Server was extremely knowledgeable (she has Celiac) and was great about informing me of what was safe and what to avoid. Unfortunately, someone other than her brought my food to the table. I was informed after I took a bite of my burger that the bun was not a gluten free bun. Be advised that their menu changes every 6 months, and what was gluten free before may not be safe now. I was told a few months ago that all the salad dressings were gluten free, but today only one was gluten free. There is no dedicated gluten free fryer.
great menu and great service! waitress was very knowledgeable about gluten free.
Great extensive menu, delicious food and the server and manager were very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this location!
Separate GF menu. Waitress was very knowledgeable. I had a burger with a GF bun and it was delicious. They even have a chocolate GF cheesecake.
I had a cheeseburger on a gf bun and it was amazing. The Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake is to die for.
Do NOT eat at this CCF if you must be gf! My server seemed ticked that I would ask for gf. I am now violently ill.. I know what cross contamination feels like, and this isn't it. I honestly believe I was served non gf pasta, even though the person who brought it out told me it was gf. Lesson learned the hard way. :-(
Waitress, Kayla G was knowledgeable, extremely pleasant and patient. She answered all my questions and recommended what I could safely eat as The Cheesecake Factory does not have a dedicated fryer or grill. They use gluten containing marinades on the grill. I ordered the 1/2 chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans. I did not get sick and will eat there again this week during my vacation. The only reason I gave The Cheesecake Factory 4 stars is because the options are very limited because of cross contamination risk. My visit was very pleasant, the food was very flavorful and the staff was excellent.
They boil "steamed broccoli" in the same pot of water that they cook regular pasta and noodles. The manager can't address the problem of it because he has no knowledge about "gluten FREE". My husband found a strip of noodle in his Steamed broccoli that he specificity emphasized on STEAMED but no boiled. When we talked to the manager about it, he told us that they have been served the same kind of steamed broccoli to gluten free customers and it seemed to be no problem at all. He told us to call back the next day if my husband feel sick arrogantly. The worse experience we had with this franchise!
I've been to other Cheesecake Factory restaurants and this was terrible. We came in towards the end of the night and our waitress didn't know what gluten free meant. I explained it and she said she'd alert the kitchen. I ordered the pasta carbonara as I have done at the other restaurants and it was a huge mistake. I took a bite and the pasta did not seem to taste gluten free and the texture was like regular pasta. She assured me it was gf and I was starving and at it. Before I even left there I was extremely ill. I was sick for almost 2 weeks. I know I should have trusted my instincts. I will not go back to this location as I feel they did not care and were unhappy we came in an hour before closing.
The first time, perfect. They were sweet and understanding and the menu has things clearly marked for gf. I am super sensitive even cross contamination gets me- which is why I rarely go out to eat. The second time however, the waitress was very rude , like I was annoying her. The good was still great however. Hit or miss servers. But good food.
Decent sized GF menu, the also offer GF buns. I usually get the pasta and haven't tried a burger yet. They offer one GF cheesecake, and it's the Godiva chocolate one, which is too rich for me. I usually get a sundae if I want dessert. Only one time did I have a regular pasta noodle in with my GF pasta, the apologized profusely and comped our meal. Fortunately I did not get sick. I have eaten there since with no problems.
Not large selection but you can request certain items to be made gluten free - they don't have a separate menu just a small symbol near the foods that are - unfortunately only 1 cheesecake is gluten and it's chocolate chocolate and more chocolate
EDIT January 19: Although a few dishes are clearly marked GF, servers seem to be very inconsistently trained on the subject. Fries are supposedly gluten free, but I was told they are only available when there is a clean fryer available. Was also told during my previous visit that the sauce on my burger wasn't safe, but this time I was assured the same sauce was indeed safe. East here at your own risk, because I sure don't trust them. Get your shit straight, Cheesecake Factory. ------------- Hadn't gone here in a while, because they couldn't seem to find me something gluten free off their menu. Well, apparently they've got a new menu with clearly marked GF items and options now! Also, GF hamburger buns and gluten free fries! Americana Cheeseburger A++! Will go again!
Gf notated on menu. Waiter seemed willing to make accommodations (asking for pasta to be boiled in separate water) but I don't know if that is normal policy if not requested.
Amazing food as always. They have a good variety of gluten free foods, which I was very thankful for. I ordered a GF cheeseburger and GF fries, which was so good, however I had a bad reaction, I think just from cross contamination. It happens, for it's not celiac certified, so I took my chances. I probably will go there again because I appreciate them trying to accommodate us gluten intolerant! Just be wary if you have celiacs.
This a great gf place for family or date night. You do need to be on your toes as I've had tiny discrepancies with orders before but overall a great place to eat out. If they make a mistake they bend over backwards to fix it. I am genuinely sad they stopped serving the eggplant glamburger. The tamale appetizer platter is amazing. They recently combined their gf menu with their regular menu. They have a gf Godiva cheesecake.
Lots of gluten free options including pasta, turkey burgers, hamburgers, chicken and beef entrees. Drawback: soups and appetizers are not gluten free. Only gluten free cheesecake is Godiva Chocolate, luckily my favorite, i am a chocoaholic. I always get great service there. Cross contamination can happen, they do not have a completely gluten free kitchen section.
I debated about eating at the bar because bartenders sometimes get annoyed about food allergies. With a long wait for a table, we decided to give it a try. The bartender was AWESOME! He pressed all of the food allergy buttons when he put my order in and then, went to the kitchen to discuss my allergies with the chef.
I really hate it when someone has one bad experience (usually with a server, not the restaurant) and leaves a terrible review. The thing is, if you're celiac, it's going to be hard to trust ANYONE. And in my opinion, any efforts by a restaurant to move toward gluten-free should be celebrated. There are a ton of us (myself included) that are very sensitive, but not to the point of celiac. And for me, I really appreciate these restaurants adding items I can eat. And many of them end up taking them away because of the complaints about their one or two bad experiences. This isn't how to go about having your issues understood. Offer suggestions, not complaints, and in a friendly manner. I loved the gfree options at Cheesecake Factory and had no issues.
Nice gluten-free menu, even a gluten-free cheesecake! Charles helped us and was very good. They do have a separate fryer for gluten free fries, and the kitchen knows to guard against cross-contamination. We eat at Cheesecake Factory restaurants all over the country several times a month and have never had a problem with gluten.
We had a great time! Melinda was terrific, very knowledgeable on the menu and the gluten free items which are easy to find on their regular menu. She asked if we wanted bread, and suggested a toasted gluten free burger bun as a gluten-free bread option. My wife had the gluten free pasta with chicken and roasted garlic and loved it! She ordered the Godiva (gluten free) cheesecake to go and loved that too! We look forward to seeing Cheesecake Factory restaurants wherever we go!
Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Ordered a pasta dish gluten free, and asked them to start a fresh pot of water to avoid cross contamination. They have a separate area for food prep, and I didn't get sick. Food could have been a bit more heavily seasoned, but otherwise great meal, and heated up leftovers for dinner!
Fantastic menu with plenty of GF options for whatever you may be craving! The staff were super friendly and very accommodating. They made sure to check everything and reassure me when bringing everything out that it was GF. The food delicious and the Godiva cheesecake was AMAZING!!
A number of GF options and dairy free too.
Went for Sunday brunch and had an omelet. Not a large selection for breakfast but it was very good.
I just ate "gluten free pasta" and I couldn't even finish my plate when my stomach start yelling STOP!; of course I speak to the manager and they didn't charge us for the meal, but he asked me things like: what kind of pasta was on the plate? Did you find any penne (gluten) or just Fussily (non gluten); because there's a chance when they serving the pasta, some slip off, sooooo what your saying is that you use the same utensils at the same time for different pastas? I think it is very irresponsible for them to assure you they have gluten free options, and that they know what they're doing when they clearly don't. So I would not be returning there, And I think that if you can't handle being gluten free, don't do it; we'll be happy to eat somewhere else.
So disappointed with the Cheesecake Factory. After reading all the 'gluten free options' on their website I was really looking forward to going there. However the majority of dishes seemed to be subject to cross contamination e.g the French fries are cooked in the same oil as gluten containing fried food and the pasta is boiled in the same pot as gluten pasta, I did question this and the waitress was not at all knowledgeable or sympathetic and there was no offer of simply using a different pan to cook the pasta .... Surely they have more than one pan!!
They went from having no options to having tons of options. They have a whole gluten-free menu now which includes pasta! I didn't feel like I was the gluten-free person at the table. I just felt like I was out to dinner with my family. The staff could be a bit more knowledgable though. More training on allergies. It's not enough to just try when someone has Celiac. No room for error.
I used to go to Cheesecake Factory all the time because they had a pretty good gluten free menu. But a few weeks ago they completely re-designed their menu and many of the GF options were eliminated (Bring back the eggplant sandwich!!). They currently have GF buns but they're not listed on the new menu at all. That makes me think they will only be available until the current stock runs out. Very disappointing.
