Yesterday went to the cheesecake factory i wasnt impressed as usual what i found strange is i oulked up there menu looked at a appetizer which stated 1 price but when in questioned the waitress told me the website was updated.in response i said to her why is the menu here stating a different price she didnt have a plausible answer anf basically walked away. They're over priced and food is not that GREAT!!!!!! Beautiful place for show. Ive been to more down home gems gotten waaaaaay better food and service. Will not be returning anytime soon. People Rah!Rah! About this place why I dont know. Also they change the menu to much its like 6 different Resturants in one place basically a bufffet. LOL LOL can get that anywhere. The resturant is a joke
I loved the GF Menu in Cheese Cake Factory. Server was great and I had no problems with the food I ate. I will keep coming to this restaurant in Frisco TX.
I really hate it when someone has one bad experience (usually with a server, not the restaurant) and leaves a terrible review. The thing is, if you're celiac, it's going to be hard to trust ANYONE. And in my opinion, any efforts by a restaurant to move toward gluten-free should be celebrated. There are a ton of us (myself included) that are very sensitive, but not to the point of celiac. And for me, I really appreciate these restaurants adding items I can eat. And many of them end up taking them away because of the complaints about their one or two bad experiences. This isn't how to go about having your issues understood. Offer suggestions, not complaints, and in a friendly manner. I loved the gfree options at Cheesecake Factory and had no issues.
We tried to order and eat from the Cheesecake Factory gf menu options, but first the burger came out on a regular bun, then an hour later a second attempt came with fries (not gf) instead of the salad ordered. And, there was a piece of some kind of chicken in the burger! The salad I ordered was supposed to be gf, but I am having a horrible gluten reaction... Don't trust this restaurant if you are a celiac!
Big menu plus kid's menu
Incredible!!! Knowledgeable servers and amazing gf pasta and Godiva chocolate cheesecake!
Great pasta & burgers. Salads!Celiac friendly.
I love this restaurant. I recommend their burgers (gluten free buns are available), their fries have a designated GF fryer, AND they have a Godiva chocolate cheesecake. If you mention you have an allergy the waiters/waitresses seem to be aware and careful.
They have a lot of GF options and are well informed on the issues of cross contamination, yet every time I eat there I still get some cross over. Only go if you have a mild intolerance. Not celiac friendly, their kitchen is just too crazy to be perfect. There GF burgers are really good though... May have to suffer an outbreak for it.
Small but varied selection of gluten free items manager at this one has made sure every cook understands and is trained properly on gf needs(manager also is gluten free) I got the shepherds pie and my wife got the 4 cheese pasta and both are great!!!
Very accommodating and large choice of options. So refreshing to not have to choose from just salads.
I went here with a few friends from college last night and I loved my cheeseburger that was made with a Udi's gluten free bun. The last time I had gone to this location I had the same cheeseburger and didn't have any reaction to it so I figured it was a safe bet to have it again. Unlike last time, however, I decided to order the so called "gluten-free" Godiva Flourless Cheesecake. I didn't have a full out reaction to it, but I woke up this morning not feeling so great and am really annoyed that the Cheesecake Factory claims that the Godiva cheesecake is gluten free when it actually isn't
had the gluten free pasta, it was good but it made my stomach hurt a bit afterwards. And they don't know that Godiva chocolate isn't gluten free, and so they have a Godiva chocolate cheesecake on the gluten free menu...? As a sensitive celiac, I won't be going back. too much risk for me personally
They have all there GF items marked on the menu. Salads, burgers, fish, pastas. French fries in dedicated fryer. I had an appetizer of corn mesa cakes topped with avocado and sour cream and salsa. It was very good. The waitress we had (HB location) was knowledgeable and had family with celiac and told us she would have the chefs be careful about cross contamination. I have celiac and I didn't get sick so I'm guessing it was all prepared safely as possible in a kitchen that has gluten also. I will go back.
We had an awful experience here. My 13 year old was diagnosed with celiac 5 months ago & this was one of our first times venturing out to eat for my birthday. We called ahead & they said they understood celiac & would take special care. She ordered a gf pasta. A few bites in to the fusilli gf pasta, she pulled out a bow tie pasta. We pulled over the manager who admitted to us that they cook the gf pasta in the same pasta water than all the other pasta. We were pretty upset. He offered to remake it, but was planning to prepare it in the same manner. I asked him to please prepare the new pasta in a clean pot. He said he would and we were quickly presented with a new plate. She put her fork in, and this time pulled out a spaghetti noodle. Exasperated, we called the manager over & he was dumbfounded as its presence in the new pasta and had no explanation. At this point she was done trying. They took it off the bill & gave her a gf chocolate cheesecake for dinner which was quite delicious. I would never take someone with celiac there again, as they clearly do not understand the severity of gluten to the diagnosis.
Gluten free items are clearly marked on this chain's menu. I ordered the lunch sized salmon which was standard fare. My lunch came out after my non-gluten free family's. The waitress said that they had originally made my plate with broccoli (which is cooked in pasta water). They substituted for sauteed green beans.
All in all, pretty good. I'm a vegetarian with gluten sensitivity and I have a decent amount of choices here. They seem to lately have the normal menu but with the option to modify certain dishes to be GF. I wish they would state what is ALREADY gluten free. It just makes me a little nervous asking for a normal menu item to be gluten free, so when it looks exactly the same as an item with gluten you're just hoping the server/kitchen didn't overlook the gluten free request. Not saying I've had a problem, I just have to be annoying and ask again when my food arrives that it's gluten free so I don't spend 2 days in agony.
Really tasty gluten-free food! Vegetarian & vegan options too! Celiacs be warned that sometimes regular noodles will get mixed in with the gluten-free pasta dishes. I've had that happen a couple times now. Easy to pick out but it's contaminating. Their salads are really yummy and large portions!
The meal was bad and the cheesecake was delicious. The waitress got an attitude about whether or not the fry cooker was dedicated. Turns out that they now have a dedicated fryer and both sweet potato and regular are GF but SP is still not noted as GF on the menu.
I'm truly excited how many GF options are offered on the menu and the quality of their bar staff during lunch time. Also, the rice noodles are actually made with rice flour so I was able to order the Chicken Lettuce Asian Tacos without modifications; that made my heart so happy.
After a few years of avoiding this chain, I was finally forced back because someone wanted to go and I did not want to be the jerk who said no. To my surprise they now have a GF menu which wasn't horrible, except, of course for dessert. Then you get basically a flourless chocolate cake.
They seem to offer very few options. We had roasted chicken w mashed potatoes and grilled salmon which were good. Even though they offer GF bun- Burgers and fries are cross contaminated. Waitress was very kind to warn of cross contamination. But manager would supervise any GF orders.
Although their massive menu doesn't really include as many GF options as one would hope for, they make up for it by excellent food quality, knowledgeable servers, and (I know it sounds silly) decent GF buns. When everyone at the table is snarfing the bread, it was nice of the server to bring a warm, lightly toasted GF bun so I would have something too. And the bun is actually delicious. And don't get me started on the Godiva cheesecake....love love love.
In my experience, they treat gluten sensitivities like a fad diet and therefore do not take it seriously. My server could have cared less. I did not feel safe at all. Will not be back and it's a shame since this was one of my favorite restaurants before.
Our server was extremely careful once we let him know we had Celiac and not only went to ask about the fry oil and pasta water but took it upon himself to check the ingredients and preparation of our beverages even though I forgot to ask about them. He let us know their protocol about changing gloves and two different managers stopped by our table to ask if we had any others questions. We felt very safe eating there!
This one in particular behaved very unfriendly and non-sympathetic at all!! We had to order what they suggested from the GF options and my 3yr old daughter got very sick that night. She wanted her usual GF burger with the GF fries and these were both denied because they said they couldn't guarantee they would be safe... In exchange she actually did get sick from their GF pasta!!!
