We've been before and had a good experience, but the last time we went, I got a gf menu, then emphasizes to the server I have a gluten allergy. I ordered the veggie burger, gf bun, and fries. I got sick 3 hours later. When I let management know, they insisted it was something else I ate. I didn't eat anything else after dinner, and I have a pretty solid gluten-sick clock. I won't go back.

They have a separate gf menu with lots of options AND a dedicated gf fryer. I had eaten here maybe 4 times safely. Then, I got super sick on the 5th visit. So disappointed. Definitely a gluten reaction. I also spoke to someone who lives in Bangor and they also got glutened there. Such a bummer since it felt so safe. Roll of the dice I guess.

We were able to get a table outside on the patio. I ordered the salmon salad with citrus dressing. They have a separate gf menu. The server said he would bring a gluten free bread basket ( free) and I got one piece of white toast. I asked what brand and the server asked the chef and it as Udi’s. I would go go back to Timber as they had a lot of items to choose from the gf menu.

The food was good and the service was knowledgeable about what I can and can’t eat. I didn’t get sick and ate here twice during our stay. For the people complaining about the food being “frozen” before being cooked. What do you think most restaurants do these days?

The food was terrific! A dedicated fryer and a sever who knew exactly what I could and couldn’t have. I went for a safe steak and fries and it was delicious!

One of the most extensive GF menus I’ve seen. The setting is very nice.

I talked to the manager and was told they have a separate work space, a GF frier, and separate pans.

The server knew what Celiac was and said as long as it was marked the kitchen took good care of it. She was not able to answer any questions about specifics.

There have a GF menu which offers a lot of options but there is a some dishes with descriptionsthat shows gluten ingredients. For example, there is guiness stout in the mussels... I made sure to read the menu carefully before ordering. My "Logger Burger" was made with sliced bread (which I am grateful for... at least there was bread). They have a dedicated fryer and the fries were awsome!

Overall good—they do have a GF menu, but you will still have to specify because for example the garlic fries are on it, which come with a malt aioli. So they can serve it without if you specify. The server was very knowledgeable and the food was good! Did not get sick, which is a thumbs up from me!

Best burger I’ve had in years, even before gluten invaded my life! Everyone was so chill about the gluten thing, it was such a non-issue. Huge gluten free menu, at least half of the regular menu was on the gluten free one. And great sweet potato fries in the dedicated fryer!

By far the BEST restaurant in Bangor, ME. Delicious AND safe with a lot of gluten free options. The vibe is amazing, it’s very clean and quiet with seating outside on the patio, inside, or at the bar.

I went here twice while I was in town and got the Downeaster Burger with GF bread (Udi’s Multigrain) with sweet potato fries and the TKB Dip (basically a French Dip) with GF bread and regular fries. Both were DELICIOUS!!! I didn’t have any issues at all.

While you’re there, you should try out the homemade lemonade as well. I got the raspberry lemonade and it was delicious, just sweet enough.

The server was knowledgeable and familiar with the menu, along with the modifications that could be made, confirming with the chef when I had a couple of questions. I am Celiac and I had no problems at all. The scallops were just awesome, and the risotto was excellent. I would definitely return and highly recommend this restaurant!

Didn’t give us a separate GF menu, but it wasn’t an issue. The regular menu does not indicate things as “GF” but does note GF pizza dough available. The waiter was super friendly/helpful, checked with the chef on what we ordered and noted he would make sure there were no cross contamination issues. The menu is a wide assortment from apps, salads, burgers, sandwiches, and dinner entrees. We got the buffalo chicken dip to start, a squash soup, a GF pizza and crème brûlée (GF as long as they don’t add the sugar cookie topper). The GF pizza crust was ok. Everything else was really good and we’d go back.

I am gluten and dairy free- the gf Menu also denotes items that can be made dairy free. I had the salmon dinner meal with lobster tail and it was amazing. For apps we had the crispy Brussels and fries which were also incredible! They brought me separate gluten free bread as well. I feel fine today and am sensitive.

This place was such a nice surprise! We loved it. Great atmosphere. Extremely friendly, professional, accommodating staff. Adorable lodge decor with a fire going inside and outside near seating. Very large GF menu. I had a wedge salad and a forest mushroom pizza. Also tasted the sweet potato salad. All of the food was delicious! Try the creme brûlée trio (chocolate, vanilla & coffee) for dessert. It was perfect to split. Other GF dessert options were gelato or a nice selection of coffee drinks.

We have been twice with our kids and our son has celiac disease. The food is amazing and the staff are friendly and fast! Plus they are very kid friendly and have a great kids menu! Gluten-free menu is huge… My son had no issues the first time we had dinner there but got very sick the second time.
