So many options! Love this chain, always trust them. The gluten free bread service is great, and I loved the general tso bowl. The staff are knowledgeable, I didn’t even have to ask for a gf menu, they offered one first. The waitress checked to make sure gluten was my only allergy, and was super nice!

Best gluten free dining experience I’ve had at any restaurant. Almost the entire menu is either already gluten free or can be made gluten free. The staff always immediately asks about allergies. Plates are color coded for gluten free foods. Dedicated fryer. I always feel completely safe eating here even on a busy night. Owned by the same operators of the Red Heat Tavern restaurant chain which is equally as safe.

If you have celiac disease this place is heaven. If you don't have celiac disease this place is heaven. I can't overstate just how incredible this restaurant is. The food is so damn good and they make gluten-free food enjoyable and painless. They know all about allergies and take everything seriously. They have a separate fryer and a separate area for food preparation. Please open up a location in Southern Connecticut! We need more Burtons everywhere. Thank you SO much for caring so much about people with celiac disease. It really is life-changing to experience a meal at your restaurant.

Found a pubic hair in my food. Got glutened once here as well, with a really bad reaction, so not just cross contamination. I will never eat here again. Manager didn’t even refund the meal. I was appalled. I ended up gagging and throwing up after finding that pubic hair, and all they did was not charge me for that one piece even though we all stopped eating and didn’t even get to finish the meal. Awful experience.

This is my go to place to eat! I feel completely safe. The food is amazing! They have a completely separate GF menu. They have separate dedicated area in the kitchen for preparing and cooking all the gluten-free items. I always order the Lemon chicken piccata. I've ordered lot's of thing's before finding my favorite dish I've never been sick from eating there. 10 out of 10 recommend.

I have absolutely loved and trusted Burtons Grill & Bar until my most recent experience with them. They usually go above and beyond in making sure the food is safe, even having a manager review the order before it is served; however, we ordered pick-up last night and the food had dairy even though the bag was clearly marked with a dairy and gluten allergy notice. After waiting 45 minutes after our scheduled pick up time, I ended up just giving my food to my partner because I could not eat what I was given (I was scared that it may have gluten too since they missed the dairy piece). Just a heads up to those with celiac and other allergies to be careful when ordering pickup. I’m sad because this was one of the only places I felt safe eating!!!

I’ve been going to Burtons for years and they are the most safe and reliable restaurant I’ve been to. They have a completely separate GF menu that has so many options. The manager also brings out the GF meal which ensures the chefs cooked it in their GF area!!

The best place ever!!! The staff and restaurant take all precautions needed to ensure a safe meal!

They have a separate menu for gluten free, the servers are well trained. Food is always great and they have excellent gluten free bread to start so you don't have to sit and stare at everyone else eating lovely bread.

I practically live at this place. This is the only restaurant I trust with all of my dietary restrictions (Celiac, dairy-free, lactose-free, grain-free, garlic/onion-free, etc). They are PHENOMENAL at paying close attention and getting it straight everytime. I've (sadly) had to become very fussy about where I'll eat, and these guys are the only ones I trust. The waitstaff are all highly-trained (they have to become certified in food-allergen training now), excellent people. Can't recommend enough!

Burton's is the absolute best! I have been coming here regularly for about 5 years without ever having a reaction (I have a wheat allergy). Not only is Burton's safe, but has a delicious and wide selection of GF foods (separate menu). They begin the meal with GF focaccia! I have tried everything from the GF calamari, to the delicious bbq chicken salad (seasonal), the GF pasta carbonara, and the GF chocolate cake. You cannot go wrong! As an added bonus, Burton's does takeout which saves me during a busy week!

Got the Maxx burger with the rosemary parm fries based on pst reviews. What’s anything to write home about and the fries were soggy, and the portion was quite small given the up charge for them. Though I got the creame brûlée for dessert and it did not disappoint!

Staff is super knowledgeable and all GF food comes out on different shapes plates. The fries are in separate fryers so they’re safe and the rosemary Parmesan fries are to die for! The food is not only safe but delicious we’ll definitely be going back!

Burton's is the best GF friendly restaurant in CT. Just about everything on the menu can come GF. The staff is very knowledgeable and GF orders come on a square plate, while non-GF gets a round plate. The fried calamari is my favorite, but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

This place was amazing. They have gf menu but my husband had regular menu and they were almost identical. My husband had the gf fried haddock sandwich and I had crab crusted haddock with Mac and cheese. Everything tasted great. Lots of appetizers, main menu food and a chocolate cake that I got to go because I was to full but looks wonderful.

I am blown away by my experience here! The hostess asked if anyone needed a GF menu before we were even seated. There was a blurb on the menu about how seriously they take accommodating dietary restrictions. My food was delivered to the table separately by gloved hand with confirmation that it was gluten free. Celiac can be so isolating sometimes, especially in restaurants, but Burtons gave me a sense of normalcy and inclusivity. Great job Burtons!

I've eaten here several times and have never gotten sick. They are knowledgeable and always happy to accommodate my diet. The gluten-free menu is extensive. I love their burgers and how their buns don't get mushy or fall apart like so many others do. This is the only restaurant I've ever been to that offers a gluten-free bread service (although it is an extra cost) - the focaccia is delicious. Usually I don't have room for dessert, but I did try the cheesecake one time and it was amazing, creamy and decadent. I wish I lived in town so I could go here all the time.
