Gf pasta not cooked in separate water. I got sick after eating the supposedly gf shepherd 's pie.

Staff knows the options but the menu is deceptive. For example: you can get a “gluten free Cesar salad” but it’s not a Cesar salad. You give up not only the croutons but the dressing as well. Why not list that? Of the kids can get a gluten free Alfredo but not adults? Just weird and frustrating.
A limited number of gf items are itemised in the main menu. I asked for Shepherds Pie but that was off. I asked for the salmon dish, (mash and broccoli). It came with no broccoli and I thought I’d misremembered. The waitress did not return mid-meal, and when she came to collect plates and give dessert menu I checked main course and pointed out I had no broccoli. She said rudely “do you want it now?” My partner ordered burger no pickle. It came with pickle. So all in all, q a choice of gf food. Appalling service.

The Cheesecake Factory has an extensive gluten free menu. Gluten free options include pasta, burgers (with buns), and cheesecake for dessert.
I have celiac. Had the burger and fries as well as gf cheesecake. They have a designated fryer now. Didnt get sick.
Ordered the salmon with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Server brought out my plate and informed me that the broccoli is cooked in same water as pasta and would I like a side salad instead. Thankful for awareness of cross contamination !

The Colonie New York location seems to have their act together now. I ordered the 4 cheese pasta and it was very good. The server seemed to understand celiac . She also remembered when it came time for desert and offered me the only gluten free cheesecake selection they have which is chocolate. Will certainly go again.
They've updated their GF menu and retrained their staff. Their second attempt at GF is a success, and I feel completely safe eating there.
Upon request, they bring me a nicely toasted Udi's roll so I don't feel left out when they bring my honey a bread basket. My favorite meals are the French Country Salad and the Corn Tamale Cakes. Four or five visits and no problems.

They are amazing. It was my favorite before I could eat gluten and still is. So many options and the cheeseburger with gluten free bun was amazing with gluten free dressing for the salad.
Although there are gluten free options there seems to be a lot of issues with staff knowledge. Fries are marked as gluten free on the menu but they are not cooked in a dedicated fryer. Only two salad dressings are ok and server had to check several times to see what was safe.
EDIT January 19: Although a few dishes are clearly marked GF, servers seem to be very inconsistently trained on the subject. Fries are supposedly gluten free, but I was told they are only available when there is a clean fryer available. Was also told during my previous visit that the sauce on my burger wasn't safe, but this time I was assured the same sauce was indeed safe. East here at your own risk, because I sure don't trust them. Get your shit straight, Cheesecake Factory.

Hadn't gone here in a while, because they couldn't seem to find me something gluten free off their menu.
Well, apparently they've got a new menu with clearly marked GF items and options now! Also, GF hamburger buns and gluten free fries!
Americana Cheeseburger A++! Will go again!

I love the gf Turkey burgers. Out of this world! !

My daughter who has celiac told the waiter that she had a gluten allergy and would get very sick if he did not put the order in as gluten free. Waited over an hour for our food. The pasta she got looked gluten free but after 3 bites, she said it did not taste good. Within 15 minutes, she was sick in the bathroom. Told the waiter - did not seem to be concerned. Asked him to take the dish off of our bill and that did not seem to concern him either. Overall, do not eat here if you want gluten free food.

I let the server know I was gluten free - coeliac multiple times so she would get my order right and I confirmed with her again before my meals came out and she still gave me the gluten cheesecake instead of the gluten free one

I went here and ordered a gluten free burger and bun. The food came with a gluten bun. I sent it back as I noticed it wasn’t gluten free. I woke up sick as a dog for two days. If you’re sensitive don’t eat here. Even after the gluten free bun change I still got sick.

Was not bad but experience varies by server. We came twice as staying nearby... only on the 2nd visit did our server correct the misinformation from the first server.
There is NO dedicated fryer... it is shared oil. A lot of the staff are unclear of the difference
