Beautiful setting and very nice staff. Menu is marked but not clear on modifications, thus one less star. No dedicated flyer so plantains, tortilla chips, and taco shells are out (veggie sticks and lettuce wraps available.) I’m also DF and sweet potatoes are made with butter. I did get roasted artichoke with no butter or sauce (delicious) and ribs with roasted asparagus which were both fantastic. Well worth coming for the ambiance and ribs...and also rum is totally GF/DF. :-)

This place does have things marked on the menu as GF, but many of the foods are not celiac safe. For example their French fries and the plantains are not made in a dedicated fryer. When I asked the waitress about this she was caring and attentive but said the oil gets so hot that the gluten goes away in the fryer - this is not true and doesn’t make sense. I would definitely make sure you inform that you have celiac and ask lots of questions.

Great awareness of GF needs of Celiacs, even by the waiters, and lots of options on the menu. It is unfortunate that some things marked GF on their menu are not actually suitable for Celiacs, e.g. the fries, as they are not cooked separately from other foods. That led to a big upset with my son, who really wanted to eat fries with his dinner.

First Time trying after celiac diagnosis. At there last night during resturant week. Opted to choose off the main menu. The waitress Alexis was knowledgable about gluten free safe foods.she asked the chef about foods if she was unsure about.soy not GF, so a few meals avoided. Had starter of artichokes with out dipping sauce, jerk chicken with mango salsa, substituted coconut risotto( chicken broth not GF)for sauteed spinach, side of plantains. I was very pleased with the waitress service and the resturant providing some GF options. All the food was delicious. I'm happy to return.I would like if they could increase the GF options by choosing a few different ingredients, as mentioned. They still get a 5 star rating.

this is an ok place for non-celiacs, if you have the patience to wait to be seated ( it gets very crowded). however, despite the fact that the menu marks a number of items gf, they are not actually gf!! they are maybe 90% gf, making it completely unsuitable for celiacs. it is pretty unbelievable that this place is listed in the app. it should not be.

Brought my daughter there tonight. She is gluten sensitive. They gave us a gf menu as soon as we waked in but most of the option were either spicy or not fit the palate for a 5yo. The staff was very helpful. They said we could choose an option off the kids menu and they would make it gluten free. Instead of chicken fingers, she had healthy chicken strips that were seasoned with salt and pepper and unbreaded. And her side was sweet potatoes that were chunked. All very good! Highly recommend.

I'm not confident that this restaurant should be listed on this fantastic ap. My boyfriend and I use Gluten Free Find Me regularly and are always happy with the recommendations. That is, until today. Not only do you have gf items on your menu denoted, it also asked to ask your server which items can also me made gluten free. Unfortunately, your waiter either was extremely ignorant or doesn't care. He told me the menu was gf, as long as you don't have celiacs. We drove an additional 20 minutes out of our way(40 round trip) so I could order worry free and eat safely.

Don't get me wrong the view is outstanding and the place seems like a lot of fun. Please take the time to educate your servers if you're going to provide a gf menu. If you're going to list your coconut risotto on your gf menu then have a gf version, don't substitute it with a vegetable (butter, dairy, risotto and nuts are not gluten). Putting a taco in a lettuce leaf doesn't translate into gf options.

I live in East Quogue and love Rumba!! I go practically once. Week because I know that j can get an awesome gluten free meal. My favorite is the grilled artichoke done gluten free- they just use olive oil instead of the other oil they use and no sauce. I love their plantains and jerk chicken tacos. Yummm
