Brunch buffet experience was very strong. Knowledgeable staff gave us a tour of the offerings. Cross contamination is possible in some areas, but we were able to order GF waffles direct from the kitchen - a highlight for my son! The omelet bar was safe from our perspective. Fruit in buffet was separate from baked goods, if we wanted to be extra safe we could have asked for a fruit plate direct from the kitchen. Pricey but fun!

This is for Kō- What a nice spot. We ate dinner here at a wedding reception. We had a nice private table. Staff was friendly & quick. It did take awhile to get apps, but I think there was a miscommunication about when they should bring them out. They waited until the bride & groom cake, but they wanted their guests to start ahead of them. For apps we had- ahi on the rock, lavender honey crisp shrimp, chicken and mushroom lumpia, and pork belly buns. Everyone enjoyed everything. I didn’t eat any as I don’t like seafood & am gluten free. There was also coconut curry soup and a salad. Four entrées there was lemon grass coconut broth fresh catch, zarzuela, paniolo bone in ribeye, and grilled lamb chops. I had the rib eye. It was good. My boys had Mac n cheese, which they enjoyed. Everyone enjoyed their dinners. Cocktails, wine, beer, & champagne were all enjoyed too.

We tried the restaurant Ko the first day of our arrival. The server was very knowledgeable, the GF items are clearly written on the menu, there’s a lot of choices, and they can accommodate for a few other items. They place a bamboo skewer to mark the GF plates.
We had the Ahi on the Rock, which is basically a piece of fresh tuna that you cook yourself on a hot stone. Delicious!
We had the Oishi Sushi which was hands down the best sushi we ever had (and we tried a lot of places where we live in Montreal)
We had the seafood Lau Lau. They also make a vegetarian version of it with tofu and both are delicious.
The catch of the day was good also but a bit over cooked according to our personal taste.

Not a ton of options at all but the staff is very familiar with what can be GF. I ordered a burger with GF bun at the pool lunch spot and they automatically even gave me fruit instead of fries without me even asking (I assumed there were no subs so I just wasn’t going to eat the fries) so that was a pleasant surprise! Haven’t felt sick here! Also did the lava rock ahi at Ko—yummy! Pricey and not super filling but cool to do! And GF when you ask for the right sauce

This review is for Ko (restaurant within Fairmont Kea Lani). Server was knowledgeable and helpful, food came out marked with a skewer as GF, and my celiac husband wasn’t glutened, but there weren’t very many GF options, the main menu wasn’t marked, so ordering involved lots of consultation with the server, and the catch of the day selection for one of our meals was really over-cooked. Like inedible overcooked. Atmosphere felt sort of like the main dining room of a cruise ship: bland and filled with (loud) overtired kids. Definitely not one of our favorites on Maui, especially in this price range.
Have been here for a week and they are super aware of gf. Great food and super service.
Very knowledgeable when it comes to Celiac and many other food allergies. The hotel even offers an allergy form when you check in to ensure that there is no cross contamination. Food is delicious, but pricey.

This review is specifically for "Ko" at the Fairmont Kea Lani.
Our waitress was very Celiac/GF aware, though admittedly, part of that was due to her having 3 family members with Celiac. She was able to point out a number of options on the menu which were GF, and checked with the chef on anything which we or she thought might be questionable. Our food was very good, and the service overall attentive. It wasn't my absolute favorite meal on Maui, so I might give it 4.5 stars if I could, but we really had no complaints.

Excellent service, delicious/ amazing food, and there was understanding about gluten sensitivity. Menu has some creative options, this dinner experience was a highlight of our week.
