I did not eat here but went and talk to the cook. All the gluten free pancakes and food are fixed on the same grill as gluten food. They do not have a not have a dedicated place for gluten free pancakes.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I got the gluten free pancakes and got so insanely sick. I will never go back.

Update: I had to take 2 stars off went for breakfast got the gluten free pancakes and found plastic cooked into mine, grossed me out I can't go back now!
The pancakes are so good, and the bacon is thick sliced and wonderful. I eat here often. The sausage patties and links are rolled in flour, but ask your waitress to have them not roll them in flour it takes a couple extra minutes
Many Original Pancake House locations offer gluten free pancakes. Please speak to your server about taking the proper precautions to prevent cross contamination, if necessary.
Only GF option available was pancakes. The rest of the menu looked good but was not safe to eat.

Very expensive and small portions. 👎

Great GF pancakes! The chef was very accommodating and came out and ask questions to get clarification. Not GF environment so questionable for celiac but very accommodating staff.
Only one item, pancakes, AND they use shared surfaces and utensils. My kids ate anyway, they aren't as sensitive, and since it wasn't busy they promised to wipe surfaces clean. I didn't eat. I usually call ahead and should have this time!

(3/13 Update): Dropped by this morning, and double checked gluten free options. The waitress checked with mgmt, and they would only commit to the GF pancakes being GF. Talked with the manager personally, and I gather they're under a mgmt transition with new cooks in the kitchen and GF/CC procedures not standardized, so be careful here. Would wait until they get their procedures straight and prefer other options like Le Peep or now. /
(Original Review): We eat there every 1-2 weeks. Great gluten-free pancakes! If you have sausage, make sure they don't bread it with flour.
This place has one of the best gluten free breakfast menus in the twin cities

Got sick from the veggie sausages and it was completely awful. Not gluten free friendly.
The gluten-free pancakes were solid and appreciated. They have fresh blueberry syrup also which was terrific.

OK here's my honest review going to the Original Pancake House with Celiac. They have several gluten free options, which is super cool. They can make any pancake gluten free, however, I have no idea what ingredients are in their add ons for pancakes and honestly I'm not sure the wait staff fully knows either. Due to that lack of confidence, I ordered plain GF pancakes. They tasted excellent and I highly recommend. The caveat is how sensitive are you and how willing are you to take a legit chance in potentially getting glutened? They do cook the pancakes on a separate griddle, but they use the same cooking utensil as regular pancakes, so the potential is there for cross contamination. I would avoid the waffles because they are cooked in the same waffle iron. I took a chance on the pancakes and I think I will be safe. I would stay away from ANY sides as they are cooked on the same griddled as the gluten foods. If I get glutened I am confident it is because I did not ask the right questions related to meat prep BEFORE I took a bite of the ham I ordered. So if you decide to roll the dice on this one and hope against hope because you just want to have a "normal" meal out with your family because celiac is HARD, I would recommend sticking with straight up GF plain pancakes. Hope that helps you all! Have a good day!
