Since being diagnosed with celiac, biaggi's has been my go to place to eat with their two page menu of gluten free options. All of the servers I have had while dining in have been great and attentive to my needs.
It was a shock to find that Biaggis has changed their service to those with celiac. They charge for their gluten free bread that used to automatically accompany the entrees. And some of the options have disappeared. It looks like they are withdrawing their support of those with gluten intolerance or allergy.
WARNING: just learned that Biaggi's is now going to be charging for their gluten free side bread. They also changed their gluten free menu and got rid of their tube noodles and a few dishes and now just have a really bland spinach noodles (that was undercooked for us and had to be returned) that now only comes with a seafood, marinara, or Alfredo sauce. Contact and email corporate to make sure these changes are temporary! Unfair they want to now charge extra for those with allergies that want to dine there. If they wanted to make changes it should be to expand and better their gluten free menu, not scale it down and condense it. Luckily they still have other entrees that remain unchanged.
While in Champaign for work at the last minute I learned there was a Biaggi's and was relieved. This location like the other one in Jackson, MS was wonderful. Knowledgeable and friendly staff that provided a quality and safe GF meal for someone with celiac away from home!!!
Such a big gluten free menu and they even have gluten free bread which is awesome! If you call ahead they will have gluten free bread waiting for you
The last time I was at Biaggi's the food was amazing. I was able to order off the Special's menu. I ordered a salmon fillet with a rosemary crust. It came with some buttered baby fingerling potatoes I think asparagus came with it too. It was amazing and gluten free!! We also had an appetizer of mussels in a champaign marinara. I love the gluten free bread too! I never feel like I have to compromise when I go there. There is always something I want and can have.
Food was cold and tasted like something I could have warmed up from lean cuisine. Overpriced food with no quality. Try a nice downtown champaign restaurant like Destihl if you are looking for someplace nice.
Best GF pizza I have ever tasted. I literally teared up I was so over joyed. They even have a gf bread they'll bake fresh and bring out to you!,
I love this restaurant! I get sick off there is any contamination and I had no problems after eating here. the staff is wonderful, our waiter was very knowledgeable and was able to address all of our concerns about cross contamination. the food was DELICIOUS! they have a nice selection of gluten free options and even provide gluten free bread (pancake style, very tastey).
I love this place! I have celiac and get sick if there is any cross contamination . this restaurant is my go to for date nights. they have a separate gf menu with lots of options, gluten free creme brulee for dessert, and even will bring you a gluten free bread (flat pancake style but pretty tastey!).
Phenomenal Food. Great staff who truly understand. Pizza was fantastic.
OMG! Best GF experience I have ever had at a restaurant! Ask for Andrea - she is a super knowledgeable server. Had the pasta de mare (sp?) (seafood) and it was delicious. Ask for the gf bread - it is scrumptious. The list of gf menu items is extensive and the pizza crust is super yummy!
Good food. Knowledgeable staff. I do wish they would do something to mark their food as GF. They have separate food servers (not your waiter or waitress) and on 2 occasions they have mixed up the orders at the table. Two of our family members order the same dish - but one get is GF and the other regular. Thankfully we eat there enough to be able to recognize the GF pasta from the gluten pasta. But if you didn't catch it, it could be disastrous. It could all be avoided if they marked their GF plates. It would make you feel safer knowing everyone from the wait staff to the kitchen staff to the delivery person all agreed that the food was GF. I know some restaurants use different kinds of plates and others use some sort of GF marker/tag. Either way works great to make you feel safer.
I was very disappointed and very sick after I ate here. I have celiac disease so it was very important to ensure gluten free. When my meal came out I discovered there was regular pasta mixed in with my gluten free pasta... So basically they just tried to get out all the regular pasta and thought it wasn't that important. :( so sad because pre-celiac days I used to love this place... *sigh
I love Biaggi's. The staff is always helpful and very knowledgeable about the gluten-free menu. I have other allergies, as well; and whenever I have a question on whether an item would be safe for me to eat, they are always willing to go ask the chef or get a manager to help. The pasta is the best in town and to be able to have gluten-free bread with the meal is a nice treat.
Delicious food and great service! (They even put up with our fussy baby). The bread (from Venice Bakery) was addictive. They even worked with me on my additional food restriction (no milk protein) b/c of my baby's allergy and let me nurse him in the wine room.
Their gf menu contains plenty of choices and servers offer right away to bring gf flatbread when they see the menu in front of you. This is one of my favorite places to go for gf pizza and salads. Be sure to try the chicken piccante pizza - so rich with the buttery taste of the crust and the depth of flavor that the smoked bacon and goat cheese add!
I am at odds with this restaurant. Due to work, I spent 3 weeks in the area and frequented Biaggi's four times during my time in Peoria. The reason that I am at odds with Biaggi's is that the service and food was inconsistent. The first and third visits were good, as the service was prompt and ok. The second and last visits left a little to be desired with the service and food. One of the best things that Biaggi's has going for it is their gluten free bread, which is $1 up-charge, which if you have to eat GF, this is pretty common. As for the rest of the menu, the salads were decent. The biggest issue that I had with the pasta. It wasn't bad tasting, not the best I've ever had and certainly not even close to the worst. The penne, didn't seem to cook correctly each time in that some of the noodles ended up mushy and other parts were firm. The GF spaghetti ok, but a little bland. Make sure that you check your pasta prior to eating due to cross contamination from other non-GF noodles. On two separate occasions, I had a few pieces of regular pasta mixed into my meal. I understand that cross contamination can happen and that the management did make sure that the meals were cooked correctly on the second attempt, but additional training may need to be done, such as making sure that you clean out the pan prior to making a GF dish.
Really nice dinner for to he family, more formal than Olive Garden but much better food. My 4 year old enjoyed not only pizza but bread and dessert. Our server was knowledgable and friendly about GF options. My non GF entree of veggie risotto was very good and the Caprese salad was out of this world.
Stopped in on the basis of reviews posted here and had an ok pizza, a salad and some flat bread. In my experience, GF pizza crusts need to be cooked a bit longer so they are crisp in the middle and not soggy. In this case, it was only a little underdone, but underdone anyway. The flatbread was a nice surprise. Staff seemed alert to GF issues. Staff friendly but a little distracted. No big deal.
My 5yr old picky eater is gluten free. This was a nice place where she had gluten free pizza and gluten free flatbread. For pasta they have a penne type tune shape and spaghetti with sauce varieties. It is very good!! Helpful and have Gluten free menu. Love it!
I have heard so many good things about Biaggi's and enjoyed my meal the one time I ate there. Although it has been nearly 7 years, I cannot bring myself to try them again after having the worst gluten reaction I have ever had in my life.
Horrible. Won't go back. Served me rotten tomatoes. Ordered the margarita pizza and got a cheese pizza with slices of basil on it. So disappointing. The manager certainly didn't give me any reason to come back! He basically said it was impossible that the tomatoes were rotten.
I had the GF Alfredo and it was incredible. I would go there just to eat the GF flatbread. Staff was friendly. Separate GF menu. $18 for meal. Worth much more.
This place was great, dined in a bit earlier than dinner. It was slightly deserted but the feeling of the venue was warm. The hostess greeted us and our waitress was nice though her timing was awkward. She would come back too early or too late. Regardless, the food was excellent, though the portions were weird especially for the prices. They did have an extensive GF menu separate from their regular one that we had to ask for. The food was delicious and I highly recommend this as your GF restaurant choice. I give it 5 stars for the food, the ambiance, and the privacy.
My doctor recommended, and my doctor was right. Delicious bread and pasta--so rare in life now. My server was very careful about cross-contamination too.

Biaggis has been renamed Luganos, at this location. Same gluten free menu, same chefs. Each time I've eaten here I've had a good experience. I react to the smallest cross-contamination and I have had NO issues here in the past 18 months, including my visit last week.
