Wow! So happy to have found this little gem! Only wish we were closer to Charleston - but SLICE will definitely be on the must do list when we are in the area again. Owner- so knowledgeable (we walk in and ask if he has a gluten free crust and he’s immediately asking- celiac? Hashimotos?) personable& friendly, a former New Yorker so he knows his pizza! Crust was a REAL CRUST! And can be made with any of the toppings- except for the meatballs and the chicken). Wholeheartedly agree with an earlier poster who said one of the best they’ve had. Highly recommend.

Amazing! I’m pretty sensitive but had no reaction, they even have option for if your celiac or gluten free is preference, plus label toppings so you know what’s safe and what’s not. The pizza was awesome and flavorful. We did ricotta, sausage and spinach, so yummy.

The best gluten free pizza in Charleston, and in the top 5 that I've had anywhere. And it's just a tiny hole in the wall with maybe two tables far down Sam rittenburg. Crispy, chewy, greasy in a good way. Really nice people. I'm very sensitive and felt fine but there is definitely flour in the air, just fyi.

Hole-in-the-wall pizza dive with deep dish GF pizza. The make their own GF pizza crust and make their own mozzarella. They use the same oven for all their pizzas, use different pans for GF, different cutter etc. Friendly, soft spoken service. Said they sell about 80 GF pies a week. Only toppings not GF are meatball and the fried chicken. Felt comfortable here.

Amazing gluten free pizza. Was a little thicker than most gluten free pizzas but crust was light, sweet and fluffy. I had a mushroom and caramelized onion pizza. The onions were so sweet. They took all the necessary precautions to make sure I didn’t get sick. There is a very small seating area inside and a few picnic tables outside.

This is it — THE pizza. One of the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had. Know that it takes awhile to prepare (30-35 min) BUT it’s because they do such a thorough job protecting us from cross contamination. The wait is well worth it too. I ordered take out online and was reassured that when I selected the gf pizza, the site specifically asked if this was for celiac. When I picked up the pizza, I asked how they make the gf pizza. He explained that they parbake it separately on sheet trays. When it’s time to top the pizzas, they do that in the walk-I’m fridge where the dough is kept, to avoid all the flour floating around the kitchen. It’s baked on trays so it doesn’t touch the oven surface. They keep a dedicated gf slicer and peel in a paper bag under the counter that I saw him pull out to cut my pizza. I felt very safe.

That said, I thought the pizza was just ok. Needed more seasoning. The dough is very soft and fluffy.

Big fan! HUGE fan of this gluten free pizza. I come from the north and consider to be a pizza snob. However, look no further. This New York/New Jersey girl has found a new favorite. Awesome gf pizza! The owner was great and shared information with us. They are super careful with their protocols and take care in keeping gf customers safe. I highly recommend eating here! Just know that it is a small place and mainly just for carry out orders. They do have picnic tables outside and a few small tables inside. Definitely go there if you are in the area!

Such a cool small “hole in the wall” kind of place. Staff knew why we were there before we could tell them. Very chill vibe, with necessary precautions and knowledgeable approach. Pizza did not disappoint (both GF and non GF options. Never would’ve known about it without the GF app. Nice spot!

Love their homemade gf crust, a real treat when our typical gf pizza is a round thin crust. This was a rectangle raised crust, prepared impeccably with a crisp bottom and doughy middle. They took care to be sensitive to our celiac need for gf and to not cross contaminate, wearing gloves and cooking the gf pizza on its own pan. That said, they make regular wheat pizza also, so someone hypersensitive will need to be aware of this and make a decision in their own comfort zone. Really nice guys working there, took great care of us. Terrific pizza place, I highly recommend them.

I forgot that bread usually gets smaller and almost melts when you’re chewing it. That’s how good and real this gluten free crust was. Thick crust, but super light, almost like focaccia. Not dense at all, and preparation is taken for those with Celiac or a serious allergy.

So, was in the area for a cruise and came up the night before. Wanted a low-key night and wanted pizza (which is hard for Celiacs). Saw the reviews and it did not disappoint. Ordered on the website for pick-up (small dine-in area) and they had a mark for Celiac (rare on websites) to let them know. Drove about the 15 mins to the pick-up. (We were staying close to The Cital).l We got there a few minutes early and were told that it would be a couple of minutes till it was ready. The staff was very nice, with the main guy (don't remember his name) being super accommodating. After retrieving the pizza, determined that my AirBNB didn't have spices so went to add crushed red pepper and they guy mentioned that it wasn't safe and wanted to ensure there was no cross-contamination by handing me sterile spices. Super nice and unexpected. The pizza was soooooooooo good! The crust was phenomenal, which isn't the case often when going out to eat. Zero reaction and a must if you're Celiac and in Charleston. Highly recommend if you're wanting pizza for dinner!

The pizza was delicious and they have excellent procedures. I spoke to the owner and he assured me the utensils and toppings for the gluten free pizza were kept completely separate and then the pizza was cooked in the top oven to avoid cross-contact. (As a note, the meatballs and chicken are not gluten free). I almost always have hesitations about pizza places, but I had absolutely none after speaking to the owner. The pizza is a bakery style pizza (the dough is focaccia like) and was one of the best gf pizzas I've had.

This is a phenomenal pizza spot for both those with Gluten and Dairy allergies. I usually find it hard to eat out and accommodate both, but I was not worried here! It’s a small local pizza place. I spoke directly with the owner. They make their dough and their cheese in house and have dedicated prep space. Their gluten free pizza is a thick pan crust pizza and their vegan cheese tastes like real mozzarella. My gluten and cheese eating husband couldn’t tell the difference! absolutely wonderful! the tools used are separate and the pizza is cooked in a separate tray to prevent cross contamination. it serves 2-3 people. the owner is very friendly and knowledgeable about celiac - be prepared to have a nice conversation along with the great pizza!

First time leaving a review. As a celiac of 5 years I’ve had many gluten free pizzas. This place hands down has the best gluten free pizza I’ve had. I said I was gluten free, and the owner immediately asked if I had celiac or any other dietary restrictions. Best part is that the crust is thick!

The pizza was delicious!! The owner went to culinary school and makes the crust and cheese from scratch. It was super fluffy and crispy. They use separate utensils for the gluten free pizza to prevent cross contamination. They were very friendly. It’s a pretty small inside, so we ate at the picnic tables outside.

Slice Co. is a must for pizza! We have gluten and dairy allergies and Todd has perfected a GF/DF substitute that I would choose over any pizza I’ve ever had! The cheese is homemade- yes homemade! It is as good if not better than regular mozzarella! And the crust- there are no words! Go try it! You’ll be amazed!
