Very tasty. I got fried shrimp, fried okra & jalapeños, and potato salad. The okra and shrimp were wonderfully seasoned and crispy. When my order was taken, it was flagged for Celiac. They take it seriously. Apparently, all the side dishes at lunch and dinner are gluten free, by default.

We stayed on Amelia Island for 5 days and ate here 3 times. One of the best gf experiences we ever had from a safety and variety perspective. You can literally see and hear the cooks preparing your food separately and with extreme care from a counter seat. My family loved the chicken fingers and fries, pancakes and the eggs, bacon, toast and grits.

I will definitely be coming back here! I had fried okra and fried mushrooms for the first time since being diagnosed with celiac. It was all delicious and I felt like a normal person dining out. Most everything is gluten free, but there were a few exceptions. They seemed very knowledgeable and explained that they had a GF fryer. They flagged my order as **CELIAC** to make sure the kitchen was clear. I felt very comfortable with eating there. And the food was really good. Definitely recommend and will eat there again.

Excellent gluten free options; all of the sides are gluten free! The fried chicken was delicious. I have enjoyed breakfast here as well. The owner has a family member with Celiac, so he understands the disease. Cross-contact was not an issue (as long as you notify them that you have Celiac).

Totally recommend this place.

I had the chicken pasta and it was delicious. They also had some crispy fried fish that was so good.

The portions are large so you get your bang for your buck.

Please check it out. We were the only customers on a Sunday night and I worry about their business being slow. It’s a great place.

9-22 My husband and I had a delicious lunch here. They redid my plate graciously once they realized I needed to be dairy free as well. They had many options to use instead of buttermilk. The food was wonderful. Dedicated fryer. Great service. This is order at counter. They also had gluten free desserts.

9-23 I was not as excited about this location as last year. The food was average. I did not get sick, so it was safe. The fried brussel sprouts were very good. The fresh fruit was fresh. We ate here twice for brunch this trip. Had grits one morning, they were lumpy and didn’t taste like southern grits to me. A small serving was $6.

Highly recommend!! Staff was very knowledgeable about celiac and they have dedicated fryer and everything. They have the most delicious chicken tenders! My husband, who doesn’t have celiac, also thought they were some of the best chicken tenders he’s ever had. Everything that goes into the fryer is GF, so you don’t have to worry about cross contamination, and all their sides are GF. They had one GF dessert available the day we went, it was key lime pie cake and the piece was so large my husband and I split it. I often get sick from cross contamination when eating out and I had absolutely no symptoms after eating here. If you’re in the area you have to stop in!

Delicious gf fried chicken tenders! Fried okra and jalapeños are fabulous. This is the sister restaurant to the Bantam+Biddy that I frequent in ATL. Looking for a lunch spot as we were driving from Florida to NC. This App led us right to this wonderful restaurant! Many items on the menu to choose from. WOW. As a celiac, I never thought I’d have good chicken tenders and fried okra again. This place really delivers. Not only did I have zero reaction (!) but the tenders were legitimately some of the best I’ve had. Same with fried okra. The only knock I’ve got is that the pasta they use in the Mac and cheese disintegrates in your mouth. Just order a different side.

Three people with celiac disease and one with a dairy allergy were all able to eat here without any worry of contamination. We had fried chicken strips and bone-in fried chicken safely. They even made dairy free fried chicken strips using almond milk, with no hesitation! Most items on the menu are gluten free (with the exception of the biscuit and chicken pot pie). The staff was extremely knowledgeable about food allergies and safety. All of the side options are gluten free (fries, Mac and cheese, fried green tomatoes, fried Brussel sprouts, etc). We have eaten at this restaurant in Atlanta and Amelia Island. Every restaurant has delicious, safe food with friendly, helpful staff. We will definitely come back! Since it is hard to find, I also wanted to add that they have a gluten free fried fish (salmon) available also.

Yay! Tons of delicious GF sides…some healthy, some fried, but all delicious! Celiacs in group enjoyed the Mac and cheese, fried chicken, brussel sprouts (so good!) various potato dishes, salads… everything great! When we placed our order it wasn’t crowded, so I imagine the kitchen might slow down a bit if it’s packed, since almost all the sides look freshly made (we ordered 17 sides for 4 of us!)

My husband and I went here while we were visiting the island. I got the chicken tenders, fried okra, fresh cut fries, and a side salad. He got the meatloaf, okra, and the mashed potatoes. Both were great! I don’t eat red meat, but he tasted mine and said he preferred the chicken. It was so good we went there the next day for breakfast! I found this restaurant while on a trip by searching for a place that serves gluten free. It is an order at the counter restaurant. I got the build a “biscuit”. I subbed a gluten free bun and fried chicken tenders. The chicken was so crispy and juicy. It was flavorful with peppery tones. The bun was toasted and buttered. I ordered fries. They do not come with your sandwich, fries were fresh cut, not enough fries for cost, in my opinion, but delicious. I also ordered a gluten free brownie. This was the most reasonably priced. It was moist and delicious

I think it was slightly overpriced overall. They made me pay $.50 per condiment request I asked for mayonnaise and honey mustard and it cost me $1.07 extra. But I wasn’t at home so I paid the extra. I definitely do not think it was worth $.50 each and I didn’t even want ketchup. But I would go back the food was great and I love to support a place that’s local and does gluten-free. Plus the food was delicious

The bathroom was clean Cashier friendly Numerous booths, tables and bar seating, as well as outside seating.

Plenty of parking in a good sized plaza.

Lots of gluten free stuff. Staff made note of celiac. I ordered the Southern and loved it but my daughter got the gluten free pancakes and they were not good. Yuck. Overall cute place with fresh pressed orange juice. Four of us got breakfast and it was $63.00.

Gluten free accessibility was great! Everything gf was labeled on the menu. I had the toast with bacon and potatoes. A little bummed because the gf pancakes were made with oat milk- I can’t do oats. Be sure to ask about oats if it’s an issue for you. Staff was very knowledgeable about ingredients!

They had GF pancakes and chicken sausage. Kitchen was notified about gluten allergy. Food was clean. Nontraditional breakfast sausage. The food was great and one of the few on the island I could eat at. They took allergies very seriously and the food was fantastic! The manager was exceptionally helpful and kind.

Off the beaten path just south of the airport you’ll find this gem. With indoor and outdoor seating and friendly staff members. I tried the chicken fingers with kale cesar side salad, and French fries. The food was delicious, not greasy. Generous portions too. Since I am gluten-free, I am happy to report zero negative reaction. Definitely would return.

A little gluten free piece of heaven. We stumbled on this place and I’m so glad! The chicken finger, GF corn bread, GR Mac n cheese… the list goes on and on. Yes, yes, Yes, get in my belly. Please open a place near Philly!

Excellent service and a mostly GF menu! Also lots of vegetarian options.

I was really excited to try the fried chicken tenders, and was happy to find that they had dedicated GF fryers for French fries and more. Plenty of options and lots of yummy food.

The staff was well versed with dietary needs and celiac concerns, and was sure to ask both my husband and I what they needed to be aware of while serving us (I’m celiac, he has no restrictions).

The food was very yummy and flavorful. I was worried the chicken tenders might be dry, or coated in coarse corn meal like other places we’ve visited, but it honestly was so good and tasted like normal breaded tenders. I had the fries, a side salad, and the jalapeño cornbread as sides. My husband got a wrap and fries, and all of it was very good.

Definitely a must try while on Amelia Island!

Incredible and delightful experience. We were visiting the island on a daytrip and drove 20 minutes out of our way to experience the HUGE gluten free menu with my 12 year old daughter who has Celiac Disease. She was absolutely giddy to have so many kid-friendly GF choices for the first time since her diagnosis over 3 years ago. ALL the food was delicious, and what a treat to have GF fried chicken tenders and shrimp! I absolutely recommend Bantam & Biddy to anyone with Celiac Disease. One day later and still no sign of any cross contamination.

You MUST try the chicken tenders! They are phenomenal! The southern deluxe is great with gluten-free pancakes, fried okra, grits, and the best jalapeño cornbread! It was so good and I felt so safe eating here, we ate here multiple times on our trip!

Wonderful service and delicious GF food the fried shrimp was delicious, hot and crunchy batter on the outside, the fried Brussels sprouts were surprisingly delicious and so was the cornbread, definitely not too spicy. The fried tomatoes were good but not great. Will definitely return for more. Thank goodness for a safe celiac diner to enjoy noting that they label their GF menu accordingly…. No guessing!

We ate here for breakfast while we were on vacation. They had many gluten-free items to choose from. I had the gluten-free Chocolate chip pancakes and they were to die for. I asked the server if they were made in a separate space from everything else that may contain gluten and she assured me that they had a separate space. Delicious! No reactions. Can’t wait to go back!

Almost everything is gluten free except biscuits and gravy and soft taco shells. I was able to eat chicken and waffles for the first time since being gluten free and it was heaven! It did seem a bit odd that they said their chai tea mix wasn’t gluten free, though. I have no idea what gluten would be in it, so was a bit disappointed not to have it with my breakfast. But overall, a good experience.

This is the only place I feel 100% safe going to in Chatt. They always ask if I need celiac precautions. Friendly staff too! I am not a fan of the cakes (too dry!), but those are not made in house, so I didn’t let it affect my rating.

This place is a celiac heaven! Everything is/can be gluten free except breakfast tacos and biscuits and gravy. It was so good! My non celiac husband raved about this place haha we ate here twice on our trip.
