I am not sensitive to cross contamination so I do not ask the practices. However, there is a separate cutting board for GF items clearly labeled. The GF items are in the same case but separate trays from other gluten full items. Everything is clearly marked and has all ingredients listed. I had the clam chowder, which tasted delicious but was a bit thin. I’d still get it again. They mentioned they use potato starch in all of their soups. The chicken salad was ready to go and also great. An amazing option off the free way for a quick bite!

I can't actually speak to taste/variety, because celiacs cannot eat here. There's a bunch of info about celiac disease on the bakery's website, and they have "gluten free" options, which would make it seem like they know what it takes to actually make food genuinely gluten free, and celiacs can trust them. Nope. A family member got me a loaf of bread from here, so I called them to ask about their cross-contamination prevention practices. They don't have any. They don't take any precautions when baking gluten free items, and "gluten free" bagels are toasted in the same toaster as wheat-flour ones. Absolute no-go for celiacs.

I was disappointed about the staff knowledge of gluten free options. A few items were available but not if you wanted something for lunch. Good for coffee and smoothies and a treat.

We randomly found this place when I pulled off the freeway in Auburn to find a place for a snack. The location is in a shopping center, very convenient to get on and off the freeway. I was attracted by the sign in the window for organic fruit smoothies, and figured there might be a chance they had gluten free baked goods. I was pleasantly surprised. There were a few GF items in the display cases, along with a lot of glutiney items. We tried GF banana muffins (very soft, probably a high tapioca starch content), GF coconut oatmeal cookies (crispy and good), and a GF brownie with frosting on it (sweet and very rich, we definitely needed to share it). They had a variety of non dairy milks available for coffee or hot chocolate. There was also a mini chocolate torte thing, a whole GF bundt cake and a whole loaf of GF millet bread, which we did not try. They also had coffee and smoothies. Overall the desserts were good, and a great treat after coming back from camping. I don’t know about the cross contamination, but I’m not very sensitive to it. I just wish there were more options! The lunch food seemed to not be GF, but I didn’t ask.
