I have probably eaten here a dozen times. The chicken sandwiches are fantastic, mostly because the fried chicken tastes amazing! The bun is delicate so it can get a bit messy. I don’t even live in Richmond but if I am driving through I make it a point to stop by. I have never had an issue with cc.

They take gluten free seriously here. Have eaten at the short pump location close to 20 times and haven’t had a problem with cross contamination. Usually order and let someone in the store know to treat it as an allergy. Only wish the phone number could connect you to a person in the store or gave you an option to allergy alert your ticket through their Toast system

I told the chef about celiac and ordered GF chicken tenders. they showed me the whole process for breading and frying and it was 10/10 experience. As with any place, I would just double check through the process to make sure there's no disconnect between the cashier and cooks. You can never be too cautious when alerting the kitchen I'd recommend not just counting on the cashier to convey the gluten-free message, sometimes make sure to touch base with the cook or chef.

Wow. I can’t remember the last time I had a fried chicken sandwich. This did not disappoint. So crisp!! And I don’t normally like crinkly fries but these were also so crisp. They can also make the fried chicken without buttermilk if you have a dairy allergy as well. So accommodating. Only a couple of items cannot be made GF. We will definitely be back.

Staff was knowledgeable and took the time to show me what I could have. They have a dedicated fryer! The fried green tomatoes were fantastic. I had the OG Chicken sandwich. It was the perfect combination of flavors. Though the bun disintegrated by the third bite so that was disappointing. Try the Spicey honey. It has a gentle kick!

I was so impressed! They have separate fryers for gf. And easy to order gf foods. The chicken tenders and fries were amazingly good and crispy yet tender. My kids could not tell the difference. Friendly, helpful staff, and gender neutral restrooms. Definitely will eat here again every time we are in town!!!

Visited this restaurant recently and was pleasantly surprised to see the offerings they have for gluten free meals. They have a dedicated fryer to cook gluten free food and provide gluten free buns and sides, including French Fries (my favorite). And to top it off, the chicken sandwiches are incredible!

I was so excited about this place! First in ages that I have had a great tasting fried chicken. (This is a sandwich place, and they have gluten free buns) It tasted amazing! When I went in I was a little nervous to eat here. But they have a gluten free prep place and the food has its own fryer (including the French Fries). The manger came over and we talked. She even helped me order and made sure I selected the correct options on the I-pad. (When entering the place you go straight to the I pad, select what you want, and then place your order without talking to anyone.) I will definitely be going back here next time I am in town. Totally worth going there!

I put gluten free in my order but didn't specify allergy. I tried to say something to the young woman that I forgot to specify allergy and she rolled her eyes. I asked to just refund my money. It isn't worth it. The gentleman cooking came over and asked I explained and he changed gloves. The other person went off about she didn't know what I was talking about and then had an attitude about me asking for a refund. I told her not to worry about it but she refunded it anyway. I ended up having to reorder so I could pay. Kareem (?) Was outstanding and gave excellent service. Unfortunately, I had very obvious gluten exposure symptoms. I went another time several weeks ago and it was great. It is too inconsistent to be safe. The food is so good so it is hard to say goodbye.

Got Glutened here. Celiac and first time guest. Was super excited to find a place that appeared so knowledgeable about GF needs.

Ordered a smashville at the kiosk, chose the GF mod.

When I picked up my order I even confirmed “all gluten free right?” with the staff. Was told “yes.”

Fast forward to 19 hours of vomiting and the most excruciating pain I’ve ever been in.

Reached out on Insta to figure out what happened. They refunded me but told me that I needed to select GF for the bun too as it does not come standard. The GF mod apparently is only applied to the chicken. For a business who advertises how gluten free friendly they are, the ordering system needs to be easier to understand.

Or, at the very least, the convo with the staff should have been “all gluten free, right.” “Oh, no actually this bun is not GF, but your chicken is.”

Order at your own risk. Chicken was delicious though, but not enough to make me try it again.

This place was life changing. I can’t express how thankful I am to finally have a celiac safe fried chicken option, after years of not having chicken tenders or a chicken sandwich. I’ve been to this place 3 times so far and have felt fine after every time (I am extremely sensitive to cc). The chicken and fries are amazing, and my boyfriend (not celiac) said the gf and the normal chicken are both delicious! It is so great to have something battered and fried that is crispy and flavorful, which is so hard to find gluten free. I have already recommended this place to gf and non gf people I know.

This place almost made me cry with how good the chicken was! Super nice staff, clean kitchen and dining area, and they know their stuff. Practically everything can be gluten free, including their fries, and wow! True southern fried chicken! I got the OG which was amazingly flavorful while still being simple. Food is very bland but it is safe and you can watch them cook everything. get extra sauces, they will charge you for the sauce but otherwise it will be way to dry. Batter is rice flour and water, no seasoning or anything else (to keep us safe I suppose). It set up is similar to McDonald's except no phone, no cash and they won't check you out but they will help you if you have questions when you doing it yourself.

The staff was very helpful! The open kitchen allowed me to watch the whole time, and they used a separate fryer for the chicken and fries, changed gloves before handling the gluten free food, and tossed the gluten feee fries in our boxes instead of the bowl which was used for the other fries.

And did I mention it was DELICIOUS!?
