Had an amazing meal here. They totally get it. Server was knowledgeable, there are so many gluten-free options, and the food was delicious. I came here mostly to post pictures of the food so you all can dream about it.

They have gluten free churros (T27 donuts). Worth going here for the churros alone. Their fried food is all gf. I’ve never had an issue. Just make sure you always get the corn tortillas. Some of the specials will have flour.

They don’t have a separate gluten free menu, nor do they indicate which items on the menu are gluten free, however, lots of the menu items are gluten free, and the wait staff was very knowledgeable about celiac disease. They were very accommodating and reassuring about cross contamination. And they were extra careful about my egg allergy too.

A great place for good Mexican food and margaritas. Staff was very knowledgeable about gluten free options and cross contact in the kitchen. They took it very seriously and made me feel comfortable! I've had the nachos, enchiladas, street corn, churros ( so good!), and tacos and never felt bad afterwards. I have heard that the vegetarian options are kind of bland/not very good. Margaritas are delicious! A great date night option too!

I got the fried chicken tacos, churros, fried shrimp bites, and an enchilada. The food was immaculate and no gluten reaction at all despite being a sensitive celiac!

Man, I really wanted to like it here. Disclaimer: I'm from Texas, and grew up eating Tex-Mex and authentic Mexican my whole life. I was pumped that the whole menu, minus flour tortillas, is gluten-free and that they understand celiac safety. Unfortunately, everything we got was either bland or just awful. We started with chips, queso, and T27 and chipotle salsa. The portions are SMALL. The T27 salsa was good. The chipotle was not, and the queso was an attempt at authentic queso fondido, but it was just barely-seasoned melted cheese. I got the fried chicken tacos and my husband got portobello enchiladas. My tacos were nothing special at all, and the taco sauces were basically just vinegar. My husbands enchiladas were terrible. The only flavor in the vegetables was bitterness. We were both sorely disappointed by the high price and lack of flavor. I would honestly rather get tacos or a burrito bowl at Chipotle.

Tacos were pretty good! I got one of their daily specials which was shrimp fajitas tacos with rice and beans on corn tortillas. I will say that I thought it was good but needed a little more flavor. The salsas helped. And it was overpriced. It was an additional charge for rice and beans, and the portions were pretty small. The bowl or burrito (for non-gf people) looked like a better value.

Excellent food, service, and drinks. Had a great gluten free beer option, a range of delicious foods, and even gluten free churros (incredible). The waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable. Had an excellent experience here, will go back.

I have ate here many times before being diagnosed with celiac, always loved this place! Then when I recently learned 90% of their food is gluten free I was so excited! We went last night and it was incredible! I was able to get fish fried tacos because they have a dedicated fryer! Also the churros (which I never thought I’d get to eat again) were phenomenal! Our server was knowledgeable about gluten and celiac. We had a fantastic experience! We will be coming back more often! I felt fairly normal dinning out last night and that’s rare!

WOW. This place was so delicious. The server was very knowledgeable and helpful when ordering. Get the appetizer sampler and then a smaller entree - so worth it. Got their featured fried calamari taco and some churros to finish it off. Partly wish I lived in SLC just so I could come back to this place again soon!

The churros by far are worth a visit here. But the main food was good as well, almost everything is gluten free except one kind of meat and the flour tortillas. But they are very careful about cross contamination and I did not get sick at all!

Almost all of the menu can be made gf! I think everything was gf besides the flour tortillas. Dedicated fryer so had some chips and guac and also loved the carnitas tacos! Best part was the gluten free churros! First time I’ve ever had churros and they were delicious! Love this place!

I have eaten here religiously over the past year, unfortunately they updated their menu to put their carne asada tacos on flour tortillas but didn’t update or indicate this anywhere on the online menu or through the order online menu. I ordered tacos to go and got back to work to realize they were on flour tortillas and I could not eat them. I called the restaurant and they refunded the tacos, I asked that they update their menu with these changes since a lot of people eat here with gluten sensitivities.

Amazing food and service! No issues whatsoever and the waitress was very knowledgeable about GF things. The only thing there that isn't GF is the flour tortillas and they are kept in a separate area.

I was visiting Salt Lake City and I decided to order takeout to my hotel room. I got the chicken enchiladas, chips and salsa, and their gluten free churros. Everything was so delicious. I was especially excited to have churros for the first time since I found out it celiac disease. They did not disappoint.

Y'all...churros. And fried fish tacos, that didn't make me sick.
Yes
Fantastic flavor. They said everything except the flour tortillas is gf, even the churros
The only place in SLC I trust to never get me sick. I hope that never changes.
Yes
A must to visit. It was so great to not have to worry how the chips were made. Plus the prices are very reasonable! And finally could have dessert! Can’t remember last time I had churros.
Amazing! I think everything is gluten free but the flour tortillas. They mostly use corn. The churro is to die for and glen free! My husband said best ever and would take it over a donut any day!
Yes
great tacos and gluten free churros!!

Several locations and one of my regular date-night places. Everything on the menu is gluten-free except for bleu cheese and flour tortillas (the waiters usually only mention the tortillas, but I know to avoid it so 🤷♀). I usually go with the Mexican Cobb salad with cilantro dressing and add steak, but everything I’ve ever had here has tasted amazing, including the tacos, guacamole, mole, Vida Paloma margarita (best on the menu), and they even have gluten free churros if you have room for it!
Yes
Fantastic meal! Very knowledgeable staff for GF.... I highly recommend this restaurant!
GF Churros are amazing! Have tried a few things there and never had any trouble.

This place might be great if you're doing gluten free for a diet reason, but I have Celiac's disease, and they really, really poisoned me. The waiter assured me everything would be gluten free and safe. I'm not even sure how it got into my meal other than through cross contamination, but I straight up thought I was going to vomit in the restaurant and I felt awful for hours. Date night ruined.

Gluten free churros what?!!!! Amazing.
Yes
I ordered a gf quesadilla and my fiancé got the Brent tacos. He said the tacos definitely needed the cheese/salsa/avocado. The quesadilla had a weird sauce on top that was kind of bland. The staff was knowledgeable about gluten free allergies.
Yes
Good was delicious and there were lots of gluten free options
Lots of GF options and really good food. The Oaxacan Steak and Eggs on the brunch menu were great and my husband enjoyed his wild boar Taco of the Day. They have several guacamoles to start your meal and some interesting beverages. The only thing we can't recommend is the Bloody Maria; it was watery and disappointing.
Knowledgeable staff, and pretty much everything is gluten free as long as you do corn tortillas.

Visiting from out of town, and this had to be one of my favorite places. Most of the menu is gluten free or can be made gluten free when they exclude the flour tortilla. I got the fried fish tacos and they were pretty average. They have a dedicated fryer because all things fried are GF. The appetizer and churros were the stars. The street corn dip was delicious! The churros are more like donuts and less like churros - still very good!! Hope to come back soon!

Nice for a date night (I did see a few kids, but it seems more modern than family), menu is marked with “GF” (I’ll include photos), and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our server mentioned two different fryers that never come in contact with gluten and basically anything can be made gluten free. I’ve heard from several people that Taqueria 27 is good and safe, so I was excited to try everything—especially the churros. I make churros at home, and I must admit the churros here were disappointing. I don’t know if they were made with buckwheat flour or something, but they tasted a little off. The chocolate sauce was good, but the whipped cream didn’t have any sugar in it. The food was beautiful but definitely not large portion sizes, and everything was a bit underseasoned. Even just having a salt shaker on the table would have helped. We got nacho fries as an appetizer, and they were probably the best thing we had, but also a little underseasoned. I got the Achiote Marinated Fried Chicken Breast Tacos and my husband got the Chile-Citrus Carnitas Tacos. The fried chicken was maybe a bit dry and needed salt, but I was still excited to say I had fried chicken. The carnitas had fries inside. I think I probably liked the fried chicken tacos more, but they weren’t fantastic. Overall, the food was fairly good, beautiful, not filling, and needed more seasoning. But it was a fun date and our server was very nice. I’d come again.

Their churros are 100% gluten-free, and everything on their menu is gluten-free except for the flour tortillas, which everything come on a corn tortilla. You have to ask for a flour tortilla specifically. The staff is very knowledgeable about celiac.
