Enjoyed an amazing meal on April 27th. The sevice was amazing, the ambience charming, and the portions are very generous. Mike toook great care of us. The service by everone, from beverages to bringing the food, was great on Saturday. There are many gluten-free options to chose from: they even have a separate fryer and do their best to avoid cross contamination. The staff understands celiac disease as the owner's mom has celiac. Mike told us that at over 90% of their tables, at least one patron at each table needs gluten-free options. There is a separate gluten-free menu where the price marked includes the charge for Udi's options. My significant other and I came here as we were in the area. We ordered gluten-free options: the creamy crab soup, the crab topped tator tots with cheese and Old Bay seasoning. I chose the gluten-free crab cake entrée and chose sweet potato tots and maple-bacon brussel sprouts. For dessert we shared the gluten-free caramel cheesecake with a walnut crust. Strongly recommend Alexander's Tavern. We will be back.

I did DoorDash and called to let them know my concern with ordering online to double check they had marked a gluten allergy down. I ordered a crab cake sandwich on GF bread and fries and a pesto margarita pizza for the next day. It was all so good and so nice to be able to comfortably order.

Came to town for a concert, first time visiting Baltimore. Always nervous when traveling that I won’t be able to eat anything other than snacks.

I will be thinking about AT until the next time I visit Baltimore. Came for dinner before the concert and split the Maryland Crab Tots with my husband. They were incredible! Dedicated gluten free fryer to ensure no cross contamination. I had the Maryland burger with broccoli as a side, which was awesome because I don’t always love to eat all fried food!

Came back for brunch on Sunday morning, great coffee, great service. Had the veggie omelet which hit the spot!

This was my second time here and I actually forgot I was here the first time until I walked in. The server was very knowledgeable about gluten sensitivities and that the food needed to be prepared separately. I had the BBQ pulled pork with gf bread and tots were great! This place was so amazing when I visited a year or so ago that I had to visit again this trip. It’s a must-have in the area. The owner has Celiac and the staff are very knowledgeable about our needs. Plus. The food is amazing. Couldn’t ask for better crab soup or crab cakes. And the staff are friendly to boot! So. I went back - because, yes, it’s that good! I did soup and sandwich the other day. Tonight I got the Balmer pizza with no tomatoes. So delicious! You must visit here if you’re in the area.

Very nice place to eat. I ordered to go. I have ate there several times now and tried different things. I have an allergy to dairy, gluten and sulfa. I got fried chicken tenders that were amazing. So crunchy. I was scared I had eaten both gluten and dairy lol. I got there buffalo wings, they have many flavors, crab cake platter (not as good as it used to be and too salty), fries are fresh cut, homemade. The crabmeat stuffed crab tots my kids love, I cant eat the dairy and they have df gf fried shrimp Yum. They also have several sandwich options etc. The food is just good. I have not had 1 bad experience.

This place was great. They asked right off the bat if we needed a GF menu which is such a nice change from every other place. Lots of GF items. Split the crab tots with the wife and they were delicious. For the main i got the Maryland Burger and it was just as good. Highly recommend Alexanders.

It was so good and the service was great. I had the shrimp poboy. However, a 20% gratuity was added for me. As a former server who tips very well, this rubs me the wrong way. I was planning on tipping between 2-3x more but didn't because of this and likely will not be coming back. It was the middle of the day and I am one person. There was no reason to not treat me as a responsible adult and with respect. It was unfortunate.

Visited Baltimore for the Orioles playoff game and this was my first trip navigating how and where to eat. From my research this place came highly recommended so we made to walk to Fella point to give it a try and it did not disappoint!! Wait staff was friendly and understood my needs and they have a very large gluten free menu!! I got the crab dip tots and fried shrimp with French fries!!! You would never know it was not gluten free as everything was delicious. They also flagged each plate I ordered which helped put me at ease with their precautions. Would 100% recommend for celiacs.

Alexander’s Tavern is a delightful restaurant and bar in the Fell’s Point neighborhood of Baltimore. It’s a reasonable walk from the East Harbor hotels and from the Water Taxi landing. Almost everything on the menu can be prepared GF. The GF menu includes paninis, burgers, pizzas, crab cakes, crab soup, and a variety of their legendary Tots. Server was very pleasant and knowledgeable about GF. GF menu items came with a wooden marker flag . Nice variety of ciders, too. Just wish this place was closer to home; can’t wait to go back!

Been wanting to try this place for some time. It’s neatly tucked away in the district with a cool atmosphere and super friendly staff. Immediately asked if I was there for gluten free and then handed me a two page menu of food choices. A bonus … they carry two GF beers (Glutenberg IPA from Canada and CEAL IPA from a local MD brewery). Had the crab tots, fried shrimp, and fries. Ordered pizza, and tavern nachos to go. All of the food was delicious and clearly marked with GF wooden sticks or stickers. Staff understands celiac disease and cross contamination processes. Will definitely be making the trip back soon!

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Baltimore. They staff are INCREDIBLE, the food is so great, and I always feel safe eating here. The gf and non gf menus have many options, and my non gf friends love it here too! Food comes out marked gluten free. They have a dedicated space in their kitchen and dedicated fryers. I believe the owner has celiac disease and all staff members are very knowledgeable about it. I’ve been here several times and it never disappoints. One time my food came out unmarked and was clearly not gf (regular bun on a burger). The chef came out to apologize and they made me a new meal asap. They handled the situation very well- mistakes happen! Despite this, I continue to eat here because I know it’s safe and they take it extremely seriously. Love it here!!!

Gluten free crab cakes! The bread here is Udi’s, which isn’t my favorite, but it was worth it to have a crab cake sandwich! Awesome service and cute little restaurant. Tons of gluten free options.

Such good reviews for a reason 💯 seriously amazing service and delicious pub-style food. They were so kind to my partner and I when we were delayed to our reservation thanks to late buses & made us feel right at home!

The food exceeded any expectations I had. The service was excellent. I highly recommend the crab tots and crab dip. The bread with the crab dip was delicious. I will definitely make this a go to spot on our yearly visits to Baltimore. I wish there were more restaurants who have stepped up for the celiac community the way this one has.

Knowledgeable staff and they have a dedicated fryer. Great pub vibes with GF crab cakes as well. Get the tots and they had a GF brownie that wasn’t on the menu.
