I called ahead and spoke with Adrian. They use dedicated pans, a dedicated area, separate utensils, and change gloves, and were able to identify the gluten-free items and those that could be modified to be gluten-free. Fryer is NOT dedicated gluten-free.

I’ve gotten sick both times I’ve eaten here, despite lots of GF options being provided and labeling my dish as an allergy order. Like other reviewers, the waitress said some things that made me worry: she mentioned gluten “burning off” at high temperatures like in the shared fryer and even suggested that sourdough bread might not cause issues. I avoided these anyway but still got sick. The ambiance is great, the food tastes great—it’s a shame I can’t seem to make it work to eat here!

Meh.
Came here because of the high ratings on FindMeGF, but when we sat down the waitress told me that the kitchen is tiny so they can’t promise anything will be safe to eat. There were very limited options - basically only 2 salads, the burger without the bun, and 1 entree (risotto). Ended up getting a salad with shrimp, and I got sick a couple hours after I ate.
Wouldn’t really recommend.

Although gf options are not designated on the menu, the waitress we had was very knowledgeable about what was gf or could be prepared gf. She was under the misconception, however, that gluten is heat labile at cooking/frying temperatures. I have found this to be false, unfortunately, several times over shortly after my celiac diagnosis when eating corn tortilla chips (at Red Lobster with their nachos and at Mexican restaurants with salsa) that I didn’t realize were fried on site in shared oil. Misconception aside, my husband and I had a great meal. GF soup, salad, entree choices were better than average in quantity, and there were two flourless gf cake dessert options: chocolate or chocolate & peanut butter. We ended up going back for a second meal, choosing different entrees. I did not get sick either time, so I would recommend, however some of the waitstaff is more knowledgeable than others regarding gf issues. Would be helpful if gf or gfa were stamped on the menu.

No GF menu but the server knew EXACTLY what could and couldn’t be GF. My fish was delicious and my daughter raved about her vegan crab cake. My daughter is vegan and it can be hard to find decent places where we both can eat. My husband, with no dietary needs, enjoyed it too. It was a lovely experience, I had ZERO issues after and will definitely go back again.

The host was super knowledgeable about what menu items could be made gluten free. The steak frites were a great option, and I love that the fries, in general, are gluten free!

Had a late afternoon lunch here. Asked server about gluten free items as I have celiac. Menu is only annotated for vegan and vegetarian. I was able to get a nice size garden salad with grilled jumbo shrimp with basil vinaigrette dressing. Very tasty.

Went for lunch and had the curried chicken salad on a bed of lettuce. Was delicious. Waiter seemed knowledgeable regarding gf options.

I usually assume that restaurants with vegan/vegetarian options flagged on the menu are less likely to have GF options (because they can only focus on so many things), Blacksmith proved me wrong. The server had a cheat sheet for the day's menu options that were already GF, and she was ready with more detailed answers re: what ingredients were in sauces, etc. I'm not Celiac so I can't speak to that level of cross-contamination that might be in the kitchen, but they clearly get enough GF customers in that they're prepared for them.
We had asked for the bread to come out on a separate plate from the cheese board; it came on the board itself. There were enough other allergens for me personally on the board (which I didn't mention at the time of ordering) that I passed on it entirely and let the rest of the table have it, but the server was so accommodating that I'm sure if we'd raised a fuss about it, they'd have made a new one.
Everything was delicious and I was glad to hear they had a flourless dessert option, although I didn't partake.

Excellent food and service! I have Celiac so I called the day before because there was no gf menu online. The woman whom I spoke with on the phone suggested a salad with added steak, burger without the bun (shared fryer though so could not get the fries), or a seafood dish. I ended up getting the sea bass special and it was one of the tastiest meals I've had. Even better was I had no reaction! I will definitely come back next time I'm at the beach.
