This place is great!! I have celiac disease and went to USC. Having Maddios across the street from my dorm was my saving grace (I got gluten the 3rd day I was in college from the dining hall!). They are very knowledgeable and incredibly safe. There's a lot of transparency because you can watch them make it. I'm extremely sensitive and this is one of the only pizza places I still trust!

Celiac here! I was eating here with a colleague and I requested the gluten free crust and my colleague got a regular crust. The employee behind the counter said he was going to prep mine first to avoid CC as much as possible and immediately changed his gloves. He prepped my pizza on a newly sanitized tray rather than directly on the counter and used "allergy" toppings, which are kept under the counter in sealed containers so that flour particles don't get in them. The pizza was also baked on a separate tray. As an added benefit, this was easily the best gluten free pizza I've ever had - and I've tried them all! 10/10 highly recommend.- just wish there were one closer to home!

The pizza was excellent and the staff was incredibly attentive to GF needs. They even took the trouble to come outside and save us from paying for parking meters on a weekend afternoon (nothing to do with gluten, but a great indication of caring for customers as people--kudos for that). Separate GF stores of toppings for the pizza too.

Very knowledgable staff. Most toppings are not gluten free but I could still get a pizza with gluten free chicken and buffalo sauce on top.

Really good gluten free pizza. Only disappointment was no gluten free sausage or pepperoni. They are very conscientious about contamination.

Great tasting pizza and fun place to eat. Only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because many of their toppings are not GF. For example the pepperoni is not GF. So just be warned to check topping GF list before building your pizza.

Flagged as not celiac friendly because they did not appear to use different pizza trays or cooking space.

Went to Uncle Maddio's after seeing it on this app! I have not had pizza since being gluten free. Wow! Not only was the pizza delicious, but the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about food allergies. Will be returning often!

We stopped here on a road trip through the area. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about their policies for avoiding cross contamination. My celiac three year old loved her pizza. It was one of the best gf crusts we've tried. This place was very family friendly. We would stop here again if back in the area.

This place is amazing. We don't live in Cola but have to be at the children's hospital often with my little boy. My husband has to run and find me gluten free food daily which is difficult. This pizza was amazing and they even sent me a free gluten free dessert when they learned we were in the hospital. Most importantly, it tasted great and I didn't get sick. They are very knowledgeable and careful. I will eat there again for sure!

The gentleman who waited on us explained to me how they do things (they change their gloves, different pans, utensils, etc). When I told him I also have a dairy allergy he was able to let me know what else I couldn't have on my pizza. This is one of the few places I have been that I felt confident in the abilities of those who made my food. We live over an hour away but we will be back again!!

Had a horrible experience with gluten free pizza about 5 years ago so I was taking a risk by going here but their pizza was delicious!! really wish I had known about this place sooner!

New favorite pizza place!!!! They have very gluten educated and friendly staff, and their food is delicious. They have their menu marked with gluten free options- they have gluten free pizza dough, most of their salad dressings and pizza sauces are gluten free, they have gluten free meats marked, and they have a gluten free dessert! They even had a separate spinach bag so that there isn't cross-contamination. Also, they have a take and bake option, which is great.

The pizza here is great. We ordered 3 different pizzas and did not have any reaction by our one family member that is Celiac. Just be sure to let the staff know and they can help you out.

What a great find. All the reviews were spot on. tried the bbq chicken pizza and it was delicious. My non GF family loved the food too. The staff was friendly and so courteous. Wish there was one in PA

There are so many unknowledgeable restaurant staff out there when it comes to gluten free, but not at Uncle Maddio's Pizza. I was so impressed! Staff were very knowledgeable and explained to us every step they take to prevent cross-contamination with wheat. They are very thorough. The pizza was completely gluten free. Will definitely go back.

Best gluten free pizza crust in town! Staff is very knowledgable about gluten free toppings as well. You can even have a "take and bake" pizza prepared. We will definitely be back.

Great dinner while visiting Highpoint University. Counter service and great efforts with safety precautions. When we told them it was for celiac, they wiped down all counters, changed gloves, and pulled out all fresh topping containers from inventory. Pizzas were really tasty on thin crisp crust. We tried the chicken bbq and margarita pizza. They also had David’s GF brownies!

Stopped by after a visit with my kiddo to the Discovery Place nearby. Located in a strip mall. Fairly quiet when we arrived and the person helping us was super nice. He immediately said he’d change gloves, offered to grab ingredients from below, and was very helpful. They offer gf crust and gf cauliflower crust. I had gf and it was crunchy and tasty. Good spot for a faster bite to eat.
