I’ve had the Greek salad with chicken a few times this summer and did not get sick. Knowing they aren’t the most careful I stick with things that are typically naturally gf, ie salad. The patio by the river is really nice.

I was looking for somewhere close by to take a loved one to eat following a procedure and found this place. I was assured the clam chowder was gluten free after I let my waitress know I was a celiac so I just ordered that and a side salad. I have been sick ever since I left. I do not believe this is a safe establishment for anyone with celiac disease.

Had an amazing experience here! Ordered the Spinach Dip with corn tortilla chips (instead of the pita bread) as an appetizer. Then had the cheesesteak on the GF bun with potato chips. FYI fryer is cross-contaminated, which they did a very good job pointing out/ stating on the menu.

I have eaten here and at other Sea Dog restaurants. Food is always good and have not experienced an issue. Menu is, however, more pricey than you would expect for what you get.
They have a gluten free menu; however, they appear to have some problems following it. I went here with some family last weekend. I ordered from the gluten free menu and explained that I have celiac. Our appetizer, mussels, came out with the bread on top. We pointed out the error, so they left that one and brought out a second dish of mussels on the house. Next, my chicken sandwich came out with a bun that looked just like my husband's non-gf bun. I asked them if it was gluten free and they said, oops no not that one. They took it away to make another. However, they returned less than 5 minutes later with a new chicken sandwich. I am skeptical that it was new, as I have been having severe glutening symptoms for days. I also was somewhat concerned that that the new bun was not GF (though it was definitely different than the first bun I got). It was delicious, soft, chewy, and not crumbly - all not usually characteristics of GF buns. At this point, I am not sure if it was the bun or the sandwich cross contamination, but either way - this restaurant is not safe for celiacs.

Very limited GF options and note the French fries have a dedicated fryer but the oil is “filtered” and reused so likely cross contamination will occur if you have sensitive celiac. So I would caution if you order anything fried even if claimed to be GF. The beer is currently only gluten removed so again not GF. Food was OK and place is fun. Overall limited but decent options. I had the turkey burger but had to opt for mashed potatoes instead of fries.

I was a little worried coming, seeing the reviews, but it was okay and I felt fine eating it- and I am extremely sensitive. Waitress was knowledgeable, BUT you need to ask the specific questions she was not very forthcoming with talking about allergies, even though she asked when we sat down if anyone had one. I just got clam chowder since it was gf in general and there were not separate gluten and non gluten versions

Gluten free beer (Daura DAMM) is available (although not shown on menu) . And so many “gluten free available” options! Server confirmed there’s a separate frialator for GF items, so I was able to have French fries!

They have GF items clearly marked on the menu which was nice. Server seemed knowledgeable, but my salad came out with croutons on it and my moms lobster roll came out on a regular bun. We questioned both right away and the server immediately corrected it and apologized. She said there was a new chef that had just started.
