Went here twice during our week at Disney and each time the employees were very kind and patient. Both times got vanilla and the lavender honey in a cup which they scooped from the back. Didn’t get sick either time and the ice cream is delicious

They were super accommodating for my daughter and we’re careful to explain the choices for celiac (4 of approx 12 flavours). They got her icecream from unopened containers with a clean scoop to ensure there was no cross contamination. She felt super happy to have this safe treat, and bonus on holiday when there’s very few choices safe for her. Very Highly recommend

I echo everyone’s comments, in fact, I was excited to come here after reading the reviews here. I will also say that my daughter is now dairy free, along with gluten free & they had 4 different vegan flavors for her to choose from & we sampled them all & they were great!

I had such a good experience here!! The staff washed hands, used clean scoops, and opened new pints for me to sample ice cream with, and then to fill my cup of ice cream. Super knowledgeable about GF (including cross contamination) and the ice cream was delicious!

Staff was more than willing to open fresh flavors/use a clean scoop for my daughter and I. The ice cream flavors are funky and delicious. We had no problems at all!

The best vegan ice cream I’ve ever had. The mint chip was so creamy and decadent that it was impossible to tell the difference between the non vegan ice cream.

You have the option to get your scoops in a bowl and watch them prepare all of the orders so I knew there wasn’t any cross contamination with the waffle cones or ice cream containing gluten.

Salt and Straw was AMAZING!!! I went in on Saturday with a group and ordered last. The server was aware that I was unable to eat gluten, so he went in the back grabbed a new scoop, opened a new pint of LAVENDER HONEY ice cream which was incredible and had no problems at all, everyone enjoyed!!

This is in the Downtown Disney location. The website shows all their flavors and which have gluten. The first question the server asked was any allergies. They got my ice cream using a cleaned scoop from cartons still in the freezer to eliminate the risk of cross contamination. Tasted great.

Salt and Straw was great! They asked if we had any allergies upon walking in and then listed flavors I could have. After choosing, they asked if cross-contamination was an issue and when I said yes, they washed hands, cleaned gloves, grabbed a new pint and scooped from that with a new clean scoop. Felt super safe and was delicious!

My experience was amazing! I have to be dairy free, soy free as well as celiac. They don't have the GF flavors listed, but I asked and they had a list of GF flavors. The server washed her hands, changed her gloves and got a new cartoon and scope to scope from. They don't have GF cones, but the ice cream was so delicious, it didn't matter. Their vegan ice creams are a coconut base. Enjoyed and didn't get sick!!!!

Super cute place with a lot of options. The only gluten free option was out therefore I went out of the store empty-handed. The person helping me seem very knowledgeable willing to go in the back to get a scoop with awareness of allergies.

Vegan items were marked on menu, but not GF. Employees didn't seem 100% educated on GF needs, but they had a list of GF options. Best to ask them to check the list twice to be safe. Not cheap, but the flavors are unique and the quality is high.

I’ve had good experiences here and the scoopers have always been willing to scoop from a fresh tub for me but there’s a lot of staff so no guarantee. The only downside is a lot of the flavors are not gluten free.

If you alert them you have an allergy/intolerance they pull a pint from the freezer, microwave it a smidge, and use a new scoop to make your ice cream! Really appreciated them doing that even if it was a long line out the door. They can pull up an allergen menu to confirm the flavor is safe too. Only like 3-4 dairy free options if that matters.
