This is our go-to fast food place. Our first choice by far. They have several options and a GF fryer. So you can get GF fries here. We have been eating here for years and my daughter who us Celiac has never gotten sick. Her favorite is the GF chicken dinner.

Watched as they prepared my gluten free burger along side 3 other gluten burgers. (At least they put a paper down for mine rather than directly on the counter like the others) Didn’t change gloves. While the cook was warming my bun up in the microwave (points here for not using the gluten grill) he reached over and grabbed 2 pieces of gluten bread and put them in the toaster located directly above the prep area to make toast for another sandwich, then proceeded to finish assembling the 4 burgers. We went on a Monday at 11:30. Not terribly busy. I stated when ordering that I had a “Gluten Allergy” (easier that way) and was assured it would be safe. Needless to say, I picked off the patty and very reluctantly ate it without the bun that had been handled with very gluten covered hands. I understand this is not a gluten free establishment. But I think that if offer gluten free, they need to train the cooks to not cross contaminate in every literal way possible.

This has been so amazing to find! I have celiac and have had no issues. Gluten free chicken fingers are amazing, fries are in a separate fryer. Their gluten free buns are great too!

I'm pretty sure I got gluttened -- I react slowly but it has been a long time since I've been gluttened and this was the only place I ate out. I watched the lady loading the trays to go to customers touching the fries due to the way she handled them as they were moved around the kitchen. I tried asking questions and was kind of brushed off that they know what they're doing.

My husband went in here last week to check things out for me and spoke to owner. Come to find out owners wife is celiac and that's why they started doing gf products and were very careful about CC. My husband watched their precautions as they made my food and everything checked out great. I had a massive craving for burger and fries and this place was my go to for amazing fries. Anyway I ordered and watched them make my food. 5 people touched my burger, not 1 changed their gloves or took any precautions to prevent CC. The fry lady couldn't decide how to split the bag of fries and kept moving them back and forth and switching fries from gf side to gluten side, she then proceeded to dump fries in their side of the fry container (don't know what that area is called) reached over to the other side and grab the fry scoop, scoop my fries and set them next to the other fries. I asked for a refund of my food and was given that but they didn't care why I asked for a refund. I made it out to my car before bawling. This was the 1st time I ever cried about food, it was dangled in my face and then pulled back. If you're sensitive to CC don't eat here.

I eat here a lot. I feel more confident about their gluten free fryers than others. They are always good to label “gluten free” on my receipt. However, I recommend going inside to order if you have people in your party that aren’t gluten free as they don’t label the gluten free item.

I ordered gluten-free chicken strips and luckily I happened to be watching when a worker handled onion rings and then scooped up my chicken fingers without changing gloves. We asked them to redo it and the manager did, but I have little confidence that they will do so without being watched. Pretty disappointing.

I just found out that they have GF chicken strips and they are delicious. If you are graving breaded chicken this is the place. They have a dedicated fryer so pretty much the chicken and fries come straight out of the fryer to your table delicious and hot.

Absolutely amazing. Delicious, huge pastrami burger. Buns aren’t as amazing as Red Robin but still great. Their fries are the best ever, and they come with an extra yellow wrapper so you know they’re gluten free. And your order is on a separate tray.

Most anything can be ordered gluten free. They have good gluten free buns. They said they would change their gloves and place a barrier down on the counter to prepare my food. They have a dedicated gluten free fryer. The person I was with ordered regular, gluten items. They served us on separate trays and everything was marked clearly in different colored packaging. We were going to share a gluten free fry, but when I picked up the order, the fries were on the regular, gluten tray. I asked about it, and it sounded like there was a bit of confusion about our order, but they let us keep that fry and immediately said they'd give me a fresh gluten free fry delivered to our table. The manager was very friendly, on top of things, knowledgeable about gluten free diet and products, and overall great service at this store. I enjoyed the food and as a Celiac patient, did not get sick.

I am traveling through and read the reviews and it seemed like something I should try.
Immediately when I walked in I was greeted and asked what I would like to order. I explained that I had celiac and was told about all the precautions. The oil is used for fries only so there is no cross contamination as well as the buns are individually wrapped by UDI (yes they are soft)!
I let them order for me and said “make me something that will bring me back”! They did! Pastrami on a burger with fries and no worries about cross contamination = success and a full belly!

This is the best gluten free fast food! YUM. They have the best gluten free bun, it taste better than most buns with gluten. They have gluten free French fries, buns, and chicken tenders. You can get a gluten feee grilled cheese for kids too! The owner has a friend with celiac who tests all of their GF food. My husband has celiac and he has never gotten sick here.

Staff was knowledgeable about GF the bun for my Astro Burger held up well will need to try other options on my next visit after a few more visit I should be able to make an opinion about lowering or raising the star rating

I love the burgers and fries here at Astro Burgers. I’m new to the Gluten Free lifestyle. So very nervous to eat out at restaurants. I pulled up this app and saw that Astro Burgers had a pretty high rating. Thought I’d give their Gluten free menu a try. I asked about their gluten free options and they were very knowledgeable about their options. I had the bacon burger with a GF bun which was tastier than I anticipated. They do a have a fryer dedicated to GF which is impressive, but my diet wants me to cut back on the starches so I substituted fries for a side salad with Greek dressing. It was very good. I have highly recommended Astro Burgers before the lifestyle change and am excited to know they have some delicious GF options so that I can continue coming here. I say give it a try.
Great burgers! Fries cooked in separate fryer.

They did a fabulous job! I usually get my burgers without the bun because I don't care much for gf buns but theirs were fabulous! Best fast food I have had in a long time! They understood the issues. They explained that the fry sauce they use on the burger's isn't safe because they use a spatula and double dip in their container back where they make the burgers. However, the fry sauce out on the floor comes out of a squirt container and is fine to use. Really delicious and great people work here!

Glutinated by the fries. They gave me fries with pieces of their onion ring wheat flour coating. I realized mid way through lunch and dumped the fries out of their package finding the onion ring breaking pieces. They are not using separate dedicated fryers, or not paying attention to the order. Either way, they poisoned me and I developed blisters and abdominal issues.

Best gluten free hamburger and fries I have ever had. They understand the issues. just let them know it needs to be gluten free and your golden. I drive twenty miles to go here. Kudos Astro Burger!

My 4 year old was excited we found a gluten free kids meal! I'm doing 4 instead of 5 stars only because the cashier rang up the order wrong and they gave us a regular kids meal. I immediately asked if it was GF when I got it and thy said no. The cook was visibly concerned they had rang it up wrong and immediately made a new one. They take it very seriously, but the cashier hadn't entered it right which is forgivable. Just remember to confirm its GF when you get your food!!
We came here for the first time because of the good reviews. When I ordered they were somewhat informed how to prepare gluten free. I definitely didn't get the warm fuzzies. I was told they do not have a dedicated fryer for fries. No fries for me. ☹ Wasn't offered a gluten free bun. Older reviews stated they had offered gf buns.

My son was thrilled to find out he can still eat a cheeseburger! Very educated staff.

Very celiac conscious!! Separate fryer for fries, they change gloves to prepare burgers & in our experience the gentleman taking our order physically walked back to the cook to make sure he knew it was for an allergy family! We Definitely give this place 2 thumbs up!!

Delicious! No issues. I don't have Celiacs but I have Hashimotos and strong reactions to gluten. I felt fine... Other than from eating too much because it tasted so good! I had the gluten free Astro burger and gluten free fries.
Dedicated gluten free Fryer. Just have to ask. Gluten free buns, fry sauce, and shakes.

Astro Burgers has the best GF burger I have had so far. I have never gotten sick after eating here. They are pretty knowledgeable about GF. They have gluten free buns that seem like Udi's brand buns, and they are the best buns I have had in a restaurant. The manager at the south jordan location is super nice and helpful. Their fries are pretty good most of the time, but are occasionally undercooked. Overall, it is still my favorite GF burger joint.
Yes
Their gf menu is small and simple but it has the necessary stuff when you're craving a burger. My double cheese burger is always delicious and my husband likes their gf chicken sandwich. The fries are good and the shakes are huge. The prices are also reasonable and we've never had a problem with the staff. As others have said, the sandwiches are built in such a way that you don't end up with a soggy mess or a glorified salad and the buns are best I've had.
Minor gripes:
I wish they put onion and pickle on the burgers.
Yesterday (Pioneer Day) when business was slow, we got fries that I don't think were made separately from the other fried food because there was a little piece of something (onion ring maybe?) in with the fries. My guess is that since business was so slow they didn't want to start a whole batch of gf fries just for me. So make sure you're clear that you need them GF.

Delicious and lots of options! They have gluten free buns for hamburgers and sandwiches. And they give you a special cup of mayo with ketchup packets so you can make your own gluten free fry sauce.

I eat here probably two times a week and never get sick. The food is great and they have good gluten-free buns. Cold turkey sandwich is great as is the Philly cheesesteak on a gluten-free bun. You can do sweet potato fries or regular fries and a dedicated fryer. George the owner really cares about his customers and he knows how to not cross contaminate food. His staff is also well-trained. Highly recommended

I got the GF chicken tenders and a small GF fry. I definitely got glutened but I'm not sure if it's from the tenders, fries or maybe the barbeque sauce. I don't think they accidentally gave me the non-GF tenders, they didn't look like normal chicken tenders, more likely they either don't have a dedicated fryer anymore or accidently fried them in the non-GF fryer. I might just be too sensitive though.
The tenders and fries tasted good though, I would recommend going here for other celiacs just remember to ask about the fryer in case things have changed.

Never disappointed unless they're out of gluten free chicken strips. The owner assured me that even his ranch and fry sauce are gluten free and that they use a dedicated fryer. As a decently sensitive celiac, I really appreciate this delicious option for fast food. I also really enjoy their gluten free cheese burgers, they're delicious!
