GF pancakes are fantastic! GF french toast is okay.. but i wouldnt wait an hour for it. cross contamination risk is huge .. they are just SO busy. if you are celiac or extremely sensitivr i wouldnt risk it.
Fantastic. Food is phenomenal, I have to resist the urge to come every weekend. Be prepared to wait though, this place is ultra popular with gluten and gluten free eaters alike :)
Awesome place! They are very careful and cook gluten free food in a desperate pan but they will tell you they cannot guarantee it as they don't have a separate kitchen. The GF pancakes and French toast were good. Would definitely go back.
Best gluten free pancakes of MY LIFE! The staff has to sign a confidentiality agreement to not give out the recipe that's how good they are. I thought I was eating gluten!
Sweet was as good as the savory breakfast! Amazing pancakes and French toast! Really impressed.
I had a pancake flight it was great! Server was knowledgeable about Celiac. They do clean off the grill to make the food but it is not a dedicated kitchen. Also, while they have gf bread for toast it's put in the sabe toaster as the other bread so I did not eat that! So far no reaction!
I appreciate the GF menu & have never gotten sick here, but for some reason the food here just doesn't taste very good to me. Blah. Not really worth the loooooong lines & wait in my opinion.
Delicious gluten free pancakes!
Loooong wait, but worth it. Excellent food and good gf options.
So worth the wait! Went on Sunday waited for an hour fifteen. Was soooo good loved the blueberry pancake! No reactions!
Love their GF Eggs Benedict! It's been one of the dishes that I've missed the most since switching to a GF diet.
The Graceland pancake was like heaven. Very helpful staff and super delicious food. Snooze is super popular and very crowded so plan for a Lon wait or get there early. Definitely worth the wait and the price.
full GF menu options, fabulous GF pancakes - be sure to add your protein! VERY crowded for a mid-week breakfast at a non-rush hr time, so a locals favorite that is for sure. service was great. will definitely return if I'm in the area
I went here once and ordered the blueberry pancakes. They tasted amazing and I felt fine. I was told that it is a "gluten-free friendly" environment, but that most of their menu was gluten-free by default. And I felt fine afterwards. Fast forward 3 days later, I come here and order the same gluten-free blueberry pancakes. However, this time around I experience some of the worst gluten symptoms I've ever had. Insides on fire for multiple days. Unsure whether the pancakes themselves were not GF (which could have been an ordering mistake), or there was serious cross-contamination. Either way, I would recommend Celiacs avoid this place, since there is likely a high amount of cross-contamination.
One of my favorite places, I love the GF pancake flight! They are very upfront about the possibility of cross contamination, so no separate prep area.
Incredible. So friendly, so helpful and SO delicious. Cannot recommend enough. My boys had GF pancakes, I had the snooze classic with poached eggs, bacon and GF toast. It was beautiful. They also spoilt us with a free GF choc chip and cinnamon butter pancake. To. Die. For. Staff were well educated and customer service focused. Such a refreshing change for us as a GF and dairy intolerant family.
While not having a dedicated kitchen, the menu states they can not guarantee cross-contamination, for those of us without celiac it has a great staff, clean comfortable seating area and they can make almost anything on the menu GF. Great surprise right near the university. Their pancakes rock!!
Amazing food and knowledgeable staff! I highly recommend the breakfast tacos!
This place makes my week! Service is the name of the game at Snooze. Rachel makes the best latte on the planet! Brennan, omg, can he be any more adorable?! Oh yeah, the food. The food is so very yummy! There are only 2 items on the menu not served gluten free. Special tip: flight size pancakes for dessert. What's the best time to get there? That is ancient secret. I'm sure not telling. See you for breakfast!
There were only 2 items on the entire menu that couldn't be made GF. I was so happy to have so many options! I ended up ordering huevos rancheros but since this my first trip here, my waiter brought me a cinnamon butter pecan pancake free of charge to try. Smart man because I will definitely be back! It was beyond delicious! I am usually wary of GF bread options because of texture. I miss bread but many bread replacements don't cut it. This pancake was AMAZING - delicious and the texture was perfect. I can't wait to go back! Our waiter said they can't guarantee that there will be no cross-contamination but their kitchen has special areas and griddles for their GF menu items. No stomach pains for me and multiple delicious options means I will be back!
Fabulous restaurant. So many choices. I ended up getting the breakfast tacos (corn tortillas) and one gf pineapple upside down pancake. Both very tasty although I thought the tacos were better. Waiter did warn of gluten/flour in the kitchen. However I'm extremely sensitive and did not get sick.
WOW! Hands down the best breakfast restaurant I've ever been to. We are both Celiac and I am normally very sceptical of any eatery I'm not familiar with. But based on the reviews, I was willing to risk it. After talking to the waiter I felt comfortable enough to try. And how happy I am that I did. Highly recommended.
Gluten-free possibilities abound at this delightful sunny-side-up brunch spot, with almost any menu item available as a GF option. Just let your server know and your choices will be happily accommodated. Their online menu doesn't include this information but it's true! As with most restaurants, cross-contamination can happen but the staff promises to keep things as GF as possible. Like me, you've likely discovered it's a matter of degree in determining whether to dine out here or elsewhere. I had no issue with the food here even though I'm highly sensitive. First time in 8 years that I've had French toast that exceeded my expectations. Yes! The grilled cheese on GF bread with tomato soup and GF blueberry Danish pancake with lemon creme filling are recommended as well for those looking for GF comfort foods that aren't too heavy or sugary. Absolutely delicious food, knowledgable service, and modern vintage diner decor make Snooze AM Eatery a most welcome addition to Austin's ever expanding array of GF-friendly restaurants.
Good food and lots of it! I asked all my usual questions (prep area, change gloves, how they reduced risk of cross contact, and so many more) and both the hostess and server were quite knowledgeable. I felt very safe eating there. All that AND a cup of coffee while waiting for a table! Next time, we will call ahead to save the 30 minute wait. Seems they are always busy and that was a short time. I haven't been out for breakfast in years. A wonderful experience!!
Lots of options for celiac ' s, including all flavors of pancakes and waffle option, hot chocolate, and teas!
My family of 6 typically eats at the Snooze locations in Boulder and Denver and never have a problem. Today, we chose to drive to Ft Collins and decided to try Snooze there. My 5 year old and I are the only two in the family with Celiac and we both became incredibly sick from eating here. (We both had the "GF" pancakes) It is our spring break and this isn't a fun way to spend our vacation.
Fantastic food, no sickness. SLOOOOOOWWWW service at brunch time.
Almost too good to be true GF pancakes! Came here numerous times with 3 celiacs and no one's had an issue. Only time there's no wait seems to be 1-3PM Mon-Thurs (closes at 3PM). The 2-person tables in back are awkwardly close to each other and you'll be put there if you only have 2 and it's busy.
Had an amazing breakfast here! I had a spicy chai latte, it was the best! They can make drinks with almond or soy, I ordered a hot chocolate with almond milk for my son- yummy! I love eggs Benedict and hadn't had them in awhile so I tried their chilaquiles benedict, OMG! Soooo good, the service was great, our waiter said they were the mecca of gluten free and can make anything gluten free except the gravy and pot pie. I had so many options here :)
The food was tasty, but there's a reason the website and menu doesn't stress GF options. Wife and son are both Celiac. Server was honest enough to admit that kitchen put gluten (+) pancake on son's plate. Both of them have had severe flares for past 2 days. Don't go if truly sensitive, the cross-contamination is bad.
A phenomenal gluten free menu! The WHOLE menu except for 1 item can be made gluten free friendly. And at no extra charge. The prices are great and the creative menu keeps me coming back for more! They do make the pancakes on the same grill as the regular pancakes but they clean it for allergies. I usually get the tacos because I get nervous eating off the same grill because I'm highly sensitive but my other celiac friend gets the pancakes all the time and loves them. So maybe I'll have to try!
The food tasted amazing but I am a celiac and I informed them of this fact and asked for a separate cooking surface for my pancakes and they did not accommodate. I ended up getting violently ill. If you are a celiac like me then I warn you against the shared cooking surface.
This was a tasty fun place. Went on a Saturday and was busy with a 20 minute wait. Lots of upbeat music. The servers were friendly and helpful with the Gluten free info. I had an omelet and GF order of upside down pineapple pancakes and hash browns. Was very good. Unfortunately my wife and I both had to hit the bathroom within a half hour after eating there. She has no gluten issues but I do. IDK, maybe related maybe not.
Cute retro decor, friendly and warm service, great selection of breakfast drinks to include creative mixed drinks beyond the traditional mimosa. The gluten free selection is impressive, breads and pancakes of any flavor. I was very excited to enjoy some pancakes and went with 1 traditional and 1 blueberry. They were yummy, but the base batter seemed to miss that something special to push it over the top to 5 stars. My gluten full husband enjoyed his breakfast. We would come again if ever back in the area. Well worth the visit!
