Came in during morning rush hour. Was told one of the chefs has celiac disease so they have gluten allergy procedures put in place. They have a small GF menu, ordered from there and didn’t have a reaction after so that’s good. However based on the reviews I would still be a little cautious about this place if you do eat there.

I’ve been here multiple times and it’s been good food. But this place needs a deep clean.
Edited: recently went after not dining here for a couple years. Everything was so dirty, sticky tables, dirty silverware, upstairs where we were seated smelled like garbage, one of the staff dropped an f-bomb loudly in the little area they take dishes and get supplies from. I can no longer recommend this place to anyone because of how incredibly dirty it was. They gave me the wrong breakfast at first too, glad i questioned it before I took a bite.
This is my new favorite breakfast place!! Everything I've had is so good.

The managers daughter has celiac. They're very understanding of GF / celiac issues. They have a wonderful GF menu and they have a separate kitchen upstairs as well as mini kitchen downstairs.
Just ate at the Buttered Biscuit in Sumner. First and last time we will ever go there! There were barely any customers, but it took forever to get to order( 4 staff members were busy talking and laughing behind the counter). Then, we get my gluten-free crepes, and one of them was burnt. When my mom said something to the waitress, she told us "No they aren't, that is just the color of the gluten-free ones"(the other 2 were actually normal color, but this did not seem to make a difference). The gluten-free "monster Cristo " my mom had was barely warm, and the ham really salty! Also, she didn't even remember to bring my bacon! It was sitting on the counter when we went up to pay! She realized it, and asked if I wanted it boxed to go! I declined! I will never go there again!
Not really celiac friendly and barely passable as GF. I didn't feel safe eating. Limited GF menu. They do offer Udis bread.
I really wish I could say this was celiac friendly, but when they brought me my gluten free dish, with a gravey on it, I decided to ask the chef myself. So glad I did. It in fact was made with flour. That was a very close call for someone with Celiac.

Disappointing. I use to love BB in Sumner but thinking back the kitchen was always full of flies. Just ate at the BL BB and ordered gluten free pancakes for my daughter who has celiac, We've been home about 45 minutes and she is now throwing up because of them. When I called the person who answered the phone hung up on me when I started telling her about my dissatisfaction. Not to mention that they charged me $11.95 for the pancake..that is ONE pancake, that is listed at $10.95 on their menu. Left there paying $60.00 for a mediocre meal at best. I will never got back. The BL location has ruined their reputation.

Disappointed. My friends specifically chose this place to accommodate my Celiac Disease and I was informed as I was ordering that they did not have a dedicated facility. It is very difficult to go out to eat and trust someone to prepare a meal for you, when you're the only one paying for the mistake.

We went on a warm day...all the doors were open and there were flies everywhere! Gross! The place was very dirty and the table we sat at was sticky. We ordered the crepes and were not impressed at all. They were smothered in a sauce that made them soggy. Very disappointing.
The food was good - the restaurant was very dirty. (Tables, floor, walls, utensils, menus)
They do have a 5-6 page gluten-free menu and offer to make most dishes on the regular menu GF if possible for a nominal charge.
If the place was clean I would have given it many more stars.

We ate there 4 times in a row. Very good food. My only complaint was that things seem to be kind of haphazard. We had to ask for a tea bag with our tea, I didn't get my bacon one morning but I didn't realize it until later, and a few more similar things that were remedied when mentioned. Staff was very friendly.

Love the breakfast tacos and the pancakes!!! Totally yummy!
My server was GF as well. He recommended the crepes and they were amazing.
Amazing home town feel with lots of options for gluten-free people including homemade deserts :D
We went here on a Sunday morning, it was packed. I didn't expect the place to be so big. We didn't wait too long & were seated upstairs. My first impression was its dirty and had a weird smell, the carpet was gross as well as the menus were all sticky. the staff was nice and got me a gluten free menu. I ordered a breakfast plate , it was ok they forgot my toast but I didn't ask for it they were so busy. I looked over the gf menu just to check it out and the only downside was I am vegetarian and I didn't see any options really. didn't get sick though, which made it nice.

I was excited to find a GF place in sumner but unfortunately I was disappointed. 3 stars because the staff was great. Unfortunately my meal came scorched to black, over fried, the only edible part was the gramma eggs.
I've had a terribly upset stomach since I left, and will not likely be returning.
The menu might be huge, but it was also grease covered, dirty, and held together with yarn. Sorry Buttered Biscuit. There's quaint, and then there's just giving the appearance you don't care. The menu wasn't even all printed on the same paper. The floors were dirty, and everything had that three days grim stick to it.

Fabulous!!! OMG. The menu is huge. The staff didn't even blink at being asked for a GF menu...grabbed it immediately...no need to find the dust-covered menu in depths of the back office. So much variety in type, flavor and price scale. Portions were huge!!! In town for a visit and the staff was gracious, knowledgable, and knew exactly what was needed. My non-GF family loved it too. Would recommend to anyone wanting good home cooked food at a reasonable price.
The BEST gluten free place I've been to. Everyone was super friendly and it is a super cute little hole in the wall. Has a huge gluten free menu, awesome crepes and sandwiches !!! Totally worth the visit--- especially for gluten intolerant individuals. I'm a new regular.
Their gf menu was huge, great tasting. Took care to make sure everything wasn't cross contaminated and even had gf bread! Even though I'm pretty sure it was Udi's. Will return!
Had breakfast there before and really enjoyed it. They have a very large gf menu which is great, but I went there today wanting a club sandwich and asked about a separate toaster. I eas told that they used to have a separate one but it broke. They could cook my bread on the grill but that's where they cook gluten filled grill items. I dont think they would have volunteered that info unless I asked. Dont really feel safe eating here anymore. Ask questions people! A gf menu means nothing anymore.
awesome food, generous portions & the whole place is just darn cute.
Wonderful gf creeps and lots of options
