This place every time you go in there is contradicting. One minute they have a gluten free griddle, next they don’t. So not sure what to believe. I’ve ate there twice and honestly was fine, but the third time they said the griddle wasn’t separate so I just left. Might be a ymmv kind of thing.

The menu was labeled with GF but some of the menu was wrong - they said the meat was no longer Gluten free but still marked on the menu as GF. Otherwise they were very knowledgeable of what was GF!

GF pancakes were fluffy and could barely tell they were GF. Variety of flavors was great!
They had waffles on menu but wouldn’t let me have the same flavor of pancakes in a waffle.

Many Original Pancake House locations offer gluten free pancakes. Please speak to your server about taking the proper precautions to prevent cross contamination, if necessary.
Amazing pancakes!!! They knew all about gluten and cross contamination. Brought us out a stack of pancakes that were amazing.
The food was not good and i ended up getting sick from the food and the waitress didn’t even know much about gluten free. Will not be returning
No
Most pancakes are available gluten free. However, they are marked as 'gluten friendly' on the menu as they are cooked on the same griddle as wheat pancakes and so they cannot guarantee they are gluten free.
the menu is very clear on which items can be made gluten free. staff was very knowledgeable! is a little more pricey compared to a normal pancake house, but the size proportions are huge!!! well worth the money and no reaction afterwards! will most definitely come back
Yes
Great tasting food! Staff we spoke with all seemed educated. I didn't get sick after eating there. Pancake options are available. This is notated, in part, on the menu.
This place has one of the best gluten free breakfast menus in the twin cities

Got sick from the veggie sausages and it was completely awful. Not gluten free friendly.
The gluten-free pancakes were solid and appreciated. They have fresh blueberry syrup also which was terrific.

OK here's my honest review going to the Original Pancake House with Celiac. They have several gluten free options, which is super cool. They can make any pancake gluten free, however, I have no idea what ingredients are in their add ons for pancakes and honestly I'm not sure the wait staff fully knows either. Due to that lack of confidence, I ordered plain GF pancakes. They tasted excellent and I highly recommend. The caveat is how sensitive are you and how willing are you to take a legit chance in potentially getting glutened? They do cook the pancakes on a separate griddle, but they use the same cooking utensil as regular pancakes, so the potential is there for cross contamination. I would avoid the waffles because they are cooked in the same waffle iron. I took a chance on the pancakes and I think I will be safe. I would stay away from ANY sides as they are cooked on the same griddled as the gluten foods. If I get glutened I am confident it is because I did not ask the right questions related to meat prep BEFORE I took a bite of the ham I ordered. So if you decide to roll the dice on this one and hope against hope because you just want to have a "normal" meal out with your family because celiac is HARD, I would recommend sticking with straight up GF plain pancakes. Hope that helps you all! Have a good day!
