What a great place! I am visiting Vancouver for the day and I looked this place up and saw they have their own gluten friendly menu. It was outstanding. I would not recommend this place for celiac only because it is one kitchen and no dedicated fryer. But if you are okay with cross contamination this is a great find! I have posted pictures explaining what I ordered! 10/10 for me!

Staff were very aware about celiac. This was the first burger I’ve eaten in a restaurant since my diagnosis and it was delicious! No issues!

I went to Tap and Barrel with a couple of non gf friends. I ordered the burger, informed our server I had a gluten allergy and I wanted no sides. She asked if I was celiac, confirmed I can’t have cross contamination, and informed me I could in fact eat the fries as they have a gluten free deep fryer. She read back the order and re-iterated my dietary needs. When my food was delivered, the food runner brought my meal out separately and confirmed it was gluten free with no cross contamination.
Not only were the burger and fries delicious, it is over 12 hours later and I feel no symptoms!
Their front of house and back of house staff are clearly trained well and exercised the necessary precautions.

Very celiac aware! A manager brought out my food deeming it GF. They have multiple GF fryers the server told me and a lot of the menu seems to be able to accommodated. They also asked about cross contamination. Would definitely go again! Also a great patio by the water.

They were totally aware of celiac issues. They have a dedicated fryer. I had a burger and fries. It was brought out separately by a different staff member who announced it was for the celiac and dine in the separate fryer.

Definitely understood celiac. They have a different GF menu, they note at the bottom that the fries are fried in the same fryer as gluten containing items. They said they take every precaution for cross contamination, although still the same prep surface. The manager came tot all to us and answer any questions we had after the server had already explained their process as well. Felt safe as they were very on top of making sure we understood their processes. Only gave 4 stars as food wasn’t the best, but decent.

Oh man, what happened to this place? I always remember Bridges being this classy, great restaurant. Now their food is mediocre, staff do not care, decor is old and their gluten free options are sub par. Definitely don’t get the impression they understand celiac.
No
The food was very good, I ordered nachos which they said should be safe. However I felt sick after for 24 hours.i believe the nachos may have been baked in the same fryer.
Great options and celiac friendly. The gelato is fantastic!
Yes
We visited the sugar bar for gelato. It was the third gelato store we stopped at but the first who didn't look confused when I asked which flavours were gluten free. I had the dulce de leche and it was amazing.
