They have GF items clearly marked on the menu which was nice. Server seemed knowledgeable, but my salad came out with croutons on it and my moms lobster roll came out on a regular bun. We questioned both right away and the server immediately corrected it and apologized. She said there was a new chef that had just started.

very good, menu was marked with entrees that were able to be made GF. i got a burger with the gluten free bun. i ordered the sweet potato fries and was told that they do not use a separate fryer. At least they let me know! overall does not seem celiac-safe, so beware.

Ordered lobster roll GF and Dairy Free. Came out on a non GF roll. Only way I knew is b/c the server told me GF buns were like hamburger buns. When I took it back, the cook said that’s not right and that they have both, normal shaped rolls and hamburger rolls, but for sure what they served me wasn’t GF. Saw the same thing in another review for this place. Fries are not in a dedicated fryer so didn’t order. Cole Slaw is good and they have a really good unfiltered cider. Not a bad place, but just be super careful.

The meal wasn’t brilliant but I didn’t get sick and was able to actually have a lobster roll because of the gluten free options. Even the hostess knew about celiac and cross contamination (as I’d taught) so I felt safe.

This place is my go to as a celiac. I’ve eaten here several times and the staff is very knowledgeable. I’ve never gotten sick after eating here. I would have rated five stars if it weren’t for one visit where they were very busy and I stressed to the waitress my serious allergy. I was brought out a regular steak and cheese instead of gluten free. I ate the pickle off the plate and was about to bite into the sandwhich (I would have already...had I not been distracted and with family I hadn’t seen in years from out of state). When I was just about to bite into it a waitress stopped me and apologized and brought out the correct one. Very close call.. I would have been deathly ill for weeks, still my favorite celiac friendly place so far. Try the GF muscles for an app (on season).

They have a gluten free choices well marked on their menu. The food was delicious & the atmosphere nice. Had a table overlooking a waterfall. Enjoyed the potato crusted Haddock dinner. Excellent food & good service.

Fine if you’re looking for generic, easy food. The service was good, but the food was ok. I got a salad with tuna and the tuna was sinewy and didn’t have much flavor.
Lots of gluten free items were offered on the menu. As an appetizer, I ordered the spinach artichoke dip, which was served with corn tortilla chips. It was delicious! For the meal, I ordered a lobster roll with a gluten free bun. My server knew which sides were gluten free, and listed the sides I was able and unable to eat. My meal was tasty, there were many options, and the server was knowledgeable. I would definitely eat here again!!
I had a late lunch here after a hike. The menu had many gf options and our server was knowledgable about cross contamination. I had a lobster roll with a gf bun and gf clam chowder that is thickened with potato. All of this was washed down with a Downeast cider. I highly recommend.

Husband and I went there for a late dinner, I had a delicious gluten-free burger and salad, very tasty and didn’t get sick!

Good menu options, didn't get sick! I always worry in restaurants in general, but I'd recommend this place to others!
I come here every summer and it’s the first stop on the way from the airport. I’ve never actually had anything other than the lobster roll but it’s perfect so no need to try anything else! So so wish they could do fries as it would go perfectly with the roll but other than that can’t complain at all!
Yes
Extensive gluten free menu with a wide variety of options!
Very limited GF options and note the French fries have a dedicated fryer but the oil is “filtered” and reused so likely cross contamination will occur if you have sensitive celiac. So I would caution if you order anything fried even if claimed to be GF. The beer is currently only gluten removed so again not GF. Food was OK and place is fun. Overall limited but decent options. I had the turkey burger but had to opt for mashed potatoes instead of fries.

I was a little worried coming, seeing the reviews, but it was okay and I felt fine eating it- and I am extremely sensitive. Waitress was knowledgeable, BUT you need to ask the specific questions she was not very forthcoming with talking about allergies, even though she asked when we sat down if anyone had one. I just got clam chowder since it was gf in general and there were not separate gluten and non gluten versions

Gluten free beer (Daura DAMM) is available (although not shown on menu) . And so many “gluten free available” options! Server confirmed there’s a separate frialator for GF items, so I was able to have French fries!

I’ve had the Greek salad with chicken a few times this summer and did not get sick. Knowing they aren’t the most careful I stick with things that are typically naturally gf, ie salad. The patio by the river is really nice.
