Easily my favorite place in Geneva. They always ask if I have Celiac disease when I order, and I have never once gotten sick from eating here despite being VERY sensitive to cross contamination. You aren’t limited ordering here either, and can even get gluten free French toast and pancakes!

A very good Cafe with excellent food for a good price. They have amazing tasting gluten free options and coffee. It had a separate section on the menu for gluten free options, but it said that almost everything could be ordered gluten free. When I ordered the gluten free pancakes they asked if I was celiac and, even though I'm not, if I wanted my food to be cooked on a separate griddle. They take everything very seriously and the staff is amazing.

This was a nice and busy diner on a Sunday morning, extremely standard diner breakfast fare. They have either a separate/gluten free griddle or a dedicated section of the griddle (I'm not sure which). They also have a separate/gluten free toaster. Most of the menu can be made gluten free except the sausage gravy (which is a dang shame). They used Schar brand bread for the toast and french toast we got. For gluten free, it was pretty cheap; $25+tip for 2.

GF toast, pancakes, French toast. Separate griddle area and toaster. Quick service, large portions, very fair prices. Delicious diner style breakfast and no illness from gluten for myself and my mom (also celiac).

We came here on a weekday morning and had a great experience. The server seemed well versed in Celiac safe food. There is a gluten free section on the menu, but they also note that most everything can be prepared gluten free upon request. There is a separate area (griddle) for gluten free food. We saw the line cook change his gloves. We ordered gluten free pancakes, bacon, and eggs. They were even able to make the Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes from the kids menu for our children. Our very sensitive celiac daughter had no reaction. I was happy with the taste and texture of the gluten free pancakes. Service was fast and friendly. We will definitely frequent the Water Street Cafe for their diner breakfasts!

Server knew what gluten free was when I brought it up! Spoke about celiacs before I said anything. Ate the gluten free pancakes and bacon and did not get sick. Food was very good

Just your basic little, hole in the wall, diner. But they do gluten free right! If you have Celiac, they will cook your food on a separate grill. Their hash browns are really good. I just had eggs, hash browns and bacon. Simple, but it was delicious and I would recommend going!

Friendly knowledgeable staff. Food is excellent! There’s a lot of options and a separate grill for GF. Owner makes fresh GF muffins daily. Highly recommend a visit!

They offer gluten free breakfast foods, eggs, toast, pancakes, French toast and blueberry muffins. Food is cooked on separate griddle and toast made in dedicated toaster. Typical little hole in the wall diner with friendly staff. Owner is wonderful too. Prices were avaerage.

Absolutely love this place! Small diner feel with amazing GF options. The staff were wonderful and very knowledgeable about the menu! The GF French toast was incredible! Even got a GF blueberry muffin for the road!
My SIL is GF, so finding restaurants can be difficult. Was happy to learn that they have a separate griddle for GF and staff is very familiar with what celiac is and aware of cross contamination. Spoke with the cashier and told her we only came in because of the separate griddle and she told us that she just replaced it because it had broken. Glad she did!
Good food and no running to the bathroom for anyone.

We have traveled to Geneva, NY many times and Water Street Cafe is a must go to. I have never had an issue eating at this fabulous diner. They take careful consideration when they know your GF request is a must and not a preference. Highly recommend it...best breakfast food in Geneva.
I had bacon eggs and toast for breakfast, was told it was all cooked separately and would be all gluten-free, including the toast, so I believed there was no cross-contamination. They have specific menu items that are gluten-free and told me everything would be cooked separate. Within an hour I had a slamming headache which is my reaction to gluten. I spent the next six hours in bed and I'm disappointed to say my delicious breakfast was contaminated.
No
Staff really go out of their way to ensure no cross-contamination. I had the paleo breakfast special with udi's whole grain bread. Everything was made in a separate area. Highly recommend!
