I was hoping this would be safe but it is not. I’ve been here twice. I told the manager when I arrived that I had celiac disease and they assured me I would be fine. It was clear both times that that’s where the communication ended. First time they brought my salad out with croutons. Second time I ordered the gluten free French onion soup and was half way through when I found the bread in it. The waitress had put it in regular not gluten free. They do not take celiac disease seriously and do not educate staff about gluten free menu.

My celiac partner and I had such an atrocious experience here. It was just so insanely bad it's unreal. This is one of the worst restaurant visits we've had in many years, and we didn't get glutened. Here's why. We stopped here because we were on the way to an event, and saw this place had good reviews. We were served our drinks and my coke was definitely watered down. It was even gradient in color. Fine. We ordered and our food came relatively quickly. I ordered the salmon dish. I took a first bite of the vegetables and they tasted fine. I took a second and I tasted pure vinegar. I didn't touch the vegetables after that. My fish was discolored and bland. I ordered a buttered potato and I was given butter containers. My partners steak dish was a different story. That one was just inpalatable. The steak was definitely microwaved, and weirdly seemed boiled. It was incredibly soggy and lukewarm, impossible to chew, but came on a very hot plate. We paid $32 dollars for this dish. We would have wanted something that was NOT microwaved. I need not to say that the sides were bad too. I then ordered another coke and that one tasted different... more coke- like and not as watered down, but still at a softer gradient. We told our waitress about the steak, and asked her if it was microwaved. She said she would check for us, and was gone for 25 minutes. And mind you, we were trying to make it to an event, so we would try to flag people and they just avoided our table. The waitress came and said the steak was not microwaved (BS!) and she was allowing us a free dessert to make up for it. This was great and all, but I would have preferred our money back for something we literally could not stomach ourselves to finish. We accepted machine and they were definitely expired. Only two of them had the mochi consistency, and most were discolored and freezer burned. We ended up not finishing those either. We took a few bites and spat them out. Overall, we had a horrible experience here, did not get glutened, but still spent the rest of the day with stomach aches and a lost appetite.

Our waitress was also GF. I had the GF chicken breast with baked potato and veggies. It was very good.

GF menu had typical options like salads and fish plates with rice and veggies. My Cobb salad was fine, nothing too exciting, but overall ok. We enjoyed sitting in the sunshine on the deck. No dedicated fryer.

Great place to go! Gluten free menu has quite a few selections and sushi is fresh and delicious! Server even remembered gluten free soy sauce!

Gluten Free Menu available upon request. Also, sushi is labeled GF. Overall good experience for celiacs and did not get sick. Only minus would be the service

This place was great. We asked for the gluten free menu, and my kids got a sushi roll and chicken. My toddler with Celiac loved it and the rest of our food was great too!

Difficult to say confidently this restaurant is Celiac safe due to negative Nima test (meaning the test showed gluten found) for my steak, baked potato, and steamed veggies. However the staff was really great at working with me and let me choose an alternate entree. I then received the gluten-free cheese lasagna and it Nima tested with a smile. Very very heavy dish but it was safe and very cheesy with high quality cheese and what tasted like a homemade marinara sauce. 10/10 on service! Cocktails were nice and strong. Final thoughts-Celiac safe with a Nima!
Wow! Great food. I had the gluten free cheese lasagna and it was fabulous. What a wonderful place to meet with friends and family.
The food was delicious, and the service was awesome! There’s a separate gluten free menu with lots of options. I’m a sensitive celiac and didn’t get sick. Fun environment too!

Sensitive celiac here. This place is a gem! I had the grilled chicken entrée. The food was seriously delicious and I didn't get sick. Also didn't experience any stress trying to order -- the waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. She even checked on the pickles for me -- which were homemade and delicious (and safe). Definitely coming back for more, thanks Sarah Street Grill staff!

Great options on the gluten free menu! Will definitely return!

Gluten-free menu, but an off night. Our waitress was new and not fully up to speed on gluten-safe foods. My son's burger was undercooked and my daughter's chicken was dry. I had the feeling they normally do better, and I would give them another chance. Bar with live music downstairs, family dining in a warm atmosphere upstairs.

Was recommended by Holiday Inn staff and this App. Checked it out and very gluten free friendly. I had the gluten free lasagna made with rice pasta and marinara sauce. It was cooked, well pasta was not mushy, it was very good. .

Decent food overall good experience.

I had the gluten free cheese lasagna and it was delicious. I wish there were more gluten free options to choose from, but the lasagna was great.

Good food, friendly service. The only reason for 3 star rating is that it is more of a bar than a restaurant. I would not consider it family friendly unless you eat outside on the upstairs patio. Also they don't have free refills on tea or fountain drinks which was unexpected. Our server was nice enough to let it slide for us since we didn't know.

Had vegan GF pasta, salad & pear cider. Delicious & safe. Fun atmosphere, great service.

I heard Sarah Street had a good GF menu. My husband and I visited and will return. The GF lasagna was tasty. A nice serving size and reasonably priced. The staff is aways friendly.

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, however I had a GF pasta dish and was instantly sick. I called the next day to speak with the manager and just wanted to inform her about cross contamination. She got very defensive instead of listening. I did have other good experiences here but am definitely cautious about ordering pasta again!
was able to have chicken alfredo out in the first time in forever. was delicious only complaint is broccoli was very undercooked.
amazing. French onion soup! vegetable lasagna is awesome. many other choices.
