I was traveling through the area and used the app to find this place... what a gem! My daughter and I were coming back from celiac camp in Rhode Island and decided to stay overnight nearby before heading home to Rochester. We decided to go out to dinner and the moment we walked into this place, we knew that it was going to be an exceptional place. They took our cell phone number and told us that we could go and window shop while we waited as the wait would be about 20 minutes. We went to this cute little jewelry store and made a purchase "while we waited" and before you knew it, we were seated. They have a wonderful GF menu with prices listed on it and the menu was filled with appetizers, dinners and even desserts! They brought out oven baked rolls with a garlic butter - FABO!! Where do you get GF rolls? Right here! So tastey! We felt like royalty and praised the waitress for the selection and the rolls. She let us know that the owner is Celiac as well and they have a separate prep area for GF! We ordered fried calamari - delicious and for dinner my daughter had the shrimp scampi with pasta and I had sword fish with hand cut french fries... everything was incredible, even dessert. We selected the vanilla creme brulee..... YUMMY! I can't wait until camp again next year so that we can treat ourselves to dinner here again! I refer to Burtons Grill in all of my reviews of other restaurants because Burtons does gluten free right. This approach has lead to repeat business and happy referrals to other diners both gluten-free and "normal". Burtons approach does not make me feel like a second-class citizen, like other restaurants do. I am at ease and not in fear of receiving food that will hurt me while eating at Burtons. Give it a try.

Many gluten-free options. I tried the ahi tuna burger. It was super delicious. It was like ceviche on a gluten-free bun. The fries were over seasoned and over salted, so I will ask them to go light on that in the future. Make sure that you emphasize gluten-free, because one day I did take out, and I am fairly certain that they gave me a regular bun by mistake. The service is really great, and the manager was awesome in responding to my concerns.

Fantastic gf menu. Great food and gf beer. I like how they put all the gf food on square plates and regular food on round plates. Puts me at ease. Try the gf calamari.

amazing food! Huge local gluten/dairy free FRIED SHRIMP! Yum!!!!! plus the most wonderful experience I've EVER HAD regarding attention to detail with my food allergies (dairy and gluten) they even offer GF bread and pasta! above par service! 5 stars all the way!

I'll give then another try because the gluten free menu was impressive the one time we ate there, but they clearly don't want your business if you 1) don't have a reservation and 2) aren't dressed to impress the 17-year-olds at the hostess station. Promising, if you don't mind attitude.

Great restaurant! Most of their menu is naturally gluten free, they understand cross contamination, their fryers are not cross contaminated, and overall just very knowledgeable. Waitress said that the owner (or might have been manager, can't remember which one) has celiac disease. I highly recommend!

Excellent food and service. My husband had the Tuscan chicken, served with carrots and beans. He loved the gluten free roll so much he asked for for another one for dessert. He's not really into chocolate. If they opened a restaurant in our city we would jump for joy. We ate at the Mt. Pleasant SC location. Now that they have found the SC beaches they need to check out the foothills of the mountains in Greenville SC.

AWESOME!!!! They brought me a GF roll and dipping oil at no additional cost. I had the zucchini stuffed with herbed cheese and covered in marinara plus an order of the hand-cut French fries, just b/c I could. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly and food was amazing. I will def. go back - highly recommend!!

I was diagnosed with celiac disease last year and due to cross contamination issue had to give up many of the restaurants in the area. Someone recommended I try Burton's Grill and it is far and away our new favorite restaurant. They are extraordinarily knowledgable as to gluten free food preparation, as well as accommodating any allergy you could think of. The food is always brought over by the chef or the manager. Beyond the gluten free factor, they have a huge menu and everything I've eaten there has been excellent. I highly recommend their gluten free flat breads in particular. Be sure to also sign up for their rewards program. For every $300 you spend you get $25 off the menu. We dine their often and it's a great extra.

This place was fantastic! Everything was made from scratch. They had the largest gluten free menu I've seen and even had gluten free bread at the beginning of the meal. They are so accommodating to all needs and definitely take food allergies seriously. All gluten free food was brought out by the manager and was served on a square plate (verses a round plate they serve other food on). Definitely try this place!

This is a great gf resto! Staff is very knowledgeable on gf and menu is great. Had the pasta and it was amaz! Also, flour less chocolate cake was very decadent, baked by their in house pastry chef! A new place, but worth trying!!!!

Sat at the bar. Bartender named Will helped us, he was amazing! He had actually tried much of the GF options and could recommend the best ones! The pizza and calamari was amazing... Almost pre-GF! Loved it.

Best GF restaurant on east coast! Chef can tailor almost any meal to GF. They serve GF bread, GF blue cheese, GF deep fryer (aka not cross-contaminated), all of which are great examples of a restaurant that understands gluten allergy customers. Seriously, I've been to dozens of GF friendly restaurants in Boston, NYC, and DC and this is my favorite. A guaranteed top 3 for anyone with celiacs.
