Great BBQ in a safe environment. I initially talked to Amber who was a manager and extremely knowledgeable. By the time we went in for dinner, it was a different manager and team. They were very comfortable with their GF options did all the right things - changed gloves, different utensils and bowls, subbed GF buns (Trader Joe's hamburger buns) and had a list of which sides were GF. They also did a pretty good job of navigating dairy free options for someone else in our group. Both GF and V sauces were clearly labelled. They also had a huge section of V and VG options - those were not all GF though. They don't put any gluten in their fryers, so that's all safe. We all ate here and no one got sick. It was delicious and we will be back!

The best BBQ in STL. Liz is fantastic and changed gloves and cutting surfaces and grabbed new meat from the back to avoid cross contamination. I love this place and highly recommend it to fellow celiacs

Loved it! They know their stuff. Changed gloves, cutting board, and knife. Dedicated fryer. All meats, several good sides, and several sauces are gf. They have signs saying what is gf. The best part - for meals that came with garlic bread they let us substitute an extra side!

Ate here - staff was very knowledgeable and changed their gloves. Lots of gf options. Generous portions and reasonable. Great porksteaks and the dried berry salad is excellent!!

I’ve had carry out orders from Smokee Mo’s on two recent occasions and both experiences were fantastic. One was a lunch order with my husband and one night I ordered for the whole family including my celiac daughter. I am obsessed with their pulled pork and brisket, and the baked beans were heaven. My husband is a rib guy and said they were very meaty and delicious. My daughters ate all of the meats and fries. I appreciate that we had options for ordering meats with sides or on their own. I truly appreciate that the BBQ sauce is gluten free and that they have a dedicated fryer. This place will definitely be on regular repeat for our family.

This is my new favorite BBQ restaurant! I was recently diagnosed and couldn't go back to my old place. Smokee Mo's BBQ is fantastic! I had the pulled pork and can't wait to try other offerings. Of course the meat is GF and also most of the sauces. They have posted a list of GF sides and have a dedicated fryer for fries. They also offer a GF bun which is better than most. One of the managers, Ben, waited on us and is knowledgeable about gluten in addition to being affable and engaging. Added bonus: you get to watch them prepare your meal so you know they are handling correctly. Ben not only put on fresh gloves but also switched out the bowl they weigh the meat with (which they maybe do all the time but I was impressed anyway). I had no issues after and highly recommend Smokee Mo's whether you are gluten intolerant or not!!

List specifically for gf sauces and gf sides. Meats are safe, and great! Had pulled pork with seasoned fries and potato salad. All but one of their bbq sauces are gf. Loved the Carolina sauce and sweet sauce! Great food and awesome staff! Very helpful with answering questions about the food. They also have a vegan menu.

Smokee Mo’s was always my favorite restaurant before I was diagnosed, and after being diagnosed I had to stop eating there. Recently they have added gluten free menu, with sauces, meat and sides. They do a great job of changing gloves, and you can see them prepare your food right in front of you. One of the few places that doesn’t bother me and is my favorite BBQ in St. Louis. Get the pulled pork and fries!!
