We went in and ordered pizzas earlier this week. After asking a bunch of questions about preparation, I decided it was safe. The person taking my order yelled back to his coworkers to wash their hands and get toppings from the walk-in for my pizza. I got a large chicken/bacon/ranch pizza, which was tasty and cooked well. (And they have two sizes of GF crust—I was really thrown off when they asked what size I wanted lol.) No reactions afterward and lots of leftovers—it’s great to have safe and tasty pizza while traveling.

Disregard the old reviews from years ago - I eat here consistently now and I’m super sensitive and have never had issues. Best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had šš» specify you’re celiac and they will pull all their ingredients from fresh containers.

Delicious pizza and the GF crust was pretty good (standard thin style but not too dry at least).

Was in San Antonio for my daughter's dance competition, and felt like pizza. Found Garlic Jim's through this app, and gave it a try. It was delicious! I ordered mine with no cheese because I have issue with the whey protein in dairy, although they do have a vegan alternative. Very accommodating, great service, delicious! My non-celiac friend ordered her pizza on a regular crust, and really enjoyed her meal as well.

Amazing experience! We have celiac disease and egg allergy to deal with. Staff was very educated, patient and helpful. Enjoyed 2 different combo gluten free pizzas and they were both amazing and no negative effects. Will be our go to pizza place! Thank you!

My 3 celiac family eats Garlic Jim’s pizza often and we have not gotten sick. I’m not sure if they did not do this previously, given the negative reviews, but at least this location uses corn meal as the flour on all of their pizzas to help prevent cross-contamination. They have a gluten free thin crust pizza that is pretty good.

Gluten free thin crust. They are GIG certified. Never been glutened, and we order from here every few weeks.

Our daughter is celiac and after eating here was super sick! :-(. I don’t think the message got to the cook and there was cross-contamination!
No
My fav pizza and they are very careful! Actually tastes like pizza and they use GF flour on all their pizzas.
Yes
We heard of their gluten free pizza and tried one. It tasted great, but I was ill fairly quickly. Note their kitchen is NOT a dedicated space and like most pizza places, everything is covered in flour and they have a shared oven. Food is great, but I wouldn’t recommend it for those with Celiac.
No
Really good pizza and cheesy garlic bread. The cheesecake is really amazing. Most of the menu can be gluten free. We'll be going back.
Yes
I have celiac and I’m a diabetic so it’s good to have gluten free pizzaš
Yes
The staff was very knowledgeable about celiac and cross contamination. The owner came out and spoke with me about their procedures. Everyone was very nice. The pizza was excellent!! Definitely will be coming back!
I have eaten at garlic Jim’s in Redmond and Bothell for years and never gotten sick. First time ordering from this location in Tacoma and I got really sick. Would not trust them for celiac’s.
No
The food is delicious. I have celiac and get sick every time I order. There must be cross contamination. I am disappointed and didn’t want to believe it but it is true.

The service is as expected, pretty good! But the main reason our family only orders from Garlic Jim's is because of the delicious and full sized gluten free pizzas. The gluten free crust is not udis brand like almost every other pizza joint, it is their own Garlic Jim's official pizza crust. One of the main reasons that we don't buy take out pizza any more is because of the price, your total adds up incredibly quick if you want to buy more than one pizza. So, if you have some money to spend and a great appetite get Garlic Jim's gluten free pizza!
Great pizza. Fast, friendly and gluten free.
Yes
Pizza (GF) tasted great! They do declare that they prepare the food in the same area where non-GF pizza is also prepared for those with really bad allergic reactions.
Yes
Recently diagnosed with celiac and my first time eating out. The pizza was absolutely great. Will see if I get reaction by tomorrow. Hopefully not as I would like to make GJs a regular.
Yes
love that we can get pizza delivered to the house and it tastes good! GF pizza made in dedicated prep area. Only flour in the kitchen is gluten free used for either either type of pizza dough in the prep area / counter. You pay a little extra but I think it's worth it.
yummy, Kim the owner is super friendly, and celiac safe!
Great GF pizza and no reactions! Yay!
I am celiac and have never had a reaction from thier food! it is so nice to be able to order pizza and know that it is safe for me to eat, affordable, and delicious!
Used same toppings and dishes and no separate prep area. Very misleading.
No
Do not trust them to be truly gluten free. If you have celiac this is not a safe place to eat. My daughter and I both had terrible reactions to the cross-contamination!

Staff is friendly and understands gluten free requirements for Celiacs disease. Best pizza in town and they make a large for more than one individual. š

I love their GF crust.. flavorful and it's a "normal" size... not that teeny Udi's crust you get from the national chains at the same price. (grrr) I like that I can share with my family. Staff is always accommodating, they deliver, and you can use their coupons/deals on GF (also unlike the national chains).
Was traveling through the area and decided to try this GF pizza. Sadly it was food for the evening but not that great. Burned crust, soaking in cheese and pepperoni oil - no flavor at all in the crust. Maybe made from potato flour?!&?
No
We love their herb crust. They toss all their dough in gluten free flour which is really nice. I reacted the first time, but we let them know the gluten free pizza is for those really sensitive to gluten and they have opened all new packages for the toppings.

The first couple of times my husband and I had Garlic Jims gluten free pizza, it was amazing. For some reason every time we go back to either location, the pizza tastes horrible, and I've been glutened a couple of times. We have given up on this place.

The best GF Pizza in town!!! The staff is very friendly.
Yes
Best gf pizza crust I've had so far. Only problem is I've felt symptoms the last few times I've gotten their pizza. One of the last times I was there the person at the register handed me the pizza with his hands/arms coated in flour. Yes I was sick after eating it, but it tasted delicious. Wish I could go back, but better to be safe.
I really love their pizza! A bonus for me is that they even have dairy free cheese. I give them 4 out of 5 because they are sometimes out of the dairy free cheese.
Really great pizza! The guy who helped us knew about gluten allergies and ask me about my sensitivity level. I would definitely go back.
Eaten there twice without getting sick. They don't use cornmeal for their GF crust, either, which is a bonus. A little pricey if you get their gourmet pizza, but a large cheese and mushroom was 18. Nice that they have small, medium, and large pizza. They prepare the pizza in a separate space.

They are not safe with cross contamination. Last time I went there I got sick and got my blood drawn and my numbers were off. It was the only place I had eaten, other than my house. It tasted good, but if you are on a strict gluten free diet or have celiac disease I do not recommend going there.
I went to pick up a pizza and didn't. I don't consider it to be gluten free with shared toppings, work area, and equipment and flour being tossed around.
No
They use all different utensils and everything here, I have yet to get sick. And their pizza is delicious!

For some reason, this place has glutened me every single time (I am Celiac). I have called to speak with management at the location and was very unsatisfied with the exchange. Didn't seem like the manager knew a thing about what I was asking, which seems odd given the GIG certification requirements. At least the Kirkland location has always fed me safely, so we go out of our way to get it there instead of 2 miles from our house. Anyone else had problems with this Bothell location??
Had the GF Gourmet Hawaiian pizza ~ canadian bacon, pineapple, coconut, & almond slivers. Crust was tasty, rest of pizza was ok. As others have noted, their price is a bit high...$3 extra charge for GF. They were very busy so service was a bit slow. Mgr offered free beverage though for the wait. A few hours after eating, I found myself to be VERY thirsty, so there must have been a lot of salt in the pizza. This place is mostly take-out, although they do have a small "waiting area" for you to actually eat there (about 8 stools). When staff was questioned about cross contamination, they responded by saying that they are very careful to not cross contaminate, which is great because they are GIG trained.
