Went into this five guys for the first time today. Usually Five Guys is my “go to” in my area, but I will NEVER be back to this one. My husband told the first employee that I have Celiac Disease, he obviously was clueless. Meanwhile the only other employee that was there literally stood there with both hands touching two buns. The first employee talked to her in Spanish and then she took her hands from the buns and got out our patties and slapped them on the grill. That’s horrible cross contamination right there. We paid for the meal, but ended up throwing it away without taking one bite. Too risky there.
Very inexperienced with celiac disease.
No
Ate here twice, the second time I was literally sick for 7 days. I am done with Five Guys
No
Order taker asks about allergy and informs cook staff. I like that I can see them following the protocols (change gloves, clean grill, etc). Dedicated french-fry fryer. Good food.

Refused to even serve me they said they can’t prevent any cross contamination even though the only gluten containing item in this location is the buns. Wouldn’t change gloves or utensils or anything just told me no.

April 26, 2014. These guys handle the 'Allergy burger' very well. Ask for it by that name, they'll know how to treat your food prep. They have a dedicated frier and make a mean lettuce wrapped burger. I always order extra lettuce and they don't fall apart. I never have an issue with cross-contamination at this chain.

They were so careful when preparing my burger and french fries. They do not have gluten free buns. The fries are safe to eat. I order a burger without a bun and bring in my own bun.

Ordered burger with no bun. Guy was helpful in answering questions. They hard a list of ingredients for different sauces. And marked it was for allergy on the order.
