Very little for vegetarian GF.
Just ate here. My food was ok....didn't realize that their gluten free menu also was very low calorie...delicious but when i asked for butter on my broccoli rabe the waitress had a fit. ????
The food is excellent! The chef is very accommodating for all your food sensitivities. It is pricey, but worth it if you have a lot of food sensitivities or allergies.
Sunday 6/5 I had a nice meal with my husband at Seasons 52 in Birmingham. We chose this restaurant specifically for it’s gluten sensitive menu, as I have celiac disease. Upon meeting our waitress I let her know that I have celiac disease (and explained what I couldn’t have), I already had the gluten sensitive menu in my hand.We ordered the Ahi Tuna Tartare. While ordering, I asked about the crisp that comes with it. The waitress told me that the crisp was gluten sensitive but that it was not gluten free. She said that nothing in the restaurant is gluten free. (I made the mistake of not pursuing this further, and will be instead asking questions to corporate to clarify this issue.) Since she stated that the crisp is not in-fact gluten free, I asked for the crisp on the side, so my husband could have it, but not potentially cross-contaminate me.The Ahi Tartare was great, love it.I also enjoyed the shrimp and grits (gluten sensitive menu also). When the check came, we were charged an upcharge for the gluten sensitive crisp, which I couldn’t even eat. The gluten sensitive menu has many options. I’m very happy to have it.My issue with this restaurant is the unsureness of the gluten free status of the food. Apparently, there is no gluten ingredients used. However, the waitress said there is no gluten free food. Which is it? As a celiac, I need to know if this restaurant is safe toeat at. I hope that corporate will respond to me and I’ll be able to update this review.
Miserable fail at this restaurant. They have a gluten sensitive menu and it is essentially parts of the regular menu and it tells you how to order it to be gluten free. For example: soup (order without the roll). I ordered pork loin without the au jus. Plate came with au jus all over it. Server from the kitchen had no idea if plate was gluten free. Waiter came over and took plate back to the kitchen. Apparently the chef felt bad that I couldn't have au jus and took it upon herself to make gluten free au jus unbeknownst to anyone else. The waiter wrote on the ticket NO au jus. No one was quite sure if I could eat it or not. I completely lost trust in their system and watched my husband eat his dinner instead. Manager came over and agreed that protocol was not followed and she was unclear why. Would not trust to order there again.
Went here for lunch a couple weeks ago and had a great experience. The waitress was so knowledgeable and when the server brought out the food they too confirmed that it was gluten free. I am so happy to have discovered this chain so I can visit it in other locations when traveling. Highly recommend!
Wonderful gluten free options. Knowledgeable staff and very accommodating. Best place I ate in Chicago!!!!
So thrilled to see they have gluten-free flatbread! Made from tapioca flour. Never thought I'd have flatbread again! Delicious! Entrée was wonderful as well - grilled scallops over risotto. Dessert - GF shot glass of yumminess. The waitress was very knowledgable and the kitchen manager visited our table. Everyone answered all my GF and cc questions! I can't wait to go back!
I have eaten at many locations and more than once. Food is delicious and I have never gotten sick.
Fantastic place for celiacs. They have a GF menu. They recently started offering GF flatbreads, which are delicious. The flatbread is from Deanna's gluten free. They also have a wide variety of salads and entrees. I eat here all the time and never get sick.
I've eaten here tons of times over the last two years and have NEVER had a problem, having celiac disease im careful about where I eat, but never have to worry about Seasons 52 here in boca. Food is always awesome, no worries. The ONLY tip is be sure you pay attention to what the menu says. Certain items are not to have a gravy or sauce when you order... it will tell you this on the GF menu. When you get the food, check it isn't on there. Twice it was on there, but the waitress caught it as it was delivered (seperate food runners....) so it never got to me. But, just an FYI. Needless to say they are ALWAYS awesome, their staff knows whats up, food is awesome. You will love it.
Their menu is gluten sensitive because they can't guarantee there will not be cross contamination in the kitchen. I asked questions to the waiter who was not knowledgeable of celiac disease or how the food was prepared in the kitchen. I feel that's poor training on the part of management. you can't offer a menu for different food allergies and know nothing about it as a waiter. there aren't many options on the gkuten sensitive menu. for this reasons they get a 3. I'd rate them a 4 otherwise on the friendliness of the staff, the atmosphere, and the taste of the food. important to note that I did NOT get sick from eating the food.
Food was excellent, service was marginal. Did not get glutened. For the prices we expected better service but sometimes you can't have everything.
I was pretty skeptical when I saw "cannoli - order without shell" on their dessert menu. It sounded like the type of place where you can order a burger wrapped in lettuce to get it gluten free. So I avoided going until I attended a bridal shower there...and was very pleasantly surprised. I was given my own gluten free flatbread and had to hold myself back from wolfing it down, it was that good. I wasn't able to have the sandwiches everyone else was having but they definitely took care of me. And when desserts came and they brought out the gf "cannoli without the shell" I realized all their desserts were in little glasses and the shell was more of a garnish than anything. It was really good and I learned not to judge a restaurant entirely by its menu. I can't quite give it a full five stars because I've gone back and this time ordered dessert to go. It looked like one of the "gf" cannoli things had had the shell removed (slight indent and a crumb) so it had to be changed out. I would recommend checking before eating/taking anything home. The others we ordered were all fresh and had no indents or crumbs. And most importantly, I did not get sick!
very good food! I'm extremely sensitive to gluten and cross contamination,as I have celiac disease, and I did not get sick! not a huge selection, but still decent. I got the cannoli (without the shell) for dessert and it was to die for. I'd go back for that alone!
I had the scallops with risotto which was tasty and had the desert (they brought deserts to the table) the one with marscopon had a cannoli stuck in it. The waiter said it was gluten free without the canoll-- I'm not sure if he just took it back and just took out the canoll and brought it back to me, but I was sick afterwards.,I'm guessing it was that dessert-- be cautious-- I wouldn't go back
They'll provide you their ever so limited GF menu, you'll be expressly clear in being GF, and yet they'll still bring a plate with gluten sauce poured all over it. I caught it after the first bite set in, asked server if the sauce was GF and she took the plate away looking horrified, but too late. Also despite the other reviews, there is no GF fryer here, and no bread / buns either. Don't recommend at all.
AHHHHMAZING! My husband and I always go here for special occasions because We know that I won't get sick! They take very big precautions for people with food allergies! The staff is very knowledgable about the whole menu! This is place has such a good atmosphere! Very romantic!
This is the 4th time I have gone to Seasons 52 Burlington ma / Chesnut hill ma . Tonight I was at Boca raton one . Even with a menu that changes buy season , very good variety of gluten-free appetizers entrées and dessert. $$$ price wise but well worth it . I love the sushi and any fish dish .
Restaurant provided me with a GF menu upon request, which had 4 appetizer options, 4 salad options, 6 entrees, 6 sides, and 2 deserts. Portions aren't big, so expect to order an entree plus a salad or appetizer. Prices aren't low, but food quality was good and server was eager to please.
Watch out for substitutions they make on the GF menu. Ordered salad and it stated gorgonzola cheese and they substituted blue cheese. It was buried underneath the spinach and when asked the waiter he had to ask the chef. Yep, didn't take long for the pain to take hold. Great wedding anniversary.
Always delicious, never a problem & great gf desert options.
Offered a separate menu for various restricted diets, which is great because I don't have to rely on my servers knowledge about GF options. The options were diverse, from apps to desserts, and all looked tasty. I was very pleased and would go again.
Great GF menu built seasonally. I really enjoyed they entire experience of this restaurant including outstanding customer service. (Summer selections) My meal: --Summer corn soup: light and fresh. --Organic spinach salad with goat cheese raspberries and pine nuts: well balanced. --Wood grilled pork tenderloin(with brocolini, mushrooms and polenta) pork was perfectly cooked! Very moist. Mushrooms were not slimy or earthy. The only down fall was the Polenta...it was very heavily seasoned with herbs yet tasted very 'flat' and I didn't waste much time or room on it. We will go back next time were on town!
