This is a must stop for a pasta loving celiac! I tried the make your own pasta. It was delicious and I did not get sick.
I had the fusilli pasta with the sun-dried tomato and artichoke sauce with roasted vegetables. The downside is that this place is BUSY but we were able to order our meal to go which to about 25 minutes. It's worth the wait if you are willing and have the time, I'd eat here again in a heartbeat.

This is my go to here! SO good!! It’s the create your own gf pasta. I get either fusilli or penne noodles with tomato basil sauce. Usually topped with mozzarella but I’m dairy free. Only complaint is the noodles fall apart easy. The gf flatbread is amazing too!! Highly recommend trying this!

Food was amazing! Had an entire separate gluten free menu. One of the few places that I have felt “normal” eating since being diagnosed. 20+ menu options including 3 appetizer options. Also HIGHLY recommend gluten free bread service. It’s a flatbread with oil to dip it in. My non gluten free family enjoyed the flatbread. I did the create your own gluten free pasta. Definitely on the pricey side but perfect place for date night or celebrating.

A whole gluten free menu with awesome pasta sauce choices, a flat bread that is amazing, and they offer some really good wines. I paired the penne with the creamy pesto sauce and added grilled cheese and I cannot say enough about how delicious and filling it is. The texture is amazing and everything is delicious. My son was able to choose a pizza and enjoy his visit equally! This is a definite repeat.

Waiter was knowledgeable about gluten free menu. I had the fusilli with artichoke and sundried tomato sauce and added sausage. It was delicious. Also ordered the flat bread, it was good, but personal preference I would have liked some garlic or other seasoning on it. I had zero issues.

Flatbread was INCREDIBLE. I had the tomato basil penne with chicken, and it was good, but I feel like I could have made better myself. Dairy free options are available, but limited. The service was quick and helpful.

Would love to give 5 stars but unfortunately here is why I am giving it 3…
We arrived shortly before 8, closing time was at 9. We were told at 7:50 that they were no longer seating people due to apparent wait (only one couple on wait list). We were still able to order food to go, which is what we ended up doing since we had our minds set on going here from the many recommendations we received from friends in nashville.
When we got our food, we were disappointed to see the serving size-did not even fill up the bottom of our to-go container, which is very disappointing given the price (almost $50 for two plates of pasta and gluten free “bread” = what appeared to be just a pizza crust split into 6 pieces).
The taste of the food was still great but unfortunately we were deceived with serving size and unable to be sat despite getting there an hour before closing.

I have always received a warm welcome and understanding of the GF options here. The flatbread is amazing. The Gluten free pizza was great last time and tonight I am trying the GF Chicken Parmesan!! My mouth is watering must listening to the waiter talk about it!!

I have celiac and eat here often. The GF flatbread is great and my go to is the GF fusilli…delicious! They have an extensive GF menu. I walk across to their bakery for gluten-safe treats and have never had a reaction.

Many choices on the GF menu. Three types of pasta, and many sauce options. The GF bruschetta was amazing. The Cajun Alfredo was good, as was the chicken parm. Neither of us had a reaction.

Great food, great location. They had gf flatbread at the table instead of the regular bread. You can dip it in olive oil and Parmesan and it was good! I got the gf steak salad which was delicious. My kids got gluten free pasta and Italian sausage and loved it. Lastly we had gf flourless chocolate cake and it was good. Overall good experience! Didn’t get sick and I’m highly sensitive.

We really enjoyed our build your own pasta here. They do have a gluten safe menu is what they call it. I don’t have celiac, but I have a preference for gluten-free. We got the gluten-free bruschetta as well, and the flatbread isn’t amazing, But the bruschetta toppings were, so it was worth it. Overall a great experience. They did ask to clarify if it was an allergy or just a sensitivity.

So good! It's rare that I come across a gluten free menu so large and so we'll done! The GF bread service was awesome and so was my roasted garlic and gorgonzola penne.
It came out with a little flag to denote it was GF.

They served me a gluten-free dish but it had cross contamination and made me extremely sick. If you have gluten allergies (be ware), make sure you talk to chef because there is a high incidence of cross contamination at this restaurant.

We stopped by Tony’s on the way thru Chattanooga because they have lots of gluten free options and we LOVED IT!! We had gluten free Alfredo chicken penne, chicken Caesar salad and a regular pizza. Food was VERY good! It was very busy so we did not dine in but got take out. I spoke with the owner who has celiacs and he was very nice. He gave us regular bread AND gluten free bread and even told me where to buy it. He made sure we had waters to go and utensils. COVID thoughts - They are doing a great job at spacing people out, taking temperatures and making sure everyone is wearing a mask. I wish they had a restaurant in Nashville!! Thanks for a yummy dinner!
Yes
The food here is great, but very cautious if you are celiac. Every time I eat here, I get mildly sick, so there must be cross contamination. I’ve even tried to order different menu items and I get mildly sick every time.

Very good pasta tans the bread there is wonderful
I eat here whenever I come to Chatt, and I absolutely love it! It’s nice to have an italian place I know is safe, but also tastes amazing! also not super expensive. I’ve never had any issues here, and I am extremely sensitive with my celiac :)

Although the food was great and they offer a large gluten free menu, it is NOT Celiac friendly! I even informed the wait staff of my celiac but I became ill after consuming the pasta. I could taste that the pasta was a gluten free variety, so it may have been cross contamination during the prep?
No
Tonys was as good as all the other reviewer’s promised! We had amazing gluten-free flatbread and herbs had pasta with sausage and pesto-it was really great!

Great gluten free menu and bread! Cute area on top of a hill! A little far for walking from downtown in the heat, so maybe want to drive. A little pricey.

Fabulous dinner with gluten free bread service & gluten free pizza. Other members of our family enjoyed the regular pizza as well. Great service & atmosphere.

Omg! This was the best pasta place I have eaten at.

Wow! We were excited to see a Gluten “safe” menu, order from a waitress who knew what celiac was without being asked, and they even had GF bread with oil just like you would get bread at any Italian restaurant. I can’t remember the last time my kids felt so normal. Thank you Tony’s!

I have celiacs and eat here all the time. They have a ton of options and have a separate gluten free menu. Their gluten free flatbreads and pastas are delicious, and I’ve never felt sick after eating here.

Loved Tony's before having to be gluten free so I was a little worried going back. The waiter was very reassuring and I had a terrific experience. The flatbread is pretty tasty and reminds me of pita.
Excellent food and service. Very celiac friendly!

Great place to eat if you have celiacs. Gluten free pizza is made by well trained staff that understand procedures for producing a safe product. Sauces for pizza and pasta are kept in separate containers. Gluten free pasta is not cooked in the same water as regular pasta. Gluten free tongs, utensils and cutting boards are kept separated from regular ones to prevent cross contamination. Sauces are made from scratch and no flour is used to thicken any of them. The regular bread is baked in a separate facility which reduces loose flour in the kitchen. I eat here regularly and have never gotten sick.

First, each table was automatically given GF menu along with a regular menu. We both that that was a pretty nice thing to do! My husband is GF and I am not and we both had plenty of options! We started out with the GF bruschetta as an appetizer which was delicious. It was served on GF pita bread which was really good. As the nonGF person I highly recommend trying the complimentary homemade bread they brought (they asked if it was okay), it was fantastic. My husband got the GF eggplant Parmesan that was served with a side of spaghetti. He LOVED the Parmesan, and said the spaghetti was good also good but he has had too spaghetti before so it wasn’t as much of a “wow” moment. I had a crawfish Alfredo dish that was awesome (cant remember the name) but I saw it was also an option on the GF menu as well. Highly recommend and the prices were REALLY reasonable.
Food was cold, found 2 hairs on my plate/in my food that were not mine. Server brought huge plate of regular bread. Just not a great experience here.
MANY gluten-free options- all delicious!

I went on my birthday a few weeks ago and decided to try the pasta, which I never get. It was for sure GF pasta and it was delicious but I still got sick. No one told me the pasta is cooked in the same water as regular pasta. But I guess other servers have told their guest this, mine just didn't feel it was necessary even after mentioning I have CD. Not sure I'll be back after this last visit.
No
The staff was super nice. The flat bread was good. The gf pasta is cooked in the same water as regular pasta so I opted not to get it. I got a salmon salad instead that tasted good and passed the Nima test.
Separate menu with lots of choices! Very rare for Italian. I’m not celiac so I didn’t ask about contamination. The GF flatbread appetizer option is terrific, as is having something I can nosh on while my family scarfs on sourdough. I did “make your own pasta” as my entree- delicious and large portion! (I’m stuffed!) Would eat here regularly if we were local!
Amazing! GF pasta was so good that it made me nervous eating it. Can’t say enough good things about Tony’s!
Yes
I’m basing my “celiac friendly” status on previous posts as well as the fact that the general manager has celiac. The food was amazing and the gluten-free menu was a whole menu front AND back!! It was so good I ordered a second meal to take home with me.

We were passing through Chattanooga and found this little gem of a restaurant. It was amazing to say the least! Most restaurants offer bread with a meal but never offer GF bread! This one did, and it was the best GF flatbread we've ever had! We asked our server if we could purchase one to take with us and we were so pleased that we were able to. My husband had the GF chicken tetrazzini and enjoyed every bite of it.
