When you order, mention that you have celiac or an allergy. They will use a dedicated “allergy scoop” and will open a fresh tub of ice cream for you. If you’re dairy free, they have italian ices as well!

They have full nutritional info for every ice cream flavor and if you get an "allergy scoop" they make the whole thing in the back away from any cross contamination.

They took extreme caution- opened new tubs of ice cream, washed the scoopers, and opened a new pack of spoons. I was impressed. Ice cream is delicious !!

Delicious ice cream. They have an allergen list and take precautions against cross contamination: change gloves, open new container of ice cream, use new scoop, plastic spoon taken from separate box. I actually saw a new employee being trained on how to handle my order and was impressed. Go Huskies!

I took my two toddlers here and had the best experience!!! Not only is the ice cream delicious but the students that were working there were so knowledgable and amazing. The chocolate ice cream literally had half a scoop taken out of it but they insisted on pulling out a brand new bucket to scoop ours from. They also brought out unopened toppings for my girls as well as spoons right from the box. It is very clear that this is normal procedure here - so pleased to find a place that really understands the severity of allergies and has trained their staff so well on the importance of preventing cross contamination. I was really really impressed with how careful they were and will definitely be visiting again.

If you want great ice cream, this is the place to go in Storrs. They have an ingredients list for each flavor and whether they contain wheat or gluten among other allergens. Friendly, helpful staff. You can get a bowl with a child scoop, 1, 2, or 3 scoops. The child scoop is a normal scoop at most other shops. One scoop is about a half pint, so a 2 scoop bowl is about a pint of ice cream. We had mint choc chip, strawberry cheesecake, coffee espresso crunch, choc peanut butter swirl, and black raspberry. It was all great. They also sell the ice cream at the Blue Cow in the UConn student union.
