I love having a dedicated vegan and GF place in the area. The food is pretty tasty, but there’s room for improvement. The Mac and cheese was very heavy on the nutritional yeast flavor.

Amazing food and it was so nice to eat somewhere and have no anxiety about getting glutened since everything is 100% GF! The Philly “cheesesteak” was so delicious!

Great food. A little pricey. Service very indifferent. But I still recommend highly . I live in the Midwest and come visit my son in college. I dream of their nachos, pizza, crab dip and more. They have gf IPA. Just ok wine. But again it’s all about the food and delicious baked goods.

My husband and I had a great experience. I love eating at a restaurant knowing I can have everything on the menu without the worry of getting sick. We ordered the caesar salad, mac & cheese and Italian pizza. My husband has no allergies and greatly enjoyed the caesar salad and pizza with me. I was not a fan of the mac & cheese, but my husband said it was not bad. We also got a variety of desserts to take home and try. We both would skip those next time as they were too sweet for us. Yes it is on the pricier side however, it being fully gluten-free dairy free and all organic the price is understandable.

I’ve eaten here 5 or 6 times. It is a completely gluten free vegan restaurant. The service is always top notch, delicious desserts and amazing satisfying entrees. The pizzas are quick and a little less expensive. But the lasagna or mushroom tempeh sandwich are supper hearty treats. The cauliflower Buffalo wings are super rich and yummy to share. They once had a special if gnocchi with wild mushrooms that was to die for, my gluten loving carnivore husband loved it too. I can’t leave without taking home a few of the house made seasonal truffles. It’s a little pricy, but worth every penny for such healthy thoughtful and tasty food.

Delicious food and wonderful staff. Everything is gluten-free, vegan, and organic. I overheard the waitress speaking to a celiac customer and she said that even the staff are asked to not bring in food that contains gluten to help keep the space 100% gluten free. Definitely go here!

The food is safe so I’ll give it that but I’m really bummed by almost everything about this place. First of all, it’s SO EXPENSIVE. A tiny Caesar salad is like $22. A single breakfast burrito was $20, no sides or salad just a small burrito. A small plate of like 7 cauliflower wings is $23. And it’s not like an upscale, fancy place. Everything just seems unnecessarily expensive and you don’t get what you pay for.

The service isn’t great and every time we come it takes like 25-30 minutes to get our food even when there are two other tables.

The food tastes good but for all of the cons, we only come here because it’s dedicated and if there were more dedicated options in Tacoma, we would never come here.

Amazing dedicated GF, Vegan and Organic (as much as possible). Friendly, knowledgeable staff! Mexi-Mac (Monday) is recommended! The garlic bread was awesome as well!

I have eaten here at least 10 to 15 times and I have never gotten sick. The staff are always wonderful, kind and courteous. The entire restaurant is dedicated vegan and gluten-free. They just updated the menu as well and added some more wonderful dishes to it. I’ve brought many non-vegan, non-gluten-free people to this restaurant, and everyone of them has been very happy with the quality of the food and the taste of the food as well. It is prepared daily in-house, including all the sauces and dips as well. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant.

Absolutely amazing. So nice to be somewhere I can eat just about everything on the menu. Everything is gluten free and vegan and all other common allergens are listed and staff is very knowledgeable about the ingredients of every dish. Portions are extremely generous. Can’t wait to go back!

100% gluten free. So many great plant based options. I am not vegan/vegetarian, but the food is still good and I will definitely be visiting again. I have eaten here numerous times. Never gotten sick.

Delicious food, courteous wait-staff, healthy options. Everything we had was tasty - buffalo cauliflower wings, garlic bread, raw enchiladas, and green curry. If we lived in Tacoma we would be regulars - we’ll have to come back and visit! The owner seems very interested in providing safe, healthy options for customers. Great experience and I love knowing the food is all safe for celiacs. We’re ordering some dessert to-go, too - can’t wait to enjoy it when we are less full!

Very good vegan and fully gluten-free. Delicious full menu and lots of deserts.

Enjoyed Taco Tuesday and wrapped up with a raspberry brownie sandwich for dessert.

For a family with a number of food allergies ranging from celiac disease, to allergies and sensitivities to nuts and dairy, finding a place like this was absolutely a treat. The service was amazing and the food was spectacular, so much so that my kids said "it was super super duper good!" We have only ever found one other restaurant like this and it was in Southern California and they did not have the dessert menu like this place. We are incredibly thrilled to know that a place like this is within an hour of where we live. Trust me when I say we will be back, many times. Thank you for making such a great restaurant with healthy ingredients!

Normally this place is amazing! However, the staff were not educated on allergies this time around and could not confirm what ingredients are for other food allergies.

I’m all for supporting dedicated gf and vegan places, but this one’s a bit tricky. Service was very slow, menu wasn’t updated, prices seemed a bit steep, and my sandwich was soggy and fell apart. Positives: flavor was good and the sweet potato fries were GREAT! Maybe they have some outstanding dishes that I did not encounter.

Food was just okay. Definitely overpriced. My family tried the Grickle, Black Bean Burger, Pineapple Fried Rice and Lemon Poppyseed Cheesecake, not great. The BBQ Cauliflower “wings” were decent. The only thing I really liked was the breakfast Vegetable Hash. No gluten issues, but felt like it was a big waste of money and wouldn’t go back again.

Love the concept of this restaurant, me and my dad have celiac and were excited to eat here. the service was ok, but took over an hour to get the food. my friend who is very allergic to nuts informed the waitress of her allergy. she ordered the chai tea, had two sips and her throat and lips became itchy. she had to run to the safeway near by to get benadryl. the waitress later apologize saying that there was cashew milk in it. the food on the other hand didn’t live up to the price, the bread came out burnt and the brussel sprouts weee overly saturated with oil. even though they said it’s all ‘gluten free’ me and my dad both had stomach aches/allergic reactions after we got done dining here. i don’t think this restaurant is ‘certified gluten free’ and it’s not worth the time or money.

Amazing food, wonderful staff! The Nacho Supreme will knock your socks off. The pizza crust is delicious and the carrot cake is mouth watering. Everything had rich, fresh flavor.

Mac and cheese sauce was bad, noodles mushed together. The salad and Cesar dressing was average. The bbq jackfruit sandwhich was the best thing I tried.

Great to have a completely dedicated gluten free facility as an option for celiac, but wish they had maybe a regular pizza, or a better Max and cheese option. Harlow in Portland is to die for - they should go plankton style and steal the recipe ;)

I love Viva. I am not a vegan, but it is one of the few gluten free places in Tacoma. The owner won't even allow employees to bring in their lunch if it contains gluten. There is no risk of cross contamination at all. I love the lemon doodle cookies, the Mexican scramble (breakfast) and the grickle pizza.

Was really disappointed with the food - very bland and tasteless. The potato and leek soup was not even edible. The nacho were better but still nothing spectacular. The staff were really friendly.

Meat eaters too will love this incredible restaurant. Celiac safe dedicated GF, accommodates other allergies too. Nachos are a meal by itself. Thai Peanut Stir Fry is phenomenal, SW Black Bean Burger incredible. Generous portions, fresh, delicious. Friendly staff. Save room for Snicker Doodle and Choc Chip Cookies! Will be back in a heartbeat.

UPDATE 09.2019: portions were much less than our first 2 visits 06.2019. Hope it's a one-off and not the norm.

The Grinkle GF pizza is the best pizza I’ve had in 9 years! My two celiac daughters agreed. The whole Resteraunt is GF and vegan. My non celiac son loved the crab dip pizza and my husband loved the Father’s Day BQ ribs special. The both are very picky.

Been too long for this type of food. I came from out of town are there. Got a tummy ache but the food is just rich. It was delicious. I got a couple of things to go. Will eaten for lunch today.

This place was delightful. Between my non-gf husband and me, we ate the tamari ginger cauliflower wings, jackfruit brisket pizza, broccoli mac and “cheese”, beer, kombucha, carrot cake and chocolate mousse torte. Everything they make is vegan and gf. Even non vegans like us had a super meal and experience.
