accordingly. Marinades (in general) are gf/df. I got the mixed green salad and the ahi tuna tacos, with the sparking lavender lemonade. I wish I came with a group so I could taste more of the menu, the restaurant smelled so good!

The food is absolutely delicious. All menu is made with naturally GF ingredients- there are just two items (chips and flan) that are not certified GF and brought in from outside manufacturers but still have GF ingredients. So the risk seems incredibly low and you can just avoid those items and anything fried with the chips if you would feel more comfortable. Great experience and know we will be back soon!

The food was awesome. I took my daughter (celiac) here while we we were visiting Pitt on our college tour. Everything on the menu except one dessert was GF! Margaritas were excellent. Staff was great. Would definitely go back next time we are in P-burgh

We are in Pittsburgh visiting colleges with my two teenage kids, both with celiac and additional allergies. We felt very safe in terms of gluten since everything is GF, but they were really good about managing our kids egg, nut, and shellfish allergies. Our server double checked things to be sure (there was only egg in one aioli sauce, and only almond in one other sauce). We enjoyed our food and had no issues. Chips, guac and queso were all excellent! Brussel sprouts were also great! Our favorite tacos were the mahi mahi ones, but our group also enjoyed the chicken ones as well. Would definitely go back when we visit Pitt again!

The entire menu is gluten free - this is amazing to be able to order anything on the menu for a change. I've tried nearly all of their menu and my favorites are the Mahi Mahi tacos and the beef birria. Overall great safe spot to eat and they have a nice outdoor patio.

Mahi Mahi tacos (breaded with rice flour!) So good! We also had the beef birriatacos, amazing!! Everything on the menu is gluten free!!! We were not crazy about the queso, next time we are skipping the dip and going straight for tacos!!

My husband and I tried out Round Corner Catina in Lawrenceville last weekend. It’s great they have a 100% GF menu however our food wasn’t that great 😓 We got chips and queso for an appetizer. The chips were delicious but the queso had no flavor and the mushrooms were out of place. I had the pollo asado tacos and my husband had the carne asada. The meat in his tacos tasted like rubber and mine had too much sauce which made the tortilla fall apart. Additionally our service was very mediocre and we waited awhile for our check. I‘m not hard to please with food (lol) but this sadly wasn’t a great experience.

They got a new chef and menu! All food is gluten free and based off native flavors which is pretty corn based. I enjoyed a bunch of the vegetarian options.

Round Corner’s entire new menu is gluten free, as of May 2021. I will say that I think there are significantly better options for tacos in the city, and it’s pretty overpriced, but it did make me really liberated to be able to order anything on the menu! My low review is totally based on the food itself, not the experience of their knowledge of gluten intolerances!
