I ordered the turkey burger with a GF bun. Bun looked too realistic but some restaurants have excellent GF buns so I ate about half of it before realizing something was wrong and asking the server. She had put in my order as having a GF bun however there was a mix-up in the kitchen, and I was served a real bun. She was very apologetic, dropped the charge for the GF bun, gave me a free new GF bun, and discounted the meal. I wanted to draw attention to the fact that she was very kind despite it not being her fault.

Food was high quality, service was great and the staff was very knowledgeable. I had the Goat Blueberry Salad and the roasted potatoes, both of which I would highly recommend.

So... traveling from out of state, and specifically sought this place out in search of a good burger based on other reviews here. Discussed GF options in Ciders and Beer with bar tender, ordered the burger with GF bun. It came out, looked good, tasted good ( too good). Commented to the bar tender that this was the best gluten free bun I had tasted and queried her if she was certain it was. She hurried back from the kitchen, It was not. I should have been more cautious, the bun was toasted which made it resemble a GF bun. I made it back to the hotel before becoming sick.
They did bring out a correct burger, and it was good, wish they had a GF marker of some sort. Also, still charged me for the burger.

Was hesitant at first as it’s a big and busy place with lots of beer. I was thrilled to find a very knowledgeable staff and large gf menu. I even had lobster bisque! I’d go here again and I’m extremely careful. It had a beautiful deck overlooking the river, reasonable prices and my food was safe and delicious. My waiter was great and I felt fairly safe. That being said, I never feel safe unless I’m in my own kitchen or eating in a dedicated gf facility. I’d go here again and am happy to see there are a number of these restaurants in the New England area.

GFA (available) marked items on regular menu. Precautions noted by server on kitchen ticket. Food delivered and announced “gluten free.” I skipped the sweet potato bean burger because it was made with oats & I didn’t want to take any chances. Also the option for a side was a small bag chips (not fries, shared fryer), which I did not eat because the bag was not labeled gluten free. My companions meals were ~meh, not worthy of 4 stars either. Veggie nachos consisted of raw hot jalapeños and olives, cheese not fully melted. Vegan asked for no aoili which was still delivered on the side thankfully). I (celiac) did not feel ill afterwards, so that’s almost an automatic 3 stars imo!

Both Celiac people in my party had no issues. Our server was new and was conscientious about wanting to make sure we were okay. She did not know answers to many of our questions so it took a while to place an order. One downside to this restaurant is that the kids menu does not mark what is GF. And even with checking most items are not available GF so my kiddo had to order from the adult menu.

Food was great and dessert exceptional. Great service too.
They have a separate GF menu and GF buns. My meal wasn't the best. They also don't have a separate fryer unfortunately but it's a decent option.

Clam chowder was delicious! And it was so nice to find a place that offers a safe GF lobster roll
Yes
Gf lobster roll and clam chowder were delicious as was the coleslaw and cider I had. We sat on the deck with a lovely view of the river. Very accommodating waitstaff. It was very exciting to be able to eat a proper lobster roll.

one of the best GF meals I've had in Maine. I ordered a turkey burger with all the toppings and side of veggies. they toasted the Udis bun, so it tasted good. My husband had steak and artichoke salad, also on the GFmenu and it was awesome. I wish I had an opportunity to try their lobster roll, and calamari starter. They also have gfree dessert. I had flour less chocolate cake with raspberry topping, scrumptious!

Great place! The hostess as well as server was very knowledgeable about GF options. They had a concert menu the night I was there so the server went over everything on the menu and told me what I could have. when I ordered my burger she said "sorry. you can't have fries because we don't have a separate fryer. You will have to have the coleslaw. It was great knowing the server was looking out for me!

Celiac safe with vegan options. This is my go to place in Bangor!
Great food. Server knowledgable with gf! Large gf menu
Great burgers!! Did not get sick!!
Very good gluten free food. Apps, dinners and sometimes they have Creme brûlée. Nice atmosphere. Worth a trip.

Excellent service and food! Highly recommend. Had a burger. Was on a Udis bun. Potato chips. Many options.

They have a separate GF menu. The server was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Very limited GF options and note the French fries have a dedicated fryer but the oil is “filtered” and reused so likely cross contamination will occur if you have sensitive celiac. So I would caution if you order anything fried even if claimed to be GF. The beer is currently only gluten removed so again not GF. Food was OK and place is fun. Overall limited but decent options. I had the turkey burger but had to opt for mashed potatoes instead of fries.

I was a little worried coming, seeing the reviews, but it was okay and I felt fine eating it- and I am extremely sensitive. Waitress was knowledgeable, BUT you need to ask the specific questions she was not very forthcoming with talking about allergies, even though she asked when we sat down if anyone had one. I just got clam chowder since it was gf in general and there were not separate gluten and non gluten versions

Gluten free beer (Daura DAMM) is available (although not shown on menu) . And so many “gluten free available” options! Server confirmed there’s a separate frialator for GF items, so I was able to have French fries!

I’ve had the Greek salad with chicken a few times this summer and did not get sick. Knowing they aren’t the most careful I stick with things that are typically naturally gf, ie salad. The patio by the river is really nice.

They have GF items clearly marked on the menu which was nice. Server seemed knowledgeable, but my salad came out with croutons on it and my moms lobster roll came out on a regular bun. We questioned both right away and the server immediately corrected it and apologized. She said there was a new chef that had just started.
