I got the fried catfish which was delicious. I could have the fries and the slaw, but not the hush puppies. They have a dedicated frialator and menu items are marked. I didn’t have a reaction but was super nervous reading the other reviews.

This place used to be my go to for gluten free celiac safe food in the area but I was so sad today when I came and they had changed their menu. Almost the whole menu used to be able to be made gluten-free and I never got sick.. but today there were only two options that I could have :(

We had a first great experience last year but went back this year and had an awful experience. They cross contaminated everything and brought out everything wrong, hamburgers with wrong buns for kids etc and I got sick. Would avoid if sensitive. The service was also terrible.

It was a treat for my daughter to have warm crab dip and chips as an appetizer. The experience stopped there. Poor service, uniformed waiter, sub par food. It is great that they have a dedicated fryer but the rest of the experience left us underwhelmed.

I’ve eaten here twice - the first time the food was decent and I did not get sick. The second I got very ill despite making it clear to the waiter that I have celiac and ordering a supposedly GF item off the menu (I had the pork nachos). On top of that my mom found 3 long black hairs in her breakfast scramble. Full disclosure they comped that meal from the bill (we weren’t even going to say anything about it until we pulled the THIRD hair out of her meal and it was just getting ridiculous). I don’t normally leave reviews like this but after that and getting really sick from being glutened, I feel obligated. Like I said, I’ve been once before and it was fine but will not be returning because it’s just not worth it to me. For folks with celiac disease, the views on the restaurant porch are beautiful but proceed with caution eating the food.

Absolutely amazing! We got the crab dip, fried pickles, sweet potato mash, and the bay scallops & pork belly fried rice. Leaving stuffed and happy! Great gluten free find

They have a dedicated fryer and were able to answer all questions very easily! The food and service were top notch. We had the loaded fries, pork belly and scallop fried rice, blackened salmon, Philly sushi roll, and the chocolate cake for dessert. It was all top notch! We might even come back a second time.

They have GF items marked on the menu. I was there at lunch and ordered the kale salad with chicken. It was good and fresh. They also have sandwiches with GF bun and chicken wings. The waitress was very helpful and made sure all my dietary concerns were noted.

My wife is celiac so finding restaurants that are safe can be a challenge but this place was great. Gluten free items are clearly marked on the menu and the kitchen and staff are very good about being careful about allergens. If you have an allergy, the server notifies the kitchen. Their gluten free desert was also very good.

Absolutely delicious restaurant right on the water. Gluten free items are clearly marked on the menu and they take allergies very seriously. Waitstaff is very knowledgeable and can answer any questions. I ordered the sweet and spicy cauliflower wings (which were to die for) and the pulled pork nachos. They have a dedicated gluten free fryer so the chips were safe. One of my favorite dinners I have ever had, plus their portions are huge! Highly recommend!
We decided to come back the next day for breakfast and even though they don’t have many GF options marked on the breakfast menu, it’s just because they have regular bread, but you can substitute gluten free toast. Their hash browns are safe to eat too because of the dedicated fryer.

I had the huevos rancheros with a side of hash browns. They do their best to accommodate people with allergies and even have a separate fryer for that reason.

Had an amazing experience here! I am very sensitive and did not get sick! They noted that I had celiac (and the waitress knew what it was) and my food came out separately and she made sure to say “so it does not come in contact with gluten.” Overall amazing!! Would definitely go again!!!

I went here while visiting Charleston. One of the few restaurants that made me feel confident in their ability to deal with Celiac. The staff was knowledgeable about Gluten-free items, cross contamination, and preparation in the kitchen. They handle allergies seriously and the food was delicious! I had Sushi, Cauliflower Wings, the Salmon entree, flourless chocolate cake - all delicious and amazing!! I highly recommend this restaurant!

My daughter has celiacs and it is extremely hard to find a restaurant with a large variety of menu items for gluten free. Mill Street has a great selection and multiple items that can be made gluten free. We had the brussel sprouts, street corn, poke bowl, salmon meal and steak meal. All of which she was able to eat. (Brussel sprouts and poke bowl were her favorites.) She was able to try food from everyone’s plate and had no issues. There were a couple of sushi rolls they can make gluten free as well but we did not try those this time; but will next time. Definitely will go back!

Wonderful range of options across the whole menu including apps, salads, and mains. Dedicated GF fryer!! App: BBQ pork Nachos, maple bacon fried Brussels, street corn all GF and delicious. I got the Spicy ahi tuna salad and they made it GF using GF soy sauce! Menu items marked GF. Waiter was very knowledgeable and didn’t hesitate to double check things with the kitchen. In addition to menu, lovely riverfront location.

Amazing experience and probably one of the best I have had in Mount Pleasant. Server was very knowledgeable. They have a gluten free fryer for dedicated foods including french fries. Amazing menu with plenty of options. Highly recommend the SWEET & SPICY CAULIFLOWER “WINGS”!!
